Henryk Wieniawski (1835-1880) Romance sans Paroles et Rondo elegant, opus 9 for violin + piano. Violin Part : imslp.simssa.c... Piano Part : ks.imslp.net/f...
It has some quite hard techniques in it as well though, apart from the accords and double stops also the upbow staccato for example. In comparison to other pieces like his first violin concerto or op.15 "Variations on an original theme" it is indeed fairly easy - which doesnt make it generally speaking easy just compared to his hardest pieces.
You can just spiccato the upbow staccato parts. Even the great Nathan Milstein had no upbow staccato. Listen to his Intro & Rondo Capriccioso by Saint Saens. Still sounds good.
when i first learned this piece i would ricochet the upbow staccato sections because I didn't know how to properly play them, then I realized it ruins the tone so I caved and spend time working on the technique. it gets easier the more you practice. ray chen has a great video on yt that teaches basics for learning upbow stac.
This is a most beautiful piece of music and even as an amateur on the violin you are able to play the Romance. Great! The Ronodo is more for professionals and most delightful to listen to.
There are some incredibly skilled amateurs out there. Just because they choose not to play violin for a living doesn't mean they can't play very challenging pieces. For example I can play the Legende and I don't consider myself more than a competent amateur.
Hard to tell, but could be a vibrated trill. Those are pretty easy to do fast, because they need almost no movement. Also trill up high on the e string speak way faster than lower on the a and d. But still impressive.
@@mrswag535 Hey, try to do it down bow then...we had a fellow violinist in Cincinnati Ohio from Venzuela who played "Hora Staccato" (Dinicu) DOWN BOW...! And he was awfully good at that! We were dying laughing! If you are not good at up bow staccato see how down bow feels to you, you just might be good at that..!😉😊
@@natascha5864that’s what Murphy music academy guy says. I can do it both ways, but down bow definitely not as fast. Maybe if I practiced more, I just don’t really see the need to to be able to do it both directions up to speed as I’m an amateur.
Nope, ethnically he was Jewish. But there was a Gypsy minority on the Polish lands occupied by Russia in the 19th century, so he could have drawn inspiration from them as well.
Its not a grace note. Its a cadenza in which the player can play with the length and speed of notes. So it is perfectly correct to have a long note there.
Because there’s really no way to play all three of those as grace notes without making it sound like chords. There’s not enough space to articulate every one of them and so they end up just being rolled into a chord, which, I think wienawski intended as he was a violinist and understood that.
Nah, I’ve performed this one for recital but I still don’t feel like touching concerto 2. There’s a larger variety very complex techniques in concerto 2, not to mention a much longer piece so there’s a whole lot more of it aswell.
HenriVieuxtemps RU-vid Licentie Categorie Muziek!! Waarvan ik er nu 7 muziek stukjes heb beluisterd, The Carnival of Venice-- Salvatore Accardo......... Leonard, no 2 Echt apart. No 7 is zoekende??
Niziol and Tatarski definitely have a very interesting and skillful version of the Romance. But their available recording is different from the one here. If this is Niziol please let me know where I can buy the recording.

It is, none of the chords or stops demand anything higher than third position (besides the octaves, of course,)you just have to get clean articulation and it just rolls off the fingers lol
carrottoponcrak wow it actually fits well. I think of it like a resolution to a storm which is the music. There were some largo parts in the piece , I admit there are more stacato and fast parts. I think it's a beautiful end to a beautiful piece
Im fine with it but the double stop d throws me off a bit. It feels like there should be f and d double stop there or something that winds down a bit more than the d. Kinda feels outa place especially with that previous note
