I remember when I first played this track when I was a small child and now playing again makes me smile, this was the best send off to both games I grew up with. MK Wii (early childhood) and MK 8 &DX ( later childhood) I can’t believe it’s been almost 8 years for me. Goodbye Mariokart 8 let’s make more wonderful memories together.
Wii Rainbow Road it's just something else, something really special. Moreover from nostalgia, it's just a course that has a bittersweet memory for me. Being from it's huge difficulty at first due to constant fall offs but also from the great feeling of being able to listen to this theme that keeps me coming back regardless which helped me master it. It just sounds so magical. Thank you so much for this mashup! :D
I can't believe I'm about to say this, but this game's version of Wii Rainbow Road is better than even 3ds Rainbow Road that's also in this game. Even though 3ds Rainbow Road is my favorite track of all time, I gotta have to give credit to Wii Rainbow Road for having beautiful graphics in this version and music that perfectly fits as a finale course in the BCP and the entirety of MK8DX.
My only complaint with the remake is that the remake isnt as difficult as the original but thats mostly due to mk8d's physics are more refined compared to wii other than that they absolutely nailed this track! This has to be one of the best looking tracks not only in the bcp but in the entirs game, heck they even added the fall animation!
wii rr feels so much more fun gameplay wise. the constant ramps, speed boosts, turns, half pipes, and the cannon make for a dynamic track. 3DS rr feels much more grand but I prefer this version
I crowned 3DS Rainbow Road to be the best out of all of them. But they done so well on this version of Wii Rainbow Road that I tear up from the nostalgia. I would say in my opinion this is the best track in the BCP
