I love how people point to Josh's turnovers in the regular season, but get quiet real fast when it comes to the post season, you know, the thing that really matters. Sure, he hasn't won the big one like Mahomes, but he's absolutely exceptional in the playoffs and unfortunately, his defense has let him down time and time again.
Over rated doesn’t mean he is not good, it means that how people view him and his actual production are not the same. A lot of people have had this guy on Mahomes level and he is not even close, that is why he is viewed as over rated, if people rated him properly we wouldn’t need to have this discussion
@@nad1148 football is a team game, Josh Allen has been backed by a defense that has been among the tops in the league in fewest points given up during his career, he has had some roller coaster games vs the chiefs, some really good ones and pretty bad ones. Mahomes on the other hand has been lights out all 3 playoff games vs the bills. Allen has put up two stinkers out of 3 games that is why they are not even close.
@@milesgrant3507Kimberly said she understands stands the criticism of Josh early in his career bc of all the interceptions and then said and I quote “he changed completely as a player” as he has been too 3 in interceptions every year 😂😂
@juststop022… it’s hilarious because who would know better then the actual players who actually play against 😂 him rather than a bunch of people sitting around a desk talking about him … and it’s ironic because the media is the reason he’s overrated
The reason people think he is overrated is the way media and fans talk about him. They talk about him like he has all these accolades and achievements but he doesn’t. He doesn’t have the solo awards like an mvp and he hasn’t even made a Super Bowl. It’s crazy how we make so many excuses for him but when other qbs lose it’s they didn’t do enough it’s time for Allen to get the blame he deserves
Has Lamar made the Superbowl? Allen consistently makes the playoffs. He is at least top ten QB. With a coach that doesn't run the ball enough. I think he is perfectly rated. Let's be real many teams couldn't make it past Chiefs to get to the Superbowl. There is a shortage of even decent QBs. If you were a Bills fan you wouldn't want him to leave. And hus pay is equal to his QB ranking
@@tom4150 no he hasn’t but he does have 2 MVPs. Thats the problem Josh Allen for as great as everyone says he is has nothing to show for it. Thats why it’s annoying to hear it’s the bills year it’s this it’s that Josh Allen will be MVP. Based off what he hasn’t done anything to win an individual award or a championship so until he can do either of those he is overrated
As a Chiefs fan Herbert is a beast, he has supreme talent he has just been surrounded by horrible coaching and his teammates getting decimated with injuries every year.
@@jbmlkHerbert has rookie TD record 36 total (31 pass5 rush) I’m only 15 games and most TDs and yards through 2 seasons in NFL history. Herbert is supremely talented. Of course you’re too casual to know that and Chargers defense ranked bottom of the league every year since he was drafted.
@@nopeteys2424Herbert kind of reminds me of his current coach, Harbaugh. Full of talent, can play with the best of them, but just lacks a winning intangible that prevents him from greatness. He's still very good though
Josh leads the league in turnovers since he been in the league! Loss multiple playoff home games he not most over rated that’s Justin Herbert! At least Josh gets there and fights!
They both suck!! If only these Black commentators had some ba**s, they'd dog Josh, herbert, cousins, etc the way they do the black QBs. They get passes, their feet never held to the fire like the other QBs.
They are so hung up on thinking that overrated is the same as calling him bad. No one saying he is bad but he lost to the Jets without Aaron Rodgers he lost to the Pats and he was the reason. But there are people who want to put him on Mahomes level and he is not.
To be fair, if the offense performs well and the quarterback had a lot of yards, then it shouldn’t matter whether the QB or the running back scores the touchdowns. If the coach passes all the way inside the 5 yard line then decides to run it in instead of pass it in, that shouldn’t get pinned on Lamar
I don't get how people think Josh, Herbert, Lamar, Hurts, and Tua as overrated QBs. Everyone but Herbert has elevated the level of play of the teams they play for to where they are truly competing for titles or at least has those aspirations. And in Justin's case, he has had some of the WORST coaching possible, since it wasn't his fault that they lost the majority of the games the Bolts have lost. If anything, Aaron Rodgers, Dak, and Watson are all overrated.
The problem with Hurts is he declined and people don't know how much it was from injury. I agree though Herbert is overrated. Rodgers and Dak are old and overrated. Dak can't scrabble like he use to. Rodgers is a statue lol
In the playoffs in 9 games Josh Allen has 26 tds accounted for and only 5 turnovers total....Who cares about regular season turnovers he gets to the playoffs every year
I’ve seen Burrow get praised for beating Mahomes and not even finishing the job. Then we got people praising Allen because he ALMOST beat him in 13 seconds? Mahomes really may be the goat not even 30 yet.
