Alas, no blue Goby.... Looks like some kids have been using the six foot pool. Their rope swing bears mute testimony! Thanks for another great nature vid!
Awesome video. Just recently found your channel. The inverts in your video you are calling crayfish are actually macrobrachium. They are found in many many countries. I'm not sure which type you have there.
man I loved it all so beautiful!!!! when I lived in Kentucky I had a special place up in the mountains had a little waterfall like that I was in love with that place!!! awesome video friend I will foresure be back
The university wasn't entirely correct, there is another goby on the Virgin Islands. The Spotted Algae Eating Goby (Sicydium punctatum) can be found there. Males in breeding coloration have greenish-blue color but most of the time they are just a brown-gray with gray banding.
So so so cool!! This is literally like herping (searching for reptiles and amphibians) except for fish...we've got to come up with a cool name for this activity LOL
Cool video this time 👌, may I suggest to catch that goby. Why not use trap from unused plastic bottle ... I think that will work ... But the problem is what bait that attracts that goby besides that a lot of another fish that will eat the bait ...
Wauw, that is a little paradise ! Really beautiful ! Did you catch anything ? Nice video, love the gopro footige. Also liked the microscope video. Please keep m coming 👍🏼 ✌🏼️
Amazing footage! How did you end up living in the virgin islands if you don't mind me asking? That seems like a pretty difficult thing to do to just up and move to the VI.
Thanks for the reply. Can't wait for more wild fish hunts. I was in the navy in 97 and we stopped there for a few days. As our ship was coming in there were dolphins surrounding us and following us in and I was on a carrier. I never saw anything like it before and I'll never forget it. Love your content brother.
Hi Joseph. Thanks for sharing this awesome place. Just wondering if you know that species of plant (grass-like, maybe Eriocaulon?) that you saw about 13 mins into the video?
Hi Joseph oh yes I love this kind of blogging. Sometimes I’m concerned for your safety not knowing if you have snakes or wild dangerous animals in those ‘guts’
love to come take a walk up those guts some day with a pair of goggles an limitless SD cards batteries and go-Pro's. If you have figured out the collection limitations I'd love to collect a few things as well. We can all dream.
