Hopefully the people who discover this place through my channel will also follow my lead by respecting and appreciating the people and nature that call these places home. 🙏
Absolutely beautiful. I've worked with dolphins and manatees so I understand the magic of swimming with them. I am happy you got to experience it. May you experience more wonderful encounters with wildlife. Thank you again for another amazing video!
So interesting and wonderful .The" breakfast pizza" looked so good. Those manatees looked so precious! The honey looked so interesting as I love it .I've read it is very medicinal when "raw".I love hearing you speak Spanish ,a language that I love.
One of best Mexican travel vlogs I have seen.Wonderful in the parallel universe exploring Mayan culture and natural beauty of the area- without a bunch of obnoxious tourists! Wow,you even got to see the manatees,a rare sighting as they near extinction. Great job,Gareth! You are always so enthusiastic and respectful of customs and culture too! Your Spanish is great.
Nato's tours is a little business and we are so happy that you came to Xcalak and took the tour with us, hope u can come back soon, we will be waiting for you 🎉
I became one of your subscriber when u featured filipino foods in your vlogs. I love the way you present different cultures. Simple yet fruitful.. Keep it up Sir 👍

Baila, baila, bailar in Bacalar! Such a pristine turquoise body of water to go exploring on down the Southeastern tip of Mexico. Gareth makes it look easy.👍🏽 How cool to swim with those manatees.. definitely the highlight of this video. Andalé mas, huero!
I grew up swimming with manatees in Florida---they're super curious and playful creatures. So cool you had that experience! I found your videos because I'm headed to Bacalar in a few days. Can't wait!
Gareth eres el mejor bro!!! But you already know this and I get inspired to keep traveling deeper because of how you do it and hope I also can inspire people to travel more like you do!! Great video, hope you enjoyed my area!!

Thank you Diana! I bought this snorkel when taking my PADI certificate in Australia. I highly recommend investing in a good quality snorkel and traveling with it, especially in Mexico. I don't know the exact brand, but send me a DM on IG and I'll look it up for you.
Hello Gareth.. When you were in xcalak and you went on a boat tour on the canal between Belize and Mexico. Did you hire a special boat tour guide or is there a lot when we arrive to the city? What is the price for a very good tour, with snorkeling and all we see in your video. We will go from Cancun, Valladolid, Bacalar, Xcalak, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, and back to Cancun. We are 4 people from Denmark. Looking forward too see more videos. Best Reagards Peter
Can't wait. Me and my wife will be in the mayan for a month in January and will be at Bacalar and mahahual for 7 days. Will Def have to stop for that honey and maybe go to Xcalak. Thanks for the great video and ideas. Is the Bee / Honey place Lol ha miel de abeja melipona ? Just wondering cause I would love to stop here on the way to Mahahual from Bacalar when we move places. Oh and Definitely going to that breakfast place. Thank you again.
"Ya no quiero ser RU-vidr, es un trabajo muy cansado. Pensé y sólo bebían y estaban con las mujeres" hahaha... That dude! It Is a tiring and hard as hell. You do a great job doing It dude. Next year it's gonna be ours! Thanks brother for the great content.
Not that easy the kayak part in Bacalar, though, beautiful but tough! You made it look easy 😄 ‘Serious about sopes’ ‘Gringo style sandwich’ Haha so funny Great video!
Hi Gareth it is a very nice video with some nice colours and a lot of peace. Was it a private arrange trip or do you have a link or and e-mail on a guy who Can bring us to the spot ?
Hello, I would like to ask you where do you find your guide to the trip for manatees? Do you have some recomend? Thank you so much, your guide look like cool man, and I would like to go with someone like him, not with scubadiving center, its little bit commercial...
Mate that is brilliant and what a magic moment with those two magnificent creatures of the sea. There are stingless bees in the bush near my place and if people realise the true value of bees for our survival they would kick up more of a stink for governments to ban the insecticides that are killing them.
Gareth I have to say I do not enjoy your videos when you explore regions of the world suffering in abject poverty. I must complement you on your genuine concern and respect for the people in the region. I hate to sound like “ An Ugly Ameracan” but if I want to see poverty I can go to the inner city in the US.
Very interesting perspective Mark. I think the big question is... how would you define "poverty"? In my travels, I have found the happiest people living in the most "basic" of places. Let's be sure we understand what being "poor" means...
@@GarethLeonard Gareth my perspective is that of a man 30 years your senior that came from a blue collar suburban family. I realized when I was a teenager that I had opportunity that most black residents in Chicago would never have, yes I am a privileged white man. I have seen poverty in and outside of the US and it makes me cringe. You look at the poor villages in Mexico and the Philippines as an adventure, my perspective is different. I respect you as a kind person and a great RU-vid host. Enjoy your travels.
