That is something. Kentucky wasn't lonely. I was married for 28 yrs . My husband was struck by lightning and died instantly. It was traumatic. I had a hard time coping but i had 2 kids to raise. So i kept working. It has been almost 16yrs and i still don't want to remarry. I can't imagine going through 6 marriages. To me that would be too complicated and heartbreaking. Thanks for sharing this interesting story !

It sounds like she was a determined woman. I can't imagine being married to dix different people. Let alone the fact that they all passed away. She just didn't want to be alone. Strong woman, and as much as she accomplished a determined woman. Thank ya'll for another great video. Again, this raises about as many questions as given answers. Hope you didn't get too cold out there, Leo. Heather, i hope you were in a warmer spot. God bless ya'll and stay safe out there on the road, especially in that weather.

I had a cousin who was married five times by the time she was 27---twice to the same guy. If she thought a man belonged to another woman, he instantly became attractive to her. That included among family, but she was never successful in that aspect. None of them predeceased her. They always divorced her. I know personally that she was not above blackmail in her attempts to get what she wanted from a man, especially if he was married to someone else. She was married a couple or three more times, but as she aged she encountered more 'obstacles'.

Back in the day (1800s) divorce of course was looked down upon. Doing our genealogy we found me great great grandfather in the census as a widower living with his daughters family. We also found his wife ( my g g grandmother) living in her owned boarding house listed as a widow. I'm pretty sure neither thought their spouse was actually dead. Lol

The title is enough for me to be extremely suspicious. Then we hear a husband died prematurely (40 yo) from an "unknown cause." Coincidence?
@wxwatcher9315
@wxwatcher9315 5 месяцев назад
At some point (probably after 2 or 3 predeceased husbands), we are compelled to think the definition of "soulmate" may have been a bit different in this story.

Kentucky had two children with her first husband. They were Rebecca and a son born in 1861 who died in 1865 a few months before his fourth birthday. Mr. Musick was Ulysses "Van" Simpson Musick and was born on 15 October 1868 in Magnolia, Morgan, West Virginia. He was married first to Iantha Spaulding and they had nine children.

No us men have become more selective as we age, and I wouldn't marry now for the first time without an iron clad prenuptial agreement. And it would include clauses for any children born into the marriage. I have saw to many guys lose everything in divorces and go back and do it again.

Thank you for the interesting story, Leo... So, a couple questions... you called Mr Musik Robert when you first talked about them marrying, but then said you coukdnt find his first name? Im confused about that... also, there was no mention of what happened to him, or how he died? I find it odd that Rebecca Scott's(?) Headstone says Wife, but has no last name on it... strange... any insight into her? Again, thanks for such an interesting story... maybe one day I will tell you about my Great Grandmother, Julia Isadora Smith (Dora). She was married several times, and her first husband Jacob C Smith, was my ggrandfather. Eventhough she married a few times after him, she changed her name back to Smith when they died... she was the first woman reporter for the Lexington Herald in Ky... but the facts behind her story, are much more convoluted, and interesting....😮
@thehillbillyfiles
@thehillbillyfiles 5 месяцев назад
Rebecca's headstone says Cline on it, pretty big letters. She married a Cline. Far as if I said Robert, that is the last name of the other husband, Robert Ferrell
