I was going all over the place trying to figure out if this was just a controller or a console. I don't think it was until a few months after E3 that Nintendo finally showed the danged system, thus confirming it as a console.

Big games, like Skyrim, in a nice comfy tablet. That alone is causing a lot of Xbone and PS4 users making a switch. The custom made Nvidia Tegra allows it to keep up with this generation, and it's ability to take it on the go also changes the handhelds. This console is a gamechanger.

Do you really need to show that cute parrot video to your relatives? Do you really want to play that black-white puck thingy on it? Do you really want to browse the internet on it? Do you really want to make video calls with it when you have skype, discord, mumble and whatnot, you know, the applications you can use WHILE playing? The answer to all of this is no.

Okay I managed to read every single one of these comments, this is going nowhere. When a person leaves the argument another takes their place, just as angry as the last these wii u fanboys are seriously annoying, it is a flawed system. I don't want to see it fail but it IS failing, which system is better is subjective. Now there were also people arguing mute points against the wii u, it being childish or every game being a remake Being the main 2. For the childish argument, the wii u is trying to be a family system, something that sits in the living room, that's why because they want younger people to be able to play on it. About everything being a remake, this is pretty much true and is one of the faults (a big one) but they do kept things fresh (for the most part.) Also about people insulting Destiny, the recent dlc have been MAJOR improvements and have really shown the potential of the game. I want wii u to succeed, but I don't think it will. Side note: saying xbone just makes you look more like a fanboy also stop labeling everyone with an (even if strong and hostile) opinion as a troll

I think Nintendo assumed that because the Wii U has off tv ability, people would see it as a new console because the original wii couldn't do that. But saying "new controller" and not even mentioning "new console" is very idotic. Instead they should have referred to it as "the gamepad controller for the new console". Now THAT would worked perfectly.

They didn't even show the "new console". And all the games shown (except for the Zelda one) looked like they were Wii games. There was no way of asuming it was a new console, neither from the messages on screen or the game's footage. So sad :(