If mahomes doesn't win a coin toss and separately bills kicker doesn't miss a 40 yd fg then mahomes is 0-5 against allen in their last 5 head to head games. As it is, allen in 3-2 against him in the last 5. Mahomes got luckiest when it meant the most is all.
@@nabeezys1758 you know Butker missed a fg in the 13 seconds game right? Buffalo also had the top ranked defense that year too but hey more excuses right
He is a 2 time mvp. Plus people aren’t saying he is better than Mahomes but they are saying he is the second best quarterback. Considering the accolades he won and the fact that he made the championship game, he isn’t overrated. Besides Mahomes, Lamar is the only elite relevant quarterback with solid accolades
K. Martin, is such a clown 🤡 She’ll bash Cam Newton, former MVP, SB appearance but defend Josh Allen at all costs. He’s a GOOD player but he turns the ball over A LOT & hasn’t won sh*t
@@bennetharris972True, Close only accounts for horse shoes + hand grenades, but It is an accomplishment when you are honored as a league MVP. Not saying Cam was perfect either, just sick of the world acting like Josh Allen has won or made a SB appearance as if he is leagues better than guys like Cam Newton & a Lamar Jackson. The media always seems to give him a pass or doesn’t hold him to the same standard. Had his best chance to win last season in the Playoffs & his turnover ratio is crazy. Like a Luka Donic, GREAT player(s) but it doesn’t matter how much u score if or when u don’t play defense & turn the ball right back over
Josh Allen relies way too much on talent alone to win games and it gets him in trouble. He is not overrated as a talent at the position. I think he is widely overrated as a actual Quarterback.
How is he overrated as a quarterback? Aside from mahomes, who has performed better than allen as a qb? Allen is 5 times better than Lamar in the postseason and burrow is hurt every other year anyway. Idk how the 2nd best qb can be considered overrated unless he is listed 1st which nobody does.
@@directorbeauso they're black. Their dad's are black. You see them as black. If they claimed they were white, you'd laugh and surely call them everyone but white so it really doesn't matter.
Because he constantly makes the playoffs with a dumb coach who doesn't run the ball enough. There is a lack of good QBs. If you are a Bills fan you definitely don't want him to leave
She said he completely changed his game from all the interceptions that he used to throw when he first started? Then why did he lead the league in interceptions last year?
He leads the league in ints. He also has wayyy more tds by far than anyone else. I think in the last 6 years mahomes is 2nd to allen in total tds with 32 less!!!
Ask the chiefs if he is overrated. He's beat the chiefs 3 times and those sorry playoffs lose was mostly defensive performance..22 tds 4 interceptions is not overrated
Overrated doesn't mean he's not talented and doesn't do good things. He just doesn't win. He wins in the regular season but he can't get it done in the big moments in the playoffs. He has never won a mvp, been to a suberbowl or won any award. Until he gets it done in the playoffs he is not a top 3 QB. Didn't even mention his turnovers.
Overrated doesn’t mean “not good”. But it does mean other players don’t think he’s as good as the media seems to think he is. I like Lou Riddick’s assessments, but that description is literally every QB in the NFL. Every starting QB at this moment have potential to beat you immediately in the course of the game with 1 play.
Josh Allen is like the 13th Highest Paid QB yet accounts for more TD Production than any other QB over the past 4 years....How is he overrated again? If anything the guys producing less and paid more are overrated.
Top 5 QB in AFC easily. With Allen the Bills constantly make the playoffs. They were sorry without him. There is a lack of even decent QBs in the league. I think he is perfectly rated. He is paid equal to his QB ranking. Burrow could be better but already got injured and was basically worthless all last season lol.
Josh Allen is underrated. Josh Allen is the best QB in the league. The only reason why he hasn't won a Superbowl is because Mahomes has arguably the best HC to ever play and the Chiefs defense doesn't choke in big moments. I would take Josh Allen over anyone in the league, including Mahomes.
Lamar Jackson has the hardware to prove it and he doesn’t nearly get as much credit for losing as Josh Allen. Every time Josh loses it’s everyone else fault.
MVP the popularity award lol. All those points ravens put up last year and yet still basically did nothing against the Chiefs lol. I remember Rodgers winning the MVP award when he wasn't the best QB that season and the numbers proved it.
2MVPs, 2 All Pro team selections, 3 Pro bowls say different. Did i mention that the highest Josh has gone in the playoffs is the AFC championship game, guess what, so did LAMAR JACKSON. If the retired today there is no doubt that Lamar has a better case for the Hall of Fame than Josh who hasn't won anything.
@@Billsmafia4Life1417 both have reached the AFC championship game so its about even. If you take out the wild card round (play in tournament) wins, which Lamar doesn't play in because he is so Good, you'll see that Josh Allen actually has an abysmal record. It would take Josh Allen at least 2 seasons to amass the accolades of one Lamar Jackson (2MVPs and two more All Pro Team selections take at least two years to get lol).
