Former National Director of Public Prosecutions Bulelani Ngcuka shares his thoughts on the work of the NPA and why Jacob Zuma should not have been President. He was speaking to Xoli Mngambi on Newsfeed AM.
Thank you very Mr Ngcuka for what you let us know about what happened cause like me and the other young south Africans were so young that time even me I interested about politics but this truth we never got it with out you and I like to thank newsfeed to call you this very important information more specifically in particular time in South Africa 🤝🤝 Tshawe Jokiwe from Centane but currently I'm in Joburg God bless you
let us leave politics to the best ,i respect you Mr Ngcuka and u explain these things very well ,those with eyes and ears truly understand what you saying
You just display your naivety and ignorance. Lleaving politics to the politicians is the reason for the very corruption that we are experiencing. Are you that biased (simple) that you cannot use your intellect and morality to decide what is best for the country? Obviously not - which is why you voted for Zuma.
@@argentnexus7129 Your vote doesnt change shit, Mandla is correct, they are in it to eat like u are in ur job to eat, they are not studying politics and political parties to save us eh
Bhuti Mandla, best observation. I have a Revolutionary Love for this Comrade Adv. Bulelani Ngcuka who made His call of duty a most Professional one and made the NPA a most operational Directorate within the State of RSA. I Salute the view you share too, my Leader 🇿🇦🤜
Bulelani is always in his full senses when dealing with state related matters. He new his work well and able to balance politics with prosecution . Well done Bulelani .You bet well when you were on the crease.
Belelani, that interview was quite an eye opener. You have a backbone sir. You've earned my respect. You did not earn that position for nothing. You have what it takes. Bravo 👏👏👏
Thanks Adv Bulelani Ngcuka. SIYABULELA MHLEKAZI. SIYABONGA. 👍 👌 Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 In your mind and your heart don't you feel that you have what it takes to be a suitable replacement for Judge President? To the Presenter, what a great interview 👏 Indeed, the respected and honorable Advocate is 💯 % correct that if the NPA did their part to earn their keep, the Zondo Commission was definitely not necessary. A billion rand later NOTHING IS DONE. The Judge President, called for prosecutions and got vilified by criminals and corrupt cadres of the ANC. Shamelessly SHAMILA ignores her job but proudly spends the Taxpayers hard earned money. 😢 SHAMILA is warming her seat shamelessly and with " dignity and pride", she and her unqualified gang are enjoying their salaries when the country is bleeding. Some people have no integrity, and no pride. What a sad day in SA 😢😢😢
The npa could foresee that the ANC was totally , with both feet , involved with the Gupta and money laundery was coming in all direction ,, and there couldn't secure witness protection because of mostly , it involved high profile , ANC office bearers ..
He really brought clarity and dispelled all those political lies he was accused off. The only issue though, why people were not prosecuted because of the political ramifications or positions they held? Crime is crime even if you hold a prominent political position or you are a deputy president. If you guilty then you need to face the full might of the law.
Mr Mgambi thank you for call Mr Ngcuka for us with interesting information for south Africans ( Kanti ugcine uvimba uphuphumayo zindaba ezimnandi kangaka) Tshawe lowo ku Centane salute our former NPA leader
Xoli, thank you again for delivering this kind of videos to the people, as always where you reveal critical issues where the community ends up not trusting and believing in our judiciary law and the government and the judiciary institutions anymore. As they are denied, literally by the government to do what they know and believe in, as they are always threaten by those who are in the Parliament above them in so many ways, even if the evidence clearly shows that. The bad thing is that our future generations are going to realise that, pursuing those kinds of professions it doesn't work anymore,as they will have to be forced to do as they are told, instead of doing the right things they've been told by their tutors. As only that, shows how much will almost every person will be living like puppet, as there is no government including law anymore. Which i can conclude by saying, there has never been a law in our country, as we now hope that the EFF party is going to over turn all that, because that is the hope to each and every South African citizen.
