Within “wide right” lies untold amounts of collective trauma, and any utterance of that dreadful phrase is liable to reduce a Bills fans to tears, the fetal position, or fisticuffs.
And, as fate would have it, that was just the beginning of Buffalo's nightmare.

I'm a life-long Buffalo resident and Bills fan (which is redundant to say). I'm definitely not alone in saying that I wouldn't trade the four consecutive appearances for one win. Those seasons were fun to watch.

It's no longer "wide right!", but "13 seconds". They really thought they were gonna win. Diggs said he didn't doubt the chiefs could make something happen, because he himself was a part of the miracle in Minnesota, but the majority of the bills would be lying if they say they didn't think they had won that game

That was a great run, and a great team. Looking back we can appreciate what they accompished. The Bills just ran into some great NFC East teams, Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys

Poor Scott Norwood. I hate these kind stories where one guy is blamed for a team not winning a championship. Buckner, Norwood, Steve Smith. You win as a team, you lose as a team.

This is unfortunately the closest they got to winning it all - the other 3 attempts right after were afterthought losses where they were barely in the game at best. The Cowboys really chewed them up and spit their windows of contention right out.

At least Mahomes 13 seconds game won't hurt as much given Mahomes didn't win the Super Bowl last year. However, Josh Allen's first Super Bowl window is closing and Mahomes as already gotten two in his first window (one during a rebuild year) and his second window is opening. Buffalo looks like they'll be playing bridesmaid to the Chiefs and Bengals.

There was a helicopter gunship over stadium for gulf war security.just heard a couple weeks ago that it was over goalposts probably to get a good look and pushed ball wide right.there has to be film.gunships generated heavy wind

If you rewatch that entire game for the 1990 Super Bowl the Bills had so many chances to put the game away. It’s ridiculous to blame or even fixate on the missed field goal.

7:24 - It wasn't the closest Super Bowl ever played. It didn't go into overtime. SB LI went into overtime (the only one to do so).

I'm tired of the field goal kickers always getting the blame for the Bills losses! If the Bills were a quality franchise, Bass wouldn't have been put in that position in the first place! If Allen, Diggs, Shakir or any of the rest of them make a horrible play, they have more plays to make up for it, but a place kicker only has ONE chance, and the so-called fans always place the blame there! That's total BS! Bills fans are fair weather fans and when they lose, they turn on their own and that's why the Bills are a cursed franchise, and they will NEVER get to the top of the mountain!