I definitely believe that Allen is overrated. You can accuse me of being a Ravens diehard all you want Buffalo but here is why I believe this. Last year, his turnover habits cost OC Ken Dorsey his job (Although to be fair, Dorsey wasn't very creative. HAVE FUN WITH THAT DONKEY CLEVELAND!) and there were a bunch of games where the Bills lost because he made too many mistakes (The Jets and Broncos games are prime examples) The only reason why the Bills made the playoffs last year was because Joe Brady emphasized the running game. If James Cook didn't emerge as their bell cow RB, they miss the playoffs and McDermott gets axed. How do I know this. Weeks 16-18. The Bills won those games in spite of Josh Allen. They better thank the gods that they were playing the Chargers and Patriots on 3rd string QBs, and a Dolphins team that was playing a 2nd string defense. And in that Miami game, they made it to or near the red zone seven times and only scored twice. I would stop there but it keeps going. "OH BUT HE'S ONE OF THE BEST QBS OF ALL TIME IN THE PLAYOFFS!" Thats because he beat up on scrub wild card teams that for the most part didn't belong in the playoffs and were playing backup QBs for the most part. (Lamar has never played playoff opponents that were that overmatched on paper) Allen has never beaten a division winner in the playoffs, and his most significant victory in the playoffs was against the Ravens but even then, he wasn't the main reason they won. Thats because their defense contained Jackson until he got injured, destroyed the Ravens O-Line, and Justin Tucker had the worst game of his career. Other than the 13 seconds game, Allen has been up and down at best past the Wild Card Round. Last year against the Chiefs proves my point. Why? Because he was 1-11 on pass attempts past ten yards in that game. All he could do was run QB Draws and throw checkdowns because Kansas City shut down their passing attack, and then their running attack in the 2nd Half. Yes I know that Lamar is also a deer in the headlights in the playoffs, but I will say this. THE ONLY QB THAT SHOULDN'T BE CRITICIZED BY THE MEDIA IS PATRICK MAHOMES! They need to give Burrow, Herbert, Stroud, and many others the same treatment they give Lamar, Purdy, Dak, and Hurts.
That DEFENSE on the ravens was the mvp . They set lamar up on a short field because he can't throw past 20yards. 😂😂😂😂🎉. Do lil research first cook had 1 good game against the fraud a$$ Dallas cowboys. He a fumbling prone drop players that's why they drafted ray Davis as backup. Worry about lamar having to stay in the pocket 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@dorothyhunter4656 All of those laughing emojis isn't hiding the real tears bro🤣. Worry about Lamar? He has 2 MVPS while Joshy the turnover god has no accolades
When people talk about Allen’s turnovers, they always fail to mention that he’s also led the league in touchdowns, and with four consecutive 40+ touchdown seasons he’s the only player in NFL history to do so - making him the most prolific scorer in NFL history. Not a very small omission at all, but a very noticeable one. They do this because they have an agenda and that doesn’t fit the narrative. If Allen had the kind of clutch postseason defenses that Mahomes and Burrow have enjoyed during their Super Bowl runs, Allen would’ve been in the Super Bowl too. It’s well documented that Allen‘s best play is actually in the postseason. (Check out his TD:TO ratio in the postseason) The question is not whether Josh Allen is overrated. The question is, Is Josh Allen the best quarterback to have ever played the game? Simpletons will say, Of course not, he hasn’t won any Super Bowls! And I say, shut up simpleton, it’s a team sport. Dan Marino didn’t win one either, BUT TRENT DILFER DID! 👀
Josh Allen is extremely overrated by the media Josh Allyn is a beast. He’s great he’s a really really good football player. The media has you think he’s Peyton Manning and Steve Young combined.. HES NOT!
Jameis Winston threw a bunch of interceptions but also led the league in passing yards and everybody think he's trash but Josh Allen throwing interceptions and he's the greatest thing on since sliced bread
@kennethscott621 welll 30 for 30 is insane allen td to torunover is 2 to 1 example 44 tds 20 tos ect but he's asked to do everything for our offense being the run and pass game. Nice try tho buddy 👍
@ReaperFH yes just a another race obsessed commentor trying to draw some racial conclusion. Winston never won a playoff game or even made the playoffs.
The way the media talks about Allen in the same class as Mahomes without the any of the challenges or of the accomplishments makes him overrated. Allen gets credit for close losses and the NFL changed overtime rules because of they want to give him more chances to win. Winning is a skill. Mahomes has it. Allen doesn't but is on a pedestal. And the in same way as Justin Herbert, folks talk about these QB's as if their leadership of other men is not important, so losses can be attributed to anyone and everyone else. Allen will regress without Diggs, do you remember Allen before Diggs trade?....more of that is on the way.
