Well said Jeanine! Throughout my life I have been blessed with some very wonderfully beautiful people... they have shared time with me, shared experiences with me and taught me healthy attitudes and practices. They also allowed me to have time with them while they took care of everyday things at home and sometimes at work. All in all I must say they taught me many wonderful and healthy ways of viewing life and all it can bring to a person and some of these folks were not my biological parents yet took on the roll of parent or mentor because they cared. They have inspired me to bring that caring forward and with God's grace, understanding and guidance I make every attempt. This care I learned was for all ages as we are all children of God, I believe, so I continue learning and sharing. At time I supplemented our income by taking on work that I did from home, while devoting my time to raising my daughter and two nieces, and eventually my grandson. Sometimes I worked outside of our home and I made sure that they were welcome there too. I continued this trend while other children were in my care... Child care was shared with those of us who were comfortable with each others care practices. The children and I also shared our home and time with those who's parents needed to work... our home was their home and our care was there for all. They were all 'my children' and I enjoyed my time with each and every one of them. I have been blessed as they continue to share their time and little ones with me too. I feel it is like a circle that keeps on giving. God Bless you for your insight and God Bless your beautiful family as well. With love and good wishes. Linda ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dearest Jeanine, I’m 72 years old and I will be a parent forever. Our children are in their 50s, but they all deal with issues unique to those years. We will always worry, help, rescue, assist, love, and forgive. Always filled with the love and grace from God.

Thank you. This is so real. My Son has seven children. Three if them have left home and live in a different Country. They share an Apartment. Two work at the same Restaurant the other in another field something to do with Computers. They have good jobs and are in constant contact with their Parents an other Siblings. The are doing very well. It is good to see and know. My Son told me once that the mist meaningful thin in his lufw was that no matter where he went how long he was gone he knew he could return home and know I was there waiting for him. My Son and his wife did the same for their children. Dinner time conversations about what was going on in school, play outongs with friends and such. Now they communicate daily from far away, that is so awesome to Witness. You are so very right.

60 years now. Raised three children and sadly three never made it. Grandma to girls and boys and now full time carer to my 94 year old Mom. I have been looked down on and belittled but I have learnt so much in all the years and to rejoice in the grace of God. Parenting and caring is priceless and the world is a sadder place for the economic need for two incomes so that many are torn between the world and their family.

I couldn’t love this more. My five boys- men now, are grown, but they still need me. You don’t ever really get done being a parent but it definitely changes. I made so many mistakes but I’ve asked God to redeem my mistakes and said I’m sorry. God has been so faithful. I did love well, thanks to God! Now I’m a grandma to 4 and oh how precious they are. Now I cheer their parents on and pray. God is so good and faithful and I’m so thankful for His grace! ❤️🥰-Joanna

My MIL told me I was wasting my life because I am homeschooling my kids and I am not using my degrees at a job. God has not called me to follow the world, but Him. He has without question called me to homeschool and I am accountable to Him and not my MIL and others. No job or amount of money is worth losing the hearts and souls of my children. We live on one income and God has been faithful. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Words of wisdom for all Mamas out there! I am a homeschooling, stay at home Mom of 7….. a few years ago I realized that our ministry was stealing way too much of my time with my children. I was starting to feel very depressed and anxious. I suffered with anxiety attacks. I felt like I could never do enough to help people and everyone was pulling at me in all directions. I started to resent my children and I wondered why I was having so much trouble homeschooling and running a ministry. After a lot of prayer, I heard God say to walk away from the ministry. I heard him say that my children are my first ministry and I am neglecting them to take care of other peoples children. I quit and I have never looked back. My depression went away. My anxiety attacks went away. I realize that being a stay at home mom to seven children and home schooling and raising them to know and love our Lord Jesus is enough. I don’t have to do anything else for anyone else. This is the most important job that I can do. I wish that I had seen this video a few years ago when I was really suffering. I hope that other women will see this and God will speak the same words of wisdom to them. Our children need us. They need all of us. Thank you for sharing this. I know that God spoke directly through you because I heard him telling me the same words a few years ago.

