Wild asparagus hunt, in a medieval castle. 

There is a castle near us, a small one, but bona-fide medieval. It is a go-to pace for a nice hike, as the views are spectacular. The other attraction is there is wild asparagus in the area.
Our hunt for asparagus did not yield results, but the walk was nice. The tower and castle are fenced off, but on a previous hike I noticed a little gap in the fence. Judging from the trail wear at this gap, I am not the only one poking around the old castle. It is an asparagus hot-spot, and there is a festival coming up in about a month, so my guess is it gets picked regularly.