They always talk about the defense letting up 13 secs but if he would of did more them other 3 quarters he wouldn’t have to worry bout the defense with 13 secs left
Josh Allen isn't overrated at all. I've never heard Allen being called the Goat like Mahomes, and that's who he keeps following short to. He's an Elite Qb but constantly falls short of being as good as Pat. Most ratings have Allen among the top 3 Qbs but never ahead of Mahomes. That sounds fair to me.
This is y I don't take them serious. Saying the Texans are a bigger threat than the Jets is glazing at its finest. They put so much stock in a qb when they do good one year and shun the proven veterans
65 combined TOV last 3 years 47 intos n 18 fumbles Jackson got 47, Mahomes got 49, Herbert who everyone says is overrated got 37 burrow got 33 so yes he is overrated a TOV MACHINE ACTUALLY
Josh Allen is the new manning. Great player who gets equal credit for losing because it’s a team game and you can only control your own actions. Anyone who disagrees with this, plays too much madden and hasn’t played high school/college ball
Mine is Joe Burrow. Always hurt, done about the same as his peers but gets put above them often time than not for a win 4 years ago. A playoff run at that , that was more about the bengals defense than Burrow being an elite qb. He’s good but the top 2 qb gimmick needs to stop.
No the coach is better. They brought in fresh hungry blood. The owner doesn't cater to drama queen. That's why Texans got rid of Watson and are already better for it.
Josh Allen can fix this tho. He could make a deep playoff run and atleast make it to a superbowl. If he doesnt and he retired today 75% of the media and fans would say he is still one of the best to ever play😂 how in the heck can you say he is so great but missing in action come January
Lamar is the most operated. He was a game manager last year and got an mvp. Relied on defense, running game, and special teams and put up good not great numbers . Definition of a game manager
Forget the 13 second game, I'll give him that. What about the past 2 years? Both Joe Burrow and Mahomes came to his house, HIS HOUSE, and burnt it to the ground. What's the excuse for that??
Crazy to say these three are overrated along with the runner ups. They are all better than the other half of the league. This overrated thing is very dumb. Mark Sanchez was overrated, people praised him but he never ever had an elite season.
i think the major issue is they can't keep saying allen is as great as Mahomes, he just hasnt won anything, then try to make an argument that brady is better than Mahomes because of the number of superbowls he won. either wins and awards matter or they don't. if they don't then allen is almost as good as Mahomes but Mahomes is definitely better than brady.
What gets me is how everyone always has excuses for him with his turnovers and lack to get past the post season. Dude is indeed overrated. He’s not a bad QB just overrated. People actually think he’s in the same tier as Mahommes or not far behind is laughable.
I don't think he is overrated per say. However I think players look at the way the media talks about him and the resume doesn't match the hype. Allen is excellent but he has no Super Bowl appearance, no all pro nods, no MVP's, etc.
If a guy who doesn’t have any all-pro or pro bowl selections,is a turnover machine is viewed as the 2nd best qb in the league then yes, he is in fact overrated.
People sitting on their couch on Sundays telling the players they're wrong. They play against Allen and he doesn't scare them. He's a turnover machine they probably like playing him
Why would I pay Dak big money to not win a championship. How long do we have to wait. It's been 10 years since he became the starting QB. Texans are sick and tired of the I',m sorrys!!!!
He is overrated. He's constantly being rated up there with Mahomes and Burrow, and even Hurts... those guys all have a conference championship(s) and SB wins (Mahomes)/appearances. Allen is still lliving off the 2020 AFC Championship game. Yes it was an incredible game but they lost and haven't been back. Josh Allen also hasn't played as good as he did then because he had Daboll. After Deboll left to coach the Giants Allen got worse and they haven't come anywhere CLOSE to making it back to the AFC Championship. Allen is a rollercoaster of a QB and more often than not leads the league in INTs. After last season's game against Denver where the Bills were just trash all around and they fired their OC, after that is when Allen started playing good again because the NEW OC took the ball out of his hands and they were playing safe up till the playoffs and then Diggs decided he didn't want to catch anything lol.
@@mattcarberry368 No I didn't. Hurts went to a SB and played better than Mahomes lol. Eagles were trash last season... complete gutter trash but Hurts has accomplished more while Allen is still living off his only AFC championship appearance. Dude hasn't won anything but I lost credibility for naming hurts during the time they were ACTUALLY good and he played great lol. Allen doesn't even have the opportunity to be bad in major games because they're the AFC's Cowboys. Great in the regular season mediocre in the playoffs. But I lost credibility 🤣🤣🤣🤣