Nothing is more important to raising children. Mother Theresa's quote is true for all. I always said I would only have them if I could keep them locked up till they are 19. I thanked God many times that He didn't give me children, cause I would be a nervous wreck and so afraid something bad would happen to them. Well, my husband and I were adopted by 2 young couples and calls us their gay dads and they now have 3 baby girls that call me Papa and my hubby Tata(as he is spnish). My point here is that my heart is full and yes I worry everyday about them but they have a deep respect for my Christian belief that they raise their children to be God's loving children. I really liked the one Jenine. Thanks for sharing as I have aged enough to understand more but that is because ou Lord and savior has and continues to show me the way. God Bless.

You have such a beautiful heart and your children are so very blessed to have you as their mother. It's easy to see how you and Nolan adore them. I encourage you to keep loving them deeply. I get what you’re saying 100%, because i come from a family of 13 kids, and i used to be that bitter child whose parents were absent, in ministry or other children. Obviously thats behind me but im also raising a child now and i do soak in every moment with him because i understand things differently now. I usually catch your videos within a day of release, but we had company, then this and that so I didn't get to it until today. Today is when I needed to hear this, though. GOD IS SO GOOD! I agree with you. The hand that rocks the cradle IS the hand that rules the world. So many people do exactly what you have described and they have a whole mess of regret when they realize that they one precious ministry they had directly from God was pushed off in search of other "higher" ministries. We put a level of importance on ministries based on how many are reached and we miss out on what God has in store for us.

We were told that we may never be able to have another child and God saw fit to bless us with our sweet little girl! She is four months old and we are so thankful. Most days I feel so inadequate but with God's grace I am doing His work. My husband is so wonderful and he has the same mindset. I definitely felt God call me to be a mother. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed staying home with my children. I never really compared myself to other moms. It was just something I felt confident about. I think one good thing was that there wasn't social media and we didn't have computers or cable tv. I was just living my life and doing my thing. Of course there were trying times and days that didn't go as planned. I have to say that I'm so glad that I listened to God when I was 12 and he clearly spoke to my heart about being a mom.

Oh Lydia! I am in the same boat. Homeschooling Mama to some says "Available"?? My church, extended family, and friends seem to think that my life must be empty and we must sit around all day? lol. The guilt and pressure they can put on my boundaries is REAL. I will be praying for you to have the strength and the resolve to keep your priorities in line and feel the significance of what you do every day. It seems like such a small thing we are doing sometimes, but every time I pray, The Lord reminds me that this is my current calling. It isn't a secondary calling, it is my PRIMARY calling, and He needs me to do it well and put it FIRST! Love, hugs, and prayers to you!

I was raised in a broken home. I had a very abusive father, alcoholic ran away as a child, kicked around by family passed from one person to the next never felt stability. As an adult sadly I've dated abusive men. (Trying to break the habit but man it's hard.) I tend not to get into much trouble and keep to myself now because. I'm afraid of people frankly. This is the SHORT story of how a broken home child grows up. Even if my head is on strong. I'm a good person true and free of evil things... The habits of our childhood still are instilled deep and ever so hard to reverse. I was grateful for my grandmother bringing me to Sunday school and Wednesdays at church it was my saviour. I'm not perfect now and still constantly working on this. Even as a 37 yr old woman. But I will never lose hope that I will find a good man and I will settle and feel content and safe.

We are learning and praying over these matters and feel that our little ones are definitely our first mission field. We have included them in some of our other small mission trips and although it takes more efforts , it has been wonderful to see what it does for them as well as us. It seems children have a special way of blessing others and bringing a smile to faces. Thanks for sharing. It's easy as a mom to feel missed in society.

