Thank goodness these vids stay on YT for years! I NEVER thought I would have to wear a wig. I knew absolutely nothing and didn’t know where to turn. There’s so much to learn and your channel is a godsend. You are lovely in every way! You have a way of explaining that is thoughtful and thorough. Nisha, thank you for taking the fear away!!

Nisha, I just can't get over how natural that particular wig is on you. No one would ever think it wasn't your hair, I guess because the color is exquisite and the style is so cute too, plus the roots make it look just like real hair and makes the wig coordinate well with eyemakeup. Just lovely on you hon! 😘

Yes, 2 tips from Taz's Wig Closet Use dry shampoo to keep heat friendly from getting string. Buy a shiny one? I bought a reg synthetic that was so shiny it looked like doll hair. Taz's wig closet tip 2. Soak in baking soda, condition it, after fully dry finish with a little dry shampoo. BOOM! It's perfect.

I just received my first wig from the Rachel Welch line and omg is it gorgeous. I have dark brown hair and was a bit unsure about the color I chose. I ordered the dark chocolate brown and it is absolutely gorgeous. I have long hair so it's a bit challenging to put the wig on. I ordered this wig because I have severe problems with my spine and it makes it hard to lift my arms up long enough to style my own hair. I usually wear it up in a tie and at 55 its not cute. I'm sure once I learn how to put the wig on fairly quickly this will be the answer to my prayers. I can finally feel good about how I look again. Thank you Nisha...I really appreciate you and the work you put into your channel.

A huge THANK YOU, Nisha for sharing your views, great tips and experience! They do take the scary bit out of buying and wearing wigs. One burning question still: How do these wigs perform outdoors, i.e. when you are in the hot sun, does the UV light affect colour and sheen? What about when you get rained on, do they look like naturally wet hair? And can you wear them on the beach & swimming in the sea / swimming pool or does the salt / chlorinated water damage the fibres?

Hey again Nisha! Another gorgeous cool light blonde is by Envy called 'light blonde' Their medium blonde is warm but the Light Blonde is cool. So gorgeous. Wigs.com describes the color this way and I totally concur LIGHT BLONDE | 2 toned blend of Creamy Blonde with Champagne highlights- Vogue.com wigs says this: 2 tone color combination with neutral platinum and creamy blonde tones blended to perfection. xoxo

I do like permatease, because I like big hair, I find that thinning the wig out a bit helps with that wiggy look on wigs with permatease , you have that lovely heart shaped face that you don't really need the hight from your wigs, but for me with my round peanut head lol I need all the permatease I can get lol xoxoNisha

Nisha, I just found your wig videos and I really want to thank you. I'm going to watch all of them as soon as I get time. This video was so, so helpful. My hair has gotten so thin in the past few years and I think wigs will be my solution. I do have one now but it is so shiny and it's really obvious that it's a wig so I don't want to wear it. Anyway, thank you so much for the video and all the best to you ...xx, Sue

Loved your advice about full monofilament and lace front cap. Also, your recommendation to get your first wig in a style that you usually have your bio hair in or a style that you've worn in the past was brilliant. I can imagine me buying a flouncy style and throwing it off after one wear thinking it's not natural and what am I doing wearing a wig(even if it looked beautiful). I'll take that bit of info on my shopping trip. Thank you so much. My newly shedding hair is making me so sad. k

Nisha, that was an excellent video! 😊 I've been wearing wigs for 10 years and you are already a pro! I do have a question, though. I am very curious as to what made you start wearing wigs. I have androgenetic alopecia (female pattern baldness 😝). Oh, and I want to tell you how you can extend the life of your hd and regular synthetic wigs using very low heat on your flat iron (I will heat up my flat iron then turn it off. When I can touch the plate then I know the flat iron is ready.) Taking a very, very small section of fiber, I lightly comb through. Then I spray with leave in wig conditioner and quickly pass the flat iron over the fiber. It takes trial and error, but you will learn how hot you can get the flat iron and how quickly or slowly to pass the iron over the fiber. If done correctly (and really it is very easy to do it correctly 😊) you will preserve the style of the wig. Also, by working in very tiny sections, if you should accidentally burn the fiber, you can just snip that off and it will not be noticeable. I know this from experience as having burned some fiber. 😉

Thank you so much for this tip. I don't really know how I got in to wigs, I have always hated my hair , it is very fine and lacks body, it takes a lot of styling to get it to look good. I think that one day I came across Taz's channel and couldn't believe how good wigs are these days, so I bought one wig and I was hooked lol, I can have hair now that I could only dream of although I don't know how I would cope with wearing wigs in the summer when is hot xoxoNisha
@tennymusgravebrown8797
@tennymusgravebrown8797 7 лет назад
Wearing a wig is like wearing a bra. 🤷🏻‍♀️ You just get used to it. And you learn to find shade and air conditioning. I'm 48, premenopausal and need to lose about 10-15 pounds. I'm hot anyway. Lol My bio hair is bad news so I keep mine buzzed. Your bio hair is still very passable. You have enough that kept at the length it is, you can easily alternate between wigs and your bio hair if the day is so hot and you don't want to mess with wigs. Or you can wear a ball cap instead. I bet you are cute in a ball cap!

