Wild pursuit ends with driver slamming head-on into cars on 405 Freeway in L.A.

A woman who led officers on a pursuit through Santa Monica and into Brentwood Friday morning was taken into custody after crashing head-on into multiple vehicles on the 405 Freeway.
Video showed the driver attempting to ram the patrol vehicles and then leaning out the window of the van and shouting at officers. At one point, the fleeing driver turned around and chased one of the patrol vehicles down a street in an attempt to crash into it. The driver then began driving in the wrong direction on the freeway and crashed head-on into multiple vehicles on the freeway.

I watched the entire chase, and she didn't seem inebriated, although pissed off about something with the police for sure. Lived in the van. Maybe she got "the knock" one too many times in that "vanlifer" life style and finally something broke within her? The way she could back that van and make moves with it, if she'd been drunk, I don't think she could have made those moves so well. Lot of people living in vans and RV's since can't afford housing, out of a job, and maybe finally have a breakdown, especially if always been told to move, in the middle of the night, if all they wanted was to park and get some sleep. Then comes "the knock" and police tell them to move.

How is it a couple of homeless bums can do drugs, drink and fight everday? Certainly they were not CEO's of a company! Well, the Government pays them to do this and now we see the result. Even still, the 3,000 patrol cars couldn't stop her until she stopped herself. The number of people who could have been injured or killed was mindboggling! Yet not one cop could shoot out her tyres and slow her down. They were not trained for that, you see. They were waiting to talk to her with 'Kid Gloves' as their trainings probably taught them!