Professional Advocate Ngcuka, you did your level best as the head of NPA, but politicians beyond your level of serving are the ones who tampered with the case and made it worse to look more political. I salute you My Leader;
No he also has a soft spot for senior politicians, may be you didn't understand. If you prosecute such person you must think of the impact that affect his daily office role. Crime is crime it doesn't matter what office you occupy
What I don't understand is that most people all the time underrate Zuma cos of his educational level BUT Zuma is full of wisdom & very clever. All these shenanigans that are attached to Zuma, he doesn't do all those things personally so it is very difficult to pin him on all those things. The fact that, that an educated fella played his cards right & correctly to the point of manoeuvred up unto the highest office in the land of President in a very advanced African Country like South Africa with lot's of educated people & a population of around 50 million. That alone speaks a volume, it also unmask what kind of a person is Zuma & what kind of intelligence this guy has regardless of his educational background. Like him or hate him but the guy is more than clever than an average university graduate. He gives orders verbally something that is very difficult to be proved in a court of law cos it doesn't leave a trail. This Country needs to forget about Zuma and forge ahead just make sure that never again to fall in a same Zuma pit.
Let's not try and romanticize the situation. A greedy man took over the resources of the country and divided it up amongst ANC elites. Meanwhile the rest of the people who voted him in remain poor and unemployed
@@thabangmotaung4759 absolutely correct, we having a useless justice in South Africa, thugs like Zuma,Magashule excetra excetra suppose to Rot in Jail, unfortunately our justice are just worthless.
@@lindilemgqobele4337 Oscar was also home and dry ,the 1st verdict was 5 years Culpable homicide, however a normal citizen would have been sentenced to life imprisonment.
One of the best interviews that I've ever seen.I must say it was eye opening n intriguing.I just wish u can interview more people's who are comes from different spheres of leadership, whether political, business n even religious leaders.
It is true what Ngcuka is saying, prosecution without clear evidence is fatal to a prosecutor's career especially when the prosecution is against a high public figure.
Seriously? Please listen to him again. Not enough evidence to win the case and having no evidence are too different things. You cannot bring a person in court unless you have enough evidence to secure a conviction. Even a person guilty of murder can walk free if the evidence is not enough. That does not mean they are innocent. Of course he's part of this case. Not as an investigator!!! As a person who'se name is FOREVER LINKED to this case!!!
Jacob Zuma was the President of South Africa Period .Your Obsession for Jacob is Annoying .you have been talking about Zuma for more done ten years now you come with excuses for lack of performance full of nonsense
True you yourself is full of nonsense and shit too.....here a man was going to be persecuted without evidence and be destroyed for who knows what......ungazosinyela la.
Thank you Newsroom Afrika for your robust and provocative journalism that is embedded to a cardinal of transparency without fear, favour and prejudice. From where I'm sitting I'm very much satisfied with your work and you are the best.
What former NPA Boss is telling us the public, is that our status when it comes to prosecution play in favour...he must admit he played foul, it clearly shows if it was anybody he would've been arrested right there, but some won't be arrested. ZA judicial system for you
Mr Ngcuka is telling us in many words one thing that we are not equal before the Law. There are those untouchable individuals. He just made it clear. Thank you Mr Ngcuka for your honesty.
Well Mr Ngcuka we may be back to square one because the police in the Eastern Cape have refused to investigate a case of murder saying to the father of the victim they don't go to villages where sheep are grazing. They only go to cities and townships. When they were called to the place where the offender was threatening people with a gun, they asked if anyone has been killed yet, and they never came, 2hrs later the man was gunned down. That was more than 2 weeks ago, still no arrest has been made. This is what is happening now in South Africa.. People are allowed by police to get away with murder because police will not live their comfort zone. Today the 19/06/2021 that boy was buried. The person is known to the victim and relatives but police refuse to go and look for him because he happens to be in the village, a no go zone for the police of O R Tambo district
not having enough evidence doesn't mean Zuma is innocent, but is professional of the NPA to want to have a substantial evidence before bringing someone like President Zuma to court, we are all the same before the law yes but it would be irresponsible if not knave of us to thing that any ex president or billionaire is equal to any common South African Citizen
Whoever owns Newzroom and ENCA wants Zuma in Jail so bad... it’s disgusting. 🚮 The man keep repeating himself that he had no good evidence to prosecute Zuma but the Anchor is trying to impose the narrative of “ fear or favor “ Xoli you should be ashamed of yourself
Whoever writes these RU-vid titles should start a blog and a channel and an NGO because where in this interview was this said? Hai man sukani with your activist journalism
@@alisonquinn7143 lies, it's not the 90's anymore. You can't feed us lies and expect us to agree with you people. President Zuma is for the people, not your puppet ramaphosa
Mara Xoli kept on mentioning that the decision not to prosecute was based on political consideration yet the man kept on saying it was based on insufficient evidence Ay nani kodwa Xoli🤦🏿♂️
Not only the NPA was not doing its job, also Parliament was not playing its oversight role. There was just no government during the Fifth Administration.
