Mikey had such a unique tone and style which afforded Panic a sound like no other. So when people bash them and him it really never made sense to me (no pun intended) because it is derived from pure ignorance. You may not enjoy their music or be a fan, however that man is beloved by countless people who hung on every note he played for years. On a good night Panic was the hub of the universe for me.
It's Mikey's 61st birthday today. Just want to say thank you for posting this video; Jack is one of my favorites and I've watched it countless times over the years.
God Bless those bringing this gem out for us old school WSP fans. I'm so glad I was fortunate enough to have met him on the sidewalks of Amsterdam and backstage Pelham, AL back in the good ole days...... other band member JoJo used to have some cool parties at his house on Beanland in Oxford, MS during the 80's... I sure miss all those Super Hot Ole Miss Girls that used to hang with us.......... those was the days people
Mikey, I started learning WSP tunes back in 94, still incredibly inspired every time I listen to your talent...... your my guitar hero... Wish you were here.....
Just stumbled upon this Geoff--great shots man. Been jamming a lot lately and was looking for some inspirational footy of Mikey's hands---this was perfect. Peace to you brother, Phred
This guy made the earth will swallow you dvd with his brother I believe, and I bet he's got hundreds of clips like this one, and the she caught the katy on his videos that are unaired and bad ass. Thank you for posting this video.
Never gets old....Seems like yesterday when I saw this no name band in the Classic city..the year was 89...Hope Mikey is still bending em where ever he may be.
One of the best shows ever...That night in The Green Mountain State, the boys, were peaking....Certainly IMO best Jack, and top 3 Surprise,Casa and Mr.Soul....Nice shots,Mr.Hanson, well done.
When I lost my brother and best friend who was also a giant widespread man, what else was her to play and his wake then? Michael Houser Door Harp. I miss you both but I am always with you through music.
Dang. I miss Mikey so much. Everyday sometimes. His passing was a gut punch. WSP shows are my best memories. We had the time of our lives and then some.
What you said to a tee!!!! Mikey died with grace, he will forever be my idol. Got a Houser tattoo on my 42 birthday. He is and always will be my guiding light.
He gets me through the whole song, but starting at 3:30, whoa! Simply still takes my breath away. Played live or I the studio, it gets me every time. Sure miss Mikey. He was definitely a gift from above, well, as is the whole band. But Mikey just had that little extra oomph to it!
the camera man is a god send! so many amazing historical videos of musicians and all they ever focus on is their face... all of the video of jimi hendrix is the prime example. how could you be such an dud and not film his damn hands?!!!
he was a amazing human being and all the the shit people wrote on spread net 15 years about why he had to sit I am getting upset I am out we were blessed to have him on this planet it's not the same and it sound will never be just dance for me I do in my car and I still have some 95 96 97 master copy and they are golden
Oddly that rig sold on eBay about 4-5 years ago. I had just went through a divorce and couldn't touch it but told all of my friends. Not sure where it ended up from there....:(
Wes they will never ever know. This was my life. It me from this mortal coil for a few moments to that other. God "Panic" i miss him so very much to this very minute.
Jimmy Herring is a massive talent and does a great job for WP but his style is more suited for Aquarium Rescue Unit with his flashy speedy licks and jazzy technique. Love them both!
