On foot, by car or off-road vehicle, by plane or by boat, the California Game Wardens - 240 in all - patrol the state's 159,000 square miles diligently and determinedly making sure hunters and anglers obey the law and defending the landscape and the incredibly diverse wildlife from human threats.

Wow, never seen game wardens used Gestapo tactics. Maybe they should see how they do it in Montana and learn how to be calm around hunters and treat people with respect not like criminals, but it is California.

I never had a problem with the California game wardens in the 41 years I lived in California. They were always more than fair to me.

I saw some confusion about the tent to tent search in the beginning - that was legal because it was for officer safety and just checking that all persons were accounted for and they wouldnt be surprised/shot. Then the party did give consent to search further.

First of all I am totally pro law enforcement. After watching this show for two episodes I am disgusted by what I have seen as far as violating rights. Of course I wasn’t there so I don’t know for sure but, the way it has been edited does not look good for California fish and game.

Maybe announce yourselves as wardens because come to my camp sounding like a militia if you don't announce yourselves you would get treated like a chargeing bears stealth is not the right move lights and sirens announcing who you are while surrounding the camp would be safer for everyone

There is another statistic I heard not sure if true either but something like 90% of poaching comes from like something low like 10% of poachers. Like if your in you are in. Some people just have some psychology built in to think its ok or something. IDK

300 ultra mag.300 win mag.amd are blackout 300 which shoots a 7.62 neither are bigger than a 2.5 inch broadhead

I seen a 200lb doe shot in the hip it dropped her in her tracks she didn't even kick it turned both hams and both back straps into bloodshot jello IV seen shoulder exit wounds from 300win almost big enough to stick a gallon milk jug threw. I guess you don't understand how speed of a bullet works. I have 2 300wm 3 270wnin 1 308 2 223colts 2 243win 2 7mmwsm I have 2 crossbow 2 high country compound bows. A little 223ar will make a hole twice as big as any broadhead. 99% of all deer shot with 300wm drops 99.99 shot with a bow or crossbow runs off and u have to track them. USMC sniper doesn't use broadhead but they do use 300wm

They are game wardens, numb nuts. They have more authority than cops do, those kids were spotlighting deer associated with that camp so they have every right to do what they want!

@meghan7547 so I'm not 100% sure but I believe a tent/camp has less of an expectation of privacy than your home. It's more similar to the expectation of privacy in your car. This makes the bar to have reasonable cause to search lower. They have reasonable suspicion of a crime so I think the search was fine but I mean obviously a lawyer can argue that in court and I am not a lawyer, just know a little
