Wife of man burned in serious accident gets surprise from a Secret Santa

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season.
Kim has been a rock for many people, especially her family this year.
In February, her husband Travis was involved in a horrible accident while driving a truck in the oil fields. A fire started and spread to his semi, which resulted in Travis being engulfed in flames. He was the only person there and was able to call 911.
Kim flew out and spent weeks with him at a hospital burn unit leaving her three kids home with family members. Travis has had countless surgeries and many skin grafts.
Since Travis has been released, Kim drives him from St. Anthony to Idaho Falls several times a week for therapy and doctor visits. Therapy could last another two years.
Kim always has a positive attitude and looks to the bright side of life.
Secret Santa asked if we could surprise Kim and Travis with a Christmas gift. Check out the video in the player above!

Wow…can’t even imagine the pain he must have endured. She knew exactly what was going to happen when she saw Nate! She is a strong woman to be there for not only her husband but trying to raise 3 children. These financial gifts are sure to help ease a bit of the stress they must be going through. I am so thankful that he survived that horrific accident but no doubt he still has a long recovery ahead of him. WOW, called 911 after he had been burned so badly. That is one tough man who wanted to fight and live. May God continue to heal his body and support his wife through this journey! I don't know what it is to be burned but I do know the battle to live. I can say the road is long and at times hard. But one day sooner than anyone thinks there is a beautiful light at the end of that road. It's what I call a new normal where things like birds, singing, children laughing, people spending time together all are things you really needed to listen to and watch all along. You see better in this world and know you didn't go through your battle alone you had family, friends and strangers but you also had God. He never left he's been there all along. SS, thank you for the blessings again this season. I think we all needed to see more good in this world and you allowed us those much needed smiles, laughs and seeing love. God bless.

A friend of the family was badly burned 45 years ago as a fire fighter. He was able to continue after time and now hes retired and loving life. Medicine has gotten better so i hope he recovers the best he can.
