Fun fact: this is one of the few fictional bullets in the game. Mechanic actually makes these from 9x39 BP projectiles slapped onto the case of a .366 TKM then dumping God knows how many gains of rifle powder down the casing. I’m genuinely surprised these things don’t blow up your gun when firing them as I doubt the VPOs were rated to fire overpressure ammo like .366 AP. But, it’s Tarkov, so it’s reasonable that people would make some really cursed combos

It does hit its like a truck. I am new to the game and found the .366 to be powerful, but relatively available. Guns are fairly cheap to build as well. I have been crafting AP-M and building several .366 VPO’s. Killing people with one tap to the thorax is so hilarious.

As an average .366 enjoyer i can confirm that the AP ammo is a great inducer of rage messages

This and the double barrel are my two go-to guns. Cheap and extremely easy to get kills if you ambush people.

I use the 366 AK a lot early in the wipe. The EKO ammo is now simply better than the 762 HP ammo and you get to 366 AP quite quickly in the beginning as it is sold cheaply on the Flea. And this ammunition is simply incredibly strong at the beginning, when everyone wears a maximum of level 4 armor. At close range, one shot to the thorax is often enough to knock out an opponent. In addition, the weapon is very cheap to mod and, as already mentioned in the video, usually comes back. Only the silencer is usually gone when you lose the weapon. Yes the Recoil is brutal, but thats the case for most of the strong weapons at the beginn of the wipe.

I typically run it with 10 round mags just for the ergo so i can snipe at longer ranges. Super fun to min max such a weird gun

The 209 and the sks are the anti-meta weapons of choice for seasesoned players. If I'm on a budget and have a 209 in my stash I ll run it. But due to the recoil, I flip flop between the 209 and the ash-12 for engagements under 100m.

The awful recoil changes really hit this gun hard. Used to be one of my favorites but now its so much worse than there DMRs. Going up against .308 or most 7.62 rifles you are going to be at a significant disadvantage

The EKO ammo got buffed to 30 pen. Early wipe it's probably better than 7.62x39 PS as it can two tap thorax through class 3 consistently. It's my go to start of wipe weapon. Especially since its the only lv1 trader build with a silencer. Edit: Changed one tap to two tap. Forgot the damage wasn't over the 85 mark like I thought. Mixed it up with Geksa.

.366 AP is my go to bullet. Once you learn how to use it, it functions like any other late game bullet at 20% the price. The VPO sniper actually murders early wipe with this bullet. Hopefully the chads stay away from this ammo, i'd hate to see patch notes hitting this ammo.

.366ap is crazy. it has so much stopping power, ive one tapped t4 chest rigs with it more times than I can count. the VPO and its suppressor are dirt cheap. ive seen people snipe with it, but the accuracy debuff makes over 100m shots be iffy. anything underneath is great.

Other than bullet drop (Which you can train to get good at calculating), the 215 bolt action is very usable as sniper in .366 and next to this my favorite weapon, if not tied with this as my favorite weapon in Tarkov. In fact, I have about 5,241 of these in my stash from insurance because nobody grabs them. Load it up with some AP (You can really ration out rounds with a bolt action), throw the shitty but usable Pilad on it with the 24mm ring mounts and you have probably the heaviest hitting sniper rifle for the money. You can have a bolt action that is accurate to like... 3-400 with zeroing for like, 30-40K rubles that can one tap to the head.

One more of my favourite things about this gun that you didn't mention, at the start of the wipe this is one of the only guns that you can run suppressed from traders

I feel like BSG needs to add trigger packs into the game. You could swap an AK trigger pack into this thing and make it full auto. I think trigger packs would add a lot to the game, give trigger packs an increase in ergo stat for every gun that is already full auto, and for certain semi auto guns you could make them full auto. It would require a more of a weapon balance but I think it would add to the modding possibilities in the game IMO.

Got my first Chad kill with this gun, guy was lv59 and I'm just 15, got two of his fully modded gun and a big backpack, love this gun!

The main problem that took me some time to work out with the AP-M (or infact all of the .366 cals) isn't damage it's the Velocity and drop I wasn't getting kills because of it's accuracy it wasn't getting them because I wasn't aiming where I should have been.

Honestly its my go to for fresh wipe. Its cheap, accessible, you can get it suppressed from lvl 1 too and the ammo you can get is ok-ish unless someone is running 6B3TM, and even then just the raw power of the round is enough to lay down PMC's

Well, this explains why I 1 shotted a scav, then did next to nothing when I dumped 8 rounds into a player with dirt tier armor. Very helpful video, I'll give this gun another try with this newly acquired information, because I did thoroughly enjoy the way it felt to shoot.

That and the ADAR are some of my most used guns. Love the semi-auto of them.

I started playing this wipe, the .366 with AP-M was an absolute beast, i've moved away from it as of late just to practice with other guns but god damn APM is great ammo.