45 years ago I wanted nothing more than to stay home and raise my children. Unfortunately, my husband had a difference of opinion and insisted I had to go to work. We had our own bakery and he needed my help. Of course I understood and helped him out but I always felt so guilty for being at work. I brought my children to work with me because we couldn’t afford to pay a sitter too. My children would get so bored that we would put them to work just so we could get our jobs done. While I felt so terrible and thought I was such a terrible mother my children have wonderful memories of the time they spent in the bakery and credit us with teaching them wonderful work ethic’s because they went to work with us.

Very well said, Jeanine, and such a blessing to YOU that you are so aware of this at the early stages of child rearing. I was thinking that this is an area where Mennonite/Amish have an extra layer of protection than other Catholic/Christian families. We are battling secular culture the moment the kids are school age or old enough to socialize and even within "Church" schools. (Not sure if that is an issue for the Mennonite/Amish). Another advantage you have is your dating culture. You probably have a higher percentage of healthy marriages where both partners have the same life perspective and where God is a priority for both. Certainly every Catholic/Christian couple can benefit from what you said, but it will entail building a core group of like-minded families to strengthen the lessons the parents want to instill and to mitigate the assault on family values and faith. Even without those protections, I totally agree that prayer, relying on Grace, speaking the truth in love is planting seeds that may flourish later even if it looks like we failed, because God desires the conversion of the sinner and not his destruction. Love the Mother Teresa quote. She had another little one about improving one's marriage by "smiling at one another". If you like her style, I would recommend "The Story of a Soul", an autobiography of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus. Her motto was, "do little things with great love". She said if you pick up a pin for love of God, you have done a good and pleased God. Without ever leaving a monastery she entered at age 16 until her death at around 33, she has changed the lives of millions writing an autobiography her sister, also at the monastery, ordered her to write under holy obedience. As she tried to live her vocation, Theresa realized her vocation was "to love!" Isn't it the same for all of us! Will definitely recommend Mr. Tripp's book to young parents!

Thank you for this message. Sometimes it can be so difficult being a parent. All of my children are grown adults. Unfortunately, we didn't do our best to bring them up with a steady Christian upbringing. As adults we often talk with them about our growing faith. Our daughters are more willing to listen but we won't give up on our sons. Thank you again. ❤🙏

Hi Jeanine... I'm 77 mother of 2 grown girls. They were never able to have children so I'll never be able to experience being a grandma. I had to work when my girls were growing up because we had so many medical bills that my husbands salary just wasn't enough so I had to work. What I wouldn't have given to be a stay at home mom. I made most of all their their clothes and cut coupons before it became popular to do so even though I worked. I was very strict so they would learn to grow up to be a good and Worthing person. Also taught them about Jesus and sent them to a good Catholic school. The love of Jesus is important to me to teach your children about God and His Son. But they did grow up to be wonderful women but I missed a lot by working. I was caught between a rock and a hard place. My oldest daughter won't forgive me but it was because she was born with health issues some that the doctors back then weren't aware of till 30 yrs. ago and are still learning so I'm sorry but I did the best we could for her. She's turned so mean lately I don't know what to do but pray consistently. She's divorced and the night she came to me 18 yrs.ago (my husband had passed away the year before so I was alone) I made room for her and her 3 kitties and was glad to do so and have Never brought it up to her but I don't know how to make her understand how much I love her even though she's mean to me. I just wish I could go back in time but we know that's impossible. Maybe if I had stayed home things would be different now. I hope and pray the young mothers who watch your RU-vid channel will listen to what you have to say because you young mothers have so many more things available to you that we didn't have back then. I love your little family God Bless You LuvYa! Bye from Ohio

