I feel like I'm in a college class room and the professor just gave me a lesson, a hair lesson! I enjoy every one of your videos, very informative and professional!
My points - She did a really great job of breaking it down and i like that she used the pictures and charts because i am a visual learner. - She also defined the different terms without any type of confusion making it easy to follow. - Even though my curl pattern is looser than hers.....i can still take from her lesson and test different methods to see what works for my hair. - Lastly, That whole style hair and Shirt was giving me Whitney Houston from the 80's Girl!😃😃😃
You make me so sad and so happy at the same time. Sad because you're literally a year older than me and I just feel like I'm not even trying with my life. Like... I wish I could do better but idek where to start. Happy because believe it or not, I actually do learn a lot from you, and I'm not just talking about hair. The way you carry yourself is admirable. Keep it uppp xoxo
I have a much looser texture than you and my hair behaves well since I discovered oil rinses and the LOC/LCO method. Awesome. Every hair wash day turns out fine now.
Exactly! Other factors besides curl pattern plays a part in how your hair will behave. Porosity, density, and texture is important as well. The same hairstyle on a 4c with thick hair is going to look different than it will on a 4c with fine hair. A 3c with low porosity hair will not be able to use the same products as 3c with high porosity hair. In my natural journey, I have given up on the thought of having a hair twin. Because whenever I tried to recreate the hairstyles of many vloggers, even the ones with the same curl pattern as mine, the hairstyle didn't look right on my hair. I realized my hair is a unique in and of itself. Even though I watch other vloggers, I have had to find hairstyles and products regimens that work for me.
You have been glowing lately😍this video was very needed. People think certain products will work for them just because they have a similar curl pattern as someone else but they don’t consider the other factors that affect how something will work for their hair.
U explained every term/characteristics so clearly from the other girls/guys who did informative videos like this now I fully understand and know what I really need to focus on about my hair
I have been searching for something this informative for a very long time. I’ve always been on and off with being natural but this past September I actually stopped doing the transition faze of it and just did a big chop. Definitely not what I expected but it’s helping me learn my hair. I have a few hair faves and they’re great in their own right but they didn’t have my type of hair theirs were either courser or finer and a lot of products and methods didn’t work for me. But THIS here is me! We have the same curl pattern and now even the same cut so it’s not as intimidating to follow and your suggestions and reviews help. I wrote all that just to say THANK YOU !!!
GOD bless you finally someone who knows what they're talking about. This was very informative. You don't know how much you've just help me going through my second big chop journey.
This video is great and super informative. And yes, porosity is the devil. I have low porosity (and coarse) hair. I can wash my hair in the evening, twist it up and 24 hours later, it's still damp. And the LCO method works best for me
High porosity gang where you at???? P.S you have spoken FACTS kaice because i'm high porosity, high density and the L.C.O method works best for me 😊 Natural hair is different for everyone but still beautiful!
So yeah I love how you shared this information I mean I am here for THIS ...btw you have been killing the cut and have held my attention more since I didn't like it not that it matters my reason I loved finally seeing my texture on RU-vid...our curls are rare....anyway you obviously know what you're doing you have healthy color treated hair something I didn't think possible so you are teaching me plenty.....not just from this video anyway I was wrong for judging u but I cried when u cut it LAWWWDDDDD.....the blessing is I can see u take care of it short something I need help with too....I big chopped 6 times in 6 years from damage
I have 2c hair mostly, 3a on a good good day. I use the same products as very tightly coiled women out there, I just use *less product* and that is key (for me at least). I barely use a coinsize of my curl cream (curl enhancing smoothie) and a coinsize amount of gel, an scrunch it into my hair (I use the LOC/LCO method), then I use my serum (also a coinsize) and call it a day. Best tip ever: use the same product, just use less if you have looser texture.
I've long held the belief that the whole hair typing thing is irrelevant as hair is unique to the individual. I've seen RU-vid videos where the lines of hair typing blur and ones where some have a mixture of types on their head. I believe in finding the right products for YOUR hair needs as an individual.
I think it matters in a sense for going for a look that could only be achievable by certain types. i've been too many salons and gave them pictures of hairstyles I wanted and they always told me I can't have them with my hair type. it's not going to look like that.
Depending on where you live they only supply what they think you'll buy....they don't care...u can go to the site...see what you might need and then see where they are selling that particular kind for your hair...Shea moisture has a lot of products made for black women made by a black family. Mainly that's with most product...you have to shop around to find what you need.
Much needed video because Im transitioning and I dont want to continue to by products that dont work for my hair and trying to figure out if it works or not.
Im very hype you have been posting videos the last couple of days, and I definitely tried your aloe Vera diy mask last night and excited to see how my skin reacts to it everyday 😂😂
I think everything was broken down perfectly🤷🏾♀️. I see WAY too many “I don’t know my hair type/curl pattern...HELP!” comments and it doesn’t even matter, really. Or, “FINALLY found my hair twin!” comments, thinking their hair will turn out the same. No, one head of hair will be the same, regardless of if they “appear” to be the same. So don’t be shocked if the products your “hair twin” uses don’t work for you. This information is out there but it seems like a lot of naturals choose to ignore the pertinent parts🧐.
Because in life, it seems that some people like to be assigned to “groups”, needing to fit in. It’s easy to just go along with the group because less thinking/personal responsibility is involved.🤦🏾♀️
Xactly!! U luk bomb sis😍😍😍 that hair typ ish b getn on my nerves. Hair typ by numbers do not exist n my opinion. If it don't exist Bak n our parents n grandparents days- it's non-existent. Thank using much sis 4 speaking on this altho u no the next 1000 ppl gon ask that same question rite after this vid.
I have thin hair . Argan Life Shampoo creates a great feel and smell but does not weigh my hair down. Love it!! Also with free shipping option, i got my parcel smoothly.
Great video! I wish the coarse myths didn't go around. I have coarse strands and they do not need more moisture. Due to size u actually takes longer to dry or retains moisture more. Other than that pet peeve I completely agree! But I cringe when I see these texture videos because I know it's coming. Very few people with curly hair have coarse strands
I definitely noticed a change in my hair after using Arganlife Shampoo. My hair is not nearly as frizzy once I use! I also like that my hair doesn't feel greasy after using it. And Sent in perfect condition!
Tbh all I know is my curl pattern... I’m eating by just fine lmaooo I can’t think about all these things when buying something or styling my hair it’s like studying for a test omg 😭 kudos to y’all who do this. Anyways,I love your videos and your channel btw!❤️🤗
Excellent excellent video I've been saying this for years i figured it out years ago i was happy when i did i do the LCO method or the LCCO method they both work great for me
i have transitioning hair and i would always deep condition with moisture however last week i use a protein treatment and i was amazed on how my curls came to life. I am wondering if i could do it every other week since i was of the impression that too much protein treatments was not good for the hair.
Mandy M F you definitely don't wanna overload your hair with protein. Some youtubers say depending on the level of damage your hair has should determine how often you do protein treatments. If your hair is healthy, try the treatment once a month 👍
