It will age horribly, just like Twilight Princess. These gritty, realistic games aren't good in the long run as they are far outdone by future games while Wind Waker's HD treatment was basically better lighting.

Gamer Of Shadows I still think that Twilight Princess looks pretty good, even if the textures have aged. Anyway, I think there is room for different art styles in Zelda. Not every game needs to be cartoony and cell shaded like The Wind Waker. I would really love the next Zelda game to have the more realistic aesthetic of Twilight Princess.

They wouldn't make something amazing like this because making something like BOTW is way easier and the people gobble mediocracy right up when it comes to Nintendo. Something like the Zelda of this demo would require effort.

+Rohan Marathe No, it's not pre-rendered, it's actually being run on the Console in 1080p 60fps *ONLY BECAUSE* it's of this short demo. If this was made into a full game, they couldn't do this because of the limitations of the hardware and the frames will just drop after certain levels. The reason why Twilight Princess HD doesn't look like this is because it will be "too expensive" for Nintendo to make a Zelda game like this....the amount of detail on this Demo is unbelievable and for the Wii U to generate all of that is insane! And the second reason is pretty much like the first, Nintendo would've either have to *"dumb down"* the graphics or the resolution, and making an HD port is much easier than remaking the entire game, so....

+ZeldaTheoristb211 I see. Guess we'll have to wait for next gen to get something like this. I'm just sad that Zelda U looks sooo much better than TPHD, and while of course the art style is completely different, I feel like they could have done much more justice to make the models look nicer.

Rohan Marathe Well Twilight Princess HD is a port for the Wii U, they literally just took the Wii/Gamecube Version and ported to the Console. What they did actually is exactly what a *Dolphin Emulator* does, in which the emulator plays the game higher than it's "Native Resolution", each of the scenes are rendered higher than 480p. So with Twilight Princess HD, they simply recreated the ISO of the game to 1080p 60fps, and just redistributed to the public on a different Console this time......not worth it if you ask me?

Nintendo Lover They can, but that would require too much time and money! They're using that time and money for Zelda Wii U, not Twilight Princess HD. The reason why Wind Waker HD was redone/remastered (btw Wind Waker HD is not a port, *it's literally a different game from the Gamecube version in terms of appearance*) was because Nintendo wanted to show off their Console capabilities with Zelda, and Wind Waker was the easiest because the game is basically cell-shaded! If you look at games like Woolly World and Nintendoland's "Zelda Battle-Quest", they use a *VERY* similar artstyle, this is because the Wii U can easily generate that type of graphics. Hence Wind Waker HD being remade "properly" rather than being ported like Twilight Princess is.

This looks better than anything shown on almost any console.

There’s a difference between a remake and remaster. The remake is a game remade entirely. A remaster is a port with some improvements.

You're pretty stupid if you actually though TP HD would look like this. Don't get me wrong, this is beautiful and it would be AMAZING if TP HD did look like this but your expectations are ridiculous.

@@ragnarok9658 a video is not rendered in real time. That‘s why you can watch videos and movies on any device which is capable of running the file format. No beefy specs needed. A scene rendered in real time needs the necessary resources to be output on your device. For example, The Last of Us on PlayStation 3 plays a video when you see a cutscene in the game. The video you will see will always be the same, no matter what. But in the PS5 version the cutscenes are rendered in real time, so the results can differ. There can be lags, graphical glitches or slowdowns. The result is not always the same. They included the day and night cycle as well as the free camera in this Zelda demo so that it van be proved that it is not merely a mp4 file playing. Basically it‘s like comparing a movie to a stage performance. Did you understand the difference?

This is like a room with one big enemy in it and nothing else It's also a tech demo that doesn't need to account for player controls, hitboxes, or anything at all happening beside scripted animations playing In short, it's a glorified cutscene. Of course it's gonna run well.

Brian Jong It does look really good too, not sure which I'd say looks better, so I'll say monolith's new game as I don't want to get my hopes up too high for Zelda. But then again, this is just a tech demo. The actual Wii U Zelda could look even better.

People being disapointed about a tech demo is ridiculous, it's not a game trailer.

Nintendo isn't the only one who does this....EVERY developer does this. Unreal Engine shows off it's new engines and people go WOW!!!! And nothing ever comes from it. PS4 and PS5 tech demo's and Xbox ones all do this.

Aiden Baronian u know BotW is Impressionism while WW is cartoon, and SS is oil painting style right? I hate so many so called "gamers" or "fans" that can't even define the difference the BASIC common sense of artistic approach and call them "cartoonish" jesus. I think the next Zelda will be another new art style. I think it can go to a darker tune such as towards to an abstract or Avant-garde style... if Nintendo is brave enough...

I guess that makes sense as the times they've done a rapid second installment have been when an engine was completed (I think Majoras Mask was one such example), so they wouldn't have built the BoTW engine to only use it for one game. But I do hope they revisit an aesthetic like this demo eventually.
