@@kmccurdy21 I'd rather the park replace demon with a chance hyper gtx that makes essentially an extended/reimagined steaming demon. For now though we need to see what (if anything) replaces bobsled
@@quinnheal6954 the model car outside of the queue is for people to feel what the restraints are like. The restraints on Superman are quite painful, so trying that car might help save some people who can’t stand the pain from riding it.
I just did Wicked Cyclone last month for the first time ever, and it was INSTANT TOP 5 for me. It kept reminding me of a smaller version of Steel Vengeance - the pacing never stops, and the part that reminded me of Steel Vengeance the most was the final third of the ride is probably the most intense part. I wish it wasn't so far away from where I live.
Wicked Cyclone is definitely in my top 10. Yeah it's the slower, shorter cousin to Steel Vengeance, but that's a great thing because it still has a lot of what you love in that.
Looking VERY forward to the documentary but just in case it’s not included, if Alan Schilke had a response to your comment on Joker beyond, “ok”, that’d be really interesting to hear. Did he agree? Did he give reasons and a breakdown of what he was trying vs how it worked out? He’s a master at his craft and just like any master painter, hearing his take on his weakest work is almost more insightful than hearing about them speaking about their best.
Wicked Cyclone kick started my RMC love, just this year! Looking forward to your doc: it will only fuel my need to ride the rest of their catalog! This universe picked a pretty snazzy year to get me back into coasters and thanks for your help. 😊
When I was a kid I lived in CT so Six Flags New England and Lake Compounce were my home parks! So much has changed since I've been there last (I moved around a lot in my teen and adult years)
I remember going to Six Flags New England a couple times in 2006 and 2011. I miss going to Six Flag New England, which is my favorite amusement park so far.
Superman is my favorite Intamin. It feels just like a regular lap bar to me. Not as good as the t-bars, but still fine. No pain, no stapling, I don't even realize that it's there.
SFNE is my home park, I agree that the layout on Superman is top notch. The restraints do suck, and over the years its aged. I think it could use a retrack. Goliath is fully removed now also!
I figured out how to get around the ubricks! Just scoot all the way back so it hits your legs and use your legs to hold it up. It'd be nice if you didn't have to do that, but it's better than nothing!
I was just there last August. It's currently my fourth favorite of the 6 Six Flags parks I've been to. And coincidentle that I was at JB's Smokehouse for dinner at the end of the day but I had the brisket sandwhich instead as Mike from Canobie Caster suggested it. He also suggested Nicky's Pizza down the road and I had that the day before (it was delicious).
Kinda surprised I missed you guys, I've been running marathons all summer since SFNE is my temporary home park. Such an amazing ride, my first taste of RMC and damn is it a good one! 👍🤘
4:20 I never got on Superman when it had the old restraints so I never had anything to compare to. I guess the new restraints are fine. Like I said, I never knew what the old ones were like anyway
Can't say enough how bad i feel for those who didn't get to ride superman with t-bars. It was the perfect ride. Hopefully they do something about it in the future
My biggest problem with Six Flags food isn't the taste, it's that if you order online to skip waiting, you end up waiting 20 minutes for them to make your food
So what i'm hearing is Goliath might manage to follow airtime thrills to Oklahoma and be at his home park once again? wow haha and I live just 2.5 hours from Frontier city if it gets new trains I will be pretty excited to be able to go and ride that thing
I've never ridden an RMC, and wondered how bad the "ejector" airtime is. Skyrush killed my bad knees, and if RMC is more of the same, I'll gladly skip it, but wanted to know if they were similar in "air".
I definetly reccomend retrying Riddler Revenge. I absolutely hated it as mind Eraser with the god awful headache inducing restraints. It was probably my least favorite coaster in the world outside of Goliath and Canobie Corkscrew. New England is my home park so I went on it a bunch. Ever since they changed it with the new restraints it's been an entirley different ride. The ride somehow got so much smoother with seemingly better pacing every time i've ridden the new version. Also the restraints are genuinely comfortable. It shot wayyy up my personal rankings. Also Sidenote, Batman has been running amazing this entire year I noticed that every time I went this summer. Underrated ride.
Wicked Cyclone is a wonderful coaster.....IMO a smaller version of Steel Vengeance. But BY FAR the best coaster at SFNE, my home park. I don't know how folks can put Superman ahead of it, not even close. Superman is just ok IMO. I was there on Oct 3....I am thinking you were there before that and posted the video on Oct 3? it rained lightly most of the day and lines were minimal and no flash pass needed.
Last Saturday I tried to rope drop Wicked Cyclone and waited 40-ish minutes not because of the line, but because it broke down. Those RMC trains are temperamental.
i cannot understand how anybody ranks that batman floorless over bizarro at SFGAdv. i also found the restraints on wicked cyclone to be much more uncomfortable than those on superman. it’s just a matter of body type i guess.
I personally think giant inverted boomerangs are much better than regular boomerangs. Never rode Goliath though, I did ride Deja Vu back in the day though and loved it.
This Was a great video! The crazy thing is, I would actually rather have Superman Get the Intamin T-bar restraints than the park get a new roller coaster. Also next time you go to six Flags New England don’t even bother going on Riddler Revenge ( Mind Eraser ) it is so shaky you feel like you’re dying, And your head will bash against your seat.
the restraints on superman are horrendously bad. After my first ride my underwear design was imprinted on my thigh, the second ride was decent as i was able to hold up my lap-bar, but my third ride left me swallowing 2 advils.
I rode Riddler Revenge (when it was called Mind Eraser) in 2017 two days before riding Great Nor'easter, and honestly I thought GNE isn't much better than Riddler. GNE definitely has the smoother transitions because of the retrack. Easily the best SLCs in America for sure.
So I went here in July and Sept and I'm just going to say cyclone was running 5 mph faster in July I haven't experienced anything like it !!!! In my top 3 in July Sept was still great but not quite the same so depending on the time of year would change "enthusiasts"mind about this ride
Oddly, I didn't think the bricks hurt the sensation of air on Superman at all. I didn't feel that well secured, in fact, but being erm, not skinny places a different limit on tightness. I was somewhat let down by it though so maybe that was an effect (still the best coaster there). Sure it's a lot better than Superman ROS but the heavens didn't open up and the number of laps I could have had on ROS in the time driving to SFNE...
You think six flags is gonna pour more money into Goliath haha? They don't care anymore with it. Love the dark night entrance. Better than any of the Batman ones.
My dad is till mad at six flags for buying Riverside and tearing down the racetrack which is where Gotham city is iirc. I went there once as riverside for high school physics, and once when supes just opened and the tbars we're incredible. I don't mind the current restraints as middle aged me is pretty much stapled on every ride.
My home Six Flags park! Love Superman and Wicked Cyclone those are by far my two favorite roller coasters there but Batman is not too shabby though! They really need to fix the restraints for Superman they're really tight and uncomfortable. Otherwise that'll be my favorite ride there so for now Wicked Cyclone is the best ride there. Also i'm so glad they're getting rid of Goliath what a joke that was!
The worst theme park meal I've ever had was probably when I went to Stricker's Grove a few weeks ago and then had this horrible extremely dry chicken that they just stuck between 2 buns and called it a sandwich.
