It's 8.45pm in a cold, dark West Yorkshire in the North of England. I just got in from a long, hard day at work and you three just made my day. Loved all your moves and comments. Thank you for cheering me up no end.
This song came out in 1976 and boy howdy did I dance my heart out on the dance floor. Great music! I'm 65 and still sing this song whenever I hear it, I can't dance to it (my body won't let me), but I can sure clap my hands to the beat.
You guys were great in this video! I loved how you were getting into this great song. Thank you all for your input on this. I was 15 when this came out.
Back in the day most keyboards could only produce one type of sound, so they would have several stacked up to give them versatility. That looks like a Hammond organ, a Fender Rhodes electric piano and a synthesizer stacked up. Today you could have one sampling keyboard that will deliver all of those sounds.
Danced to that when it came out. It was 1976. Just graduated high school. Disco was coming and we went dancing every single weekend. What great times. You know these were the innocent days, had not heard of AIDS, no date-rape drugs, just long weekends of drinking, partying and dancing until the clubs shut down. Commodores were out. Great times. If you were drunk the cops took you home. These were days we will never get back.
This is one of the few songs from the Disco era that I will never get tired of. I'm so glad to know that it still makes people want to get up and dance after all of these years.
Who could’ve imagined so much rhythm coming out of the great town of Steubenville, OH? This song has everyone dancing back in the day! Great memories to go with a great song and great band.✌️😎👍🎸