This series on wigs has been eye opening. I never thought much about wigs until seeing your videos. I purchased May by Noriko in Chocolate Frost as a start just to see if I would be comfortable wearing one and didn't want to spend much until I knew for sure. SugarPuffAndFluff I went with May because I was attracted to bobs and my hair is much longer and I usually wear it pulled back in a bun, so I wanted to try out a bob on me. I'm also loving the highlights on this wig, something different for me but the main color is very close to my own hair. I'm still not secure with wearing it out and look forward to your next video. Thanks again Nisha! 👩🏻

+Jane Vt I just use bobby pins to make them stay. I like wearing a wig cap with the little vents. The wig caps that are smooth, I find make my wig move a little. I am currently wearing Jameson by Esthetica and I find that it fits my head perfectly and don't need to use bobby pins at all. I know some people use the Got2be hair gel/glue, but I haven't found that I need. Just my two cents.

I'm looking for a wig(s) to help me transition and stretch out my expensive visits to the hair salon. Your wigs look so natural that one wouldn't know it wasn't your real hair. Thank you for the great information. I'm eager to see how you put on the wig, what you do with your natural hair and how you style your wig. BY THE WAY- since you've been wearing wigs have you noticed any change in your real hair? Any damage, thinness, etc?

I soak mine in fabric softener for twenty minutes and shake it out hang it upside down and it keeps it's shape and softness

I love your wigs! So pretty on you. I have dark hair so I don't know how they would look. I wonder if they have reverse rooted wigs where the highlights or roots are lighter. Thank you for all the info!❤️❤️❤️

Hi Nisha, I don't wear a wig but I do watch a u-tube channel by a gal whose name is Monique Parent. She talks about how to wear wigs and even had a guy on her channel who is a wig expert. They talked about pulling a few strands of the hair out to blend with the wig. Monique said that people look at the hairline to see if it is a wig so if you blend in some of your own hair you won't be able to tell you are wearing a wig.. Monique has a few very cheap wigs she wears as she is an actress but by using that technique it does really make a difference.. Anyway you might check out her channel. Monique Parent, she has a fun channel even if you don't like her technique.. I really enjoy your channel.. Lori K.😄 🌷 🌸 🌷 🌸

Hi Nisha really enjoyed the info you put out on what you have learnt about wigs so far. . I received my RW editors pick yesterday, when I put it on it felt so puffy and so much hair to contend with. Could you please in your next wig video let me know how I can flatten it a bit and also do you use anything to keep it in place on your head so it doesn't come off. Thank you for your honest opinions.

There will be another video on Sunday about that. I don't think the RW wig has that much hair comparing to other wigs, it will feel like this to you at first, because you are not used to having so much hair, I just flatten it with my hands, I like big hair so it is not bothering me xoxoNisha

HI NISHA💐💐💐🙋🙋🙋. I just wanted to thank you because you did give me the correct name of the paint color. It is beautiful. I love my home to be in the earth tones such as creams, taupe, grey but a warm grey! Thank you for providing me with this very useful information. It is just gorgeous. Did you pick it out yourself or do you have an interior designer who does that for you? I'm going to buy a sample of it and I will let you know how it all turns out. I guess I better get my ladder out. In all honesty I actually do enjoy painting but I have to be in the mood for it. There are days Nisha that I would not want to put a paintbrush in my hands. I like to be very calm when I'm painting. Thank you so very much for all of your help!! Hugs, Susan. from Canada.🌷🌷🌷

Nisha, have you heard of Manuka skin care? I know this is a wig video but I saw this skincare on instagram and it has honey and bee venom in it!! Ever tried it? Love the video and you look fabulous in your wig.💝

I love this tutorial. I have fine hair, especially now going through menopause, so I just searched for wigs, and found this. I also LOVE this lipstick - what is it?

You can use real hair extensions snapped into bottom of wigs cut to the length that you want and they will rub against your clothing saving your wig.

Thank you.
