Our Volunteer Trail Crew just wrapped a week-long trip in the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness near Phyllis Lakes. Our 15 volunteers (including packers) contributed a total of 502.5 hours to the project.
We completed 5.5 miles of brushing, retread on 1,300 feet of badly burned/sloughed trail, and 1 mile of rocking along the Hi-Line Trail.
Our Volunteer Trail Crew works hard - but also knows how to have fun! After all the work was complete, they held a little ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate a job well done.
(The charismatic fellow making the speech is Jerry Blythe of Helena - thank you, Jerry!)
