The original line was "she spoke Italian which is something I cant do" bc he moved to Italy for a girl he liked then later got a job as a server and lied that he spoke Italian to get the job bc he loved in Italy for several months
I hate to be that nerdy kid who points things out but technically this, Are you Alright, and Maybe I was boring are all EP's a few songs short of an album
well originally the lyric was "she spoke italian and thats something that i cant do" because it was about his ex but he changed it for whatever reason, i assume it was probably a personal change
Did you learn screen saver. If you don’t know what it is it’s a scrapped song h the ay was supposed to be in ycgma. He was almost canceled for it for referencing hitler in it
same and now im just trying to find someting to cry because apparently i lost my friends because of a toxic old friend bitch that already stole and manipulated 2 of my friends i knew for 12 and 8 years
am i the only one who feels like your new boyfriend is actually continuation of losing face? i know that wilbur uses different characters for 'wilbur' and 'wilbur soot' but...
I feel like losing is actually a continuation of your new boyfriend because here he talks about the girl getting married. Like you said, none is of this is really possible as Wilbur is playing a different character in your new boyfriend but it’s fun to imagine :)
I dont think the songs have much in common, apart from the fact they talk about former girlfriends. Wilbur is much more reflektive and thoughtfull here, while your new boyfriend is much more about the ironious aspects and a character nobody wants to identify with
Im currently learing this one on guitar and it has become my favorites in the album, because of some things I found out that I think makes it stand out from the rest of the songs (which are really cool too!) 1.- Its the only track on the album featuring more than one guitar 2.- Its the only song to feature more strumming than riffs or arppegigios (hope I spelled that right) 3..- Its the only song to feature 3 chord progresions, the intro, the chorus, and the bridge Thats it for my little rant, hope I made myself clear cuz I sometimes suck at expressing myself Xd
I think theres 4 chord progressions actually intro is Em G C G D verse is Em G Am C D chorus is C Cmaj7 Am Em D bridge is C C on third fret Fmaj7 Fmaj7 on third fret
the fact that wilbur genuinely wrote the first couple verses while drunk is amazing. The sheer, raw emotion he put into this song while still being so poetic is incredible.
I've fallen in love with my straight best friend of 3 years and our "friendship" is the only thing stopping both of us from commiting unalive (iykyk). The lyrics "if you didn't go and fall in love and ruin everything" really hit hard for me. I tell myself that whenever we hang out because I can never stop thinking of it. If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it
so pretty much this song (judging from genius page) is about when he got dumped by his first girlfriend . People believe this because when he said "Tonight I'm fucking drunk" it could be a reference to when He tweeted this out “My Twitch/RU-vid profile picture is an edited photo of me, 8 hours after being dumped by my first girlfriend, drinking at a Halloween party. I felt like it summed me up” the album itself is about where he lived at the time. He was also actually drunk writing this. losing face means "Losing face means to suffer a loss of respect or to be humiliated. It almost adds a new meaning to the song as well, as many people feel this way after their partner cheats on them." according to the genius page.
As far as I know, a lot of it is published in all platforms in the album Your City Gave Me Asthma, the artist name is just "Wilbur" I'm not sure if he has plans to officially publish other known songs, but there are at least uploads of them in other channels.
This song does something to all of us that's so undefinable and unique. Wilbur Soot has such a way of words and how he makes his music, its phenomenal.
This song is like hiding from the world, ashamed, angry, wanting to change your name, identity and leave everything behind. And you're still desperate in your room, listening to the thunder, beating up your trashcan and walls because you feel so stupid and useless.
This is actually the best thing to play on guitar, trust me. But remembe to do the right strumming pattern (Down up down down up down down repeat-(down down up up down up on chorus and bridge)) SO FREAKING FUN
light rain, walk through the park while remembering all the great times with them, sit on a bench and think about your life and where its going while listening to this amazing song wilbur gave to us.
Guys I need help! I love these sort of songs he make (especially this and your new boyfriend), I need help finding artists with the same sort of beats and feelings! Any suggestions?
Eliza McLamb is really good, The Ramblings of a Lunatic by Bears in Trees, Cold in California by Ashe, Letter from Last Summer by Charlie Burg. And if you’re up for a much rawer sound but similar feelings, the Front Bottoms, Penelope Scott, and Flannel by The Cardboard Swords are some of my favorites. I have a playlist if you’d like it 😁
I feel this everytime when I think that my girlfriend is so much better than me, better than anyone else, I want her to find someone better, but I want to keep her all to myself...
this song is actually sadly relatable, my ex said to me at school they would be right back and a few hours later i saw them with a new guy, i said, 'hey im his bf nice to meet ya ^^' he then said to me face 'not anymore', then i ran away crying, then i had thoughts i was a horrible bf :(
When i hear this i think of my old bsf that i fell in love with and now suddenly hates me and never wants ro talk ro me ever again they literally destroyed my mental health