.366AP cartridge is the only reason to use the gun. If you look at the ballistics for the cartridge, it has more power, penetration and damage than M80, and almost as much as M62, BUT in a cartridge with almost half the recoil, half the muzzle velocity, and a lighter bullet. So in a nutshell the .366AP is magic and Nikita made it up.

+ 1 more bonus, this is a gun that you can absolutely pimp out while having lvl 1 traders, also it pens lvl 5 armor very well, so only thing that can completely invalidate it is lvl 6 armor, not many players are running that.

Hey Leviticus, I wanted to ask if you know anything about why guns in tarkov slightly tilt left for no reason when you aim, it's been happening to me after the last big update (not wipe). I saw it happening to you as well at 5:05 in the video, you can see clearly that the sight is tilted to the left. If I press Alt+S it fixes the tilt, but it reoccurs later for no apparent reason. Do you know if this is a bug and how to fix this?

It's really fun to use the bolt action VPO in factory with the AP rounds.

So a couple days ago I got a weekly quest to survive woods 20 times and decided to take out the VPO-209 for that. 90K later I have a meta build with amo that one taps the thorax. I'm now 10 raids deep with that gun and haven't died yet

This has been my favorite gun all wipe, ive ever convinced some buddies to start using it. I have my only server wipe with this weapon in the resort, all in close ranges. Killed two using class 5 armors and M1A/SR-25, and a couple M4's. 7 kills in total. It was awesome.

My first wipe and still on level 1 traders after everyone else has moved on makes this my weapon of choice right now. The EKO ammo is one of the few LL1 ammos with any armor pen this patch.

.366 TKM is the gateway to 12.7x55mm. This is the ASh-12s little runt brother.

The first thing that happened to me this wipe is go to woods with a friend, walk for 30 seconds, then her "VOLTA" and we both just pass away because we got shot by a scav with ap-m ammo

.366 ap does not one tap reliably over any amount of range. I have shot a rat on factory in the thorax before, and died. One shot, 84 damage.

I love to see that you've finally done a video on this. I did it before it was cool and it really helped me step up my game, especially when my friends started feeding me AP-M ammo because I couldn't get it easily. It's a funny little gun because you're absolutely right, I got the same modded out rifle back six times.

I remember one time I got one tapped, at least appear to have been, by a .366AP scav while I was full HP and rocking a full durability Gen4 Assault armor. I'm still mad about that.

Every stage of my evolution I've tried making this thing work, it's a great rat cannon but boy if that first shot doesn't kill, you're in danger.

I love using the .336 but I just wish they had a round that had added accuracy and velocity. Aside from that you can delete limbs insanely well with it.

I find if you're going for a close range build nothing beats the EKP + eyecup. It's cheap, sight picture is great, couple different reticles to choose from, and it's a net positive for ergo.

that's funny to watch. It's my first wipe, currently lvl 19. This is my favorite weapon of choice! only recently got 2 completely overloaded 40 level players - in one go! I prefer to play AP ammo... don't think there's much you can do against these rounds if they first pierce your armor and then make swiss cheese out of you.

I discovered this last night. Picked it up off someone I killed. Ran into a lvl 21(I was lvl6), my ak74 wasnt doing anything to their armor, they beat me up pretty bad, so I dropped behind cover and switched to this. After that it was on shot to the thorax and I made out with some loot. It was my third pmc kill, total noob, so it felt pretty cool. Lol

As someone that mains the vpo 366 tkm it's a awesome weapon to main this wipe many times ill start hit mid teir Chad's they start freaking out lol

It's just 350 legend but with a little bit less velocity and probably 200 grain bullets and up

This just got in my propositions, I havnt plaed much couse i got mad at new wipe (im bad okay), but now I will go build myself some VPOs since there is recoil rework

Before flea u can mod this thing with lvl 1 traders the most out of the weapons and suppress it and run eko rounds and aim for neck/head it’s one of my go to guns before 15 if u can find a validay 1-6x and then run a ncstar blue laser for close point fire and that shit is op

I had so much fun with the bolty 215 this wipe. Its basically free so I just used EKO with the scope and if I fucked up the drop on the head, I probably hit their chest and only need one more to finish. I enjoy both guns, the supressor price is also amazing.

.366 has been my go to budget gun for the longest time. It's cheap, powerful, and can one-tap really well against non-chads.

You need to consider ammunition expenditure when you are limited to what you can carry…

It's also pretty slow so you have to compensate more on moving target. But I did my SBiH on wood with the bolt action .366 with AP-M, with a shot at 223m, pretty easily

okay so I have been playing around with ultra eco/early game builds alot. And really people under value this alot. If you going to use the sks with ps, you might as well just use the 366 ak with eko. Its actually better than ps, and you can slap a scope onto the ak for just another few thousand. It ends up only 20% more expensive than the sks but for that you get a scope, better fire rate, better damage, a 30 round mag stock, and overall similar feeling recoil. Use this instead of the sks every time, its flat better for a negligible price increase. Also people tend to loot the sks more often then the 366 ak early game from my experience. People are just afraid of its early game power.