Love how you are lovingly responding to many Mamas hearts, as I mention below we can be our own worst critic. You are encouraging and thoughtful. Being a mother, a father…”Parent” and even equally important is the role of the “grandparents” and even “great grandparents” in the wisdom that the can bring to “the family” it is not a competition, but I believe this is a message the world shouts and it gets louder and louder. 😳😬😳 Let us each encourage one another, and give His grace, that he freely give to each one of us🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 Bless you and your “at home ministry” ❤️🙏🏼❤️✝️ Love your channel and this topic of parenting is so much needed and I agree we have a BIG God and his LOVE for ALL of us is unending, he will cover a multitude of flaws. A prayer I prayed/asked to God us that he would stand in the GAP where I fell short🙏🏼🙏🏼 It’s not an excuse or a cop out to not be fully engaged, but as you mentioned, life does throw us curve balls. May HIS grace be enough for where we ALL are at, at anyone moment. It’s not about the “Jones’ “ This was a very well done chat, love it❤️ great encouragement for ALL mom/mums…of all generations. We as Mom’s can beat ourselves up for what we should have, could have done etc. The world is quick to beat us down, another great reason we need our Lord and Savior ✝️🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️✝️❤️ Thank you again for sharing this messsge❤️😃👍🏼

Thank you for this reminder! Love Paul David Tripps books! And thankful for Gods grace! I mess up every day but I make sure to ALWAYS say sorry. I didn’t grow up in a Christian home and my mom never apologized when she hurt me, still doesn’t to this day. And I want my kids to see that I mess up a ton, but I’m always repentant of how I’ve treated them. And hopefully when they are grown up they will remember that and not all the wrong things I did! 🧡

I was a mother at 16/17 years old, single mum at 18. Joined a small church when I was 24, served with them for 2 years. My daughter was 6 years old and in that 2 years the church overwhelmed me with their big visions and goals and the work of ministry, or rather helping build their ministry knocked me over completely. My daughter was not allowed to attend the youth camps or women's retreats and when she came to bible studies or small groups she was treated like some kind of burden, put in a corner to draw or entertain herself, if she was hungry she was ignored. I tried to always involve her, asked if she could come along but was always dismissed... So I thought as these women led me that my calling/ministry would only flourish if my daughter could somehow be absent from it. I was so focused on me and this drive to be a somebody within the church that my daughter was always pushed to the side. I was foolish and selfish and the mum guilt was always there but honestly for good reason, I should have felt guilty because my actions were out of line morally and biblically. I was told I was going to preach to thousands of people, that I would be a very key instrument in God's kingdom to lead many souls to Christ, all these prophetic words spoken over me puffing me up. I was gaining attention from other ministries and larger churches and becoming a somebody at the expense of losing what mattered most... My daughter is almost 12 now and she lives with my mother, the situation is complicated but my daughter hardly speaks to me, the last few months anyway I've heard nothing. When God pulled me out from all that chaos and took me under His wing in 2019, I spent 7 months with my daughter pouring into her, apologising for various things, asking for her forgiveness and just reconnecting... It was pleasant until she decided to move away to be with her dad, she's now with my mother and each time she's visited she's had bitter feelings toward me because I married and now have a 2.5 year old who is dearly loved and cared for. I know it is hard on her, she's almost 12 and life just becomes more tough emotionally into these years of her youth. I have tried to reassure her with love but so many voices are against her and me... Life is hard. Being a mother is hard. Things are not fair and we often focus so much on the bad but I know there is still hope for every situation. Don't give up no matter how difficult things seem... I'm speaking to myself here also. Excuse the lengthy comment just felt to share this. I've been hurt so much as a woman but even more as a mother, I wish my daughter knew she was loved dearly. This video was well put together and I really do love content like this as it really does share my own heart on motherhood/parenting. We all fail everyday in numerous ways but our strength and our help comes from God. I know I'd do 100x worse if Christ were not picking me up everyday, He makes all things possible. 💛

I couldn't agree with you more. Parenting is the hardest most rewarding and important job in the world. My kids are grown and need me as much now as they did when they were growing up-even if it is just to listen to them.
