Today's major take-away is: Relationships with less stabbing tend to be healthier and more supportive than those relationships with stabbing behavior. And relationships with no stabbing behavior are "the best." There is no safe quantity of stabbing behavior. Thank you, Dr. Grande!

@tb-dv1zc
@tb-dv1zc 2 года назад
I totally agree I was a juror once. A young man was facing 15+ years. The prosecution did such a terrible job, I could not believe the man was guilty BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT. The jury initially voted guilty. A couple of us made our observations. The jury returned not guilty. The judge met with us after, and completely agreed. It was a pretty cool experience, imo
@Mckinley-mick
@Mckinley-mick 2 года назад
It can be very frustrating and sad at times, but that is how our justice system is set up- and it does work! People get upset about criminals getting away because of a poor prosecution team- but I think that should instead highlight the other mechanisms within that need to be worked on rather than the process itself. Hopefully that makes sense? Lol we can’t base the law on feeling or opinions, that’s why there is the law and court system, even if it is very flawed.

Evidence of abuse by him was extensive. She tried for divorce and he stopped it. They separated (hence the dating app) but he moved back in unilaterally and resumed roughing her up. He had been raging at her since the previous day after spotting the app. He attacked her violently and the stab apparently seemed minor to both of them. She was locked in the bathroom for a long time while she could hear him walking around and shouting at her. After the noise stopped she waited longer, and came out to find him dead. Shock & panic accounts for her later actions.

@@PutinsMommyNeverHuggedHim She was 21, at the oldest, when they got married. If you’ve read more about it, you’ll know that it was still manipulative behavior on her stepdad-turned-husband’s part. Very much so! She was asked to move right back in after her mother died… I think she was 19… to help with the kids. She was totally groomed from then on, maybe even prior to this. @NagoyaHouseHead
@NagoyaHouseHead 2 года назад
@@elinorlee1539 Thinking that her odd behavior after the face makes her guilty is deeply flawed thinking, and also not logical. She would have been under an extreme amount of stress and shock, and people respond to stress and shock in different and unusual ways. You say we weren't in the room. But her story lines up with the evidence that was found. One stab only strongly suggests a defensive action and not a conscious murder. He was physically and emotionally abusing her regularly. Finally HE snapped and she defended herself. This was an excellent verdict.

There you go! Dr. Grande! You've got a slogan for relationship safety, to put on mugs, T-shirts, merchandise. "There is NO safe level of stabbing in relationships!" Those would certainly be an eye-catchers and conversation starters, right? Another fine analysis. I don't think I would have expected to have heard of so many relationship role, "breaking"? or Violating among crime accounts. I think this is the 3rd of 4th story in last 12 months, analyzed by you, which includes the father figure involved with a daughter, step-daughter, adopted daughter. I'm betting that might have contributed some tiny part of the failures in the relations that resulted with homicide(s).

She was 20 years old when David married her mother who suffered from cancer. Danielle didn't live with them. After the mother's death David asked Danielle to move into the house so they could both raise her younger siblings who were still underaged. Danielle's family seem to have some financial struggles and I think David just married her mother knowing she wouldn't be alive for a long time and it was easier to target the daughter.

Many of us have browsers that go straight to the last page. Settings can be such that log in is automatic. As brief as this (log in) was, it would appear that this is what happened.

"The Metaphysics of Desire: Redlicked": This case presents a number of interesting facts for the purposes of speculation. First the model, then the application. What is desire? There is no murder without desire, just as there is no life without water or air. Desire is never original. This is clear in this case because Michael's interest was in Danielle's mother, Kathleen Aquino and only later in Danielle. That's right, Danielle was married to her stepfather. This reveals the dynamic nature of desire within a circle of bound individuals lacking freedom of movement. Everything comes together for the purposes of application by connecting the dots: Kathleen Aquino's breast cancer; Michael desires the younger woman; Danielle resorts to a dating app while Michael's sliced up body befouled the home they occupied. The model works perfectly: First, fascination with another; then rivalry; then conflict; then hate; then murder or suicide or both. What fascination? It must have occurred to Michael that once Danielle's mother died he would be able to enjoy the sour fruit of the daughter. The rivalry pits all of them against one another. Mother and daughter split over Michael; Michael split over mother and daughter. We see this also when a deceased family member offers from the grave his or her spouse to a brother or sister. Finally madness and murder/suicide. Everyone chill out please. Desire leads to nothing. 🙃