@@lindokuhlemthembu3015 Corruption was worse during apartheid. The difference is, since the Europeans as Whites used to call themselves, did not consider Africa as their home, they were taking resources out of SA to their home countries. Hence there were no checks and balances until Audit laws were enacted in1998. While it was understandable for Europeans to be corrupt with impunity, it surely shocks for Africans who claim patriotism but still subject people of this country to the same sufferings they were subjected to by White Supremacists. Unlawful personal enrichment can never be part of the revolution in One's home country.

Xoli, it is just so BLOODY annoying, listening to a qualified lawyer answering so stupidly. By not doing what they know they are supposed to do,according to they have been taught. As a results he is now lying by mentioning things like threads, hate and many of that kind. If that it is how it works, then it is useless for us to send our youth to learn practice judiciary law, as it sounds so stupid because instead of practicing what they know is right for them to do, they are going to be dictated upon to what they should rule their cases, which sounds really, really stupid and annoying. Right now I'm going to mention that, should they have given JZ a period of 50years behind bars, he would have not in an accident, which is much making headlines every day in the press, as JZ, would had been safe. I think the judge is just embarrassing himself and well as degrading the profession as a whole, while N
Cyril was supposed to be president after Mandela. Zuma was not supposed to be president. ANC with their selfishness, they were rewarding Zuma by making him deputy after he helped ANC to dislodge IFP, KZN
This country has sooooo many problems to face but you are taking about the man for more then 15 years there's loadsheading, lockdowns, etc but still you talking about one man, before he was president you where talking, then he became president, you still talked and now he's retired you still talking....cicici when are we talking about the real issues we're facing as a country
Yes u said u received your fair share while we as Mzansi citizens never received any share at all instead we left in house of arrest today our hope to fair freedom Mr Mhlanganyelwa Zuma can't practice his rights due to failure of NPA as noticed currently in court Zuma vs IEC NPA failed to answer judges with clearly & simple that have resulted to spend time in court unnecessarily as laymen which directions we have to go this why we should lose hope to R1bn president who known as A Spy of Apartheid as Lekota stated in parliament where today IEC & Spy president say that Zuma can't be there obviously it a ground of corruption Zuma have to dismissed to leberateTha Mzansi citizens
Mr Nguka is very much self contradicting in his answers and I would love you to play this interview to him if he will give you the same answers he gave in this interview
If I was Ngcuka and other NPA Directors I will be ashamed of myself. Nobody can defeat time. Now it is an open secret that evidence available suggest that there were many big "'holy cows'' involved in this "'Armsdeal Corruption."' Ngcuka decided to focus on "'Zulu Boy"' .I suspect Schabir caught fire but he was not the main target. Now do you expect "'Zulu boys"' to keep on respecting this "'state"'?Is this how the state earn respect or it . hope on force ? Ngcuka simply focus on "'Zulu boy"'.He abuse state resources to help his partner and others who wanted "'THIRD TERM"" at all cost. In a normal democratic state with a fair and just criminal justice system Ngcuka was going to be charged also. We are where we are because of Ngcuka. He had a chance to end "'corruption "' once and for all when this armsdeal corruption was expose instead he pursued personal interest. We may even descend to"" New New South Africa "' or "'New New New New South Africa "'because of abuse of state resources. This interview is embarrassing. We call this a democratic state? Personally,Ngcuka said it all about this state. They are not suppose to be in power. Listen to this interview again. If you focus on "'Zulu Boy"' you miss damning information about this state and ruling party. I have lost hope after listening again.Other NPA directors are no better than Ngcuka. One day they must account about armsdeal.
Ngcuka was right when he said had they prosecuted Zuma there would be pandamonium...and yes thats exactly what happened more than a month ago with the destruction caused by Zuma's followers.
By now RU-vid subscription has doubled since Xoli joined Newsroom Afrika. One of the best yet. You can see Mr Ngcuka's feelings about Zuma are reciprocal in kind and time has proved Mr Ngcuka correct. The pillage is for all to see and yet we ignored the signs. People voted for Zuma egged on by Helen Zille.
It’s strange that Bulelani is a hero today. What’s wrong with an individual facing charges? If it were a person from Alexander he would have been prosecution. Totally out of order. We are equal before the Law
