Wild Yak / Drong is the biggest and rare mammals of Ladakh. It is found only in high altitude valleys above 4500 m in eastern Ladakh. Often young bulls get separated from Dong herds and mix with domesticated Yaks.
This young bull is one such, who strayed away from its own herd and mixed with the domesticated female Yaks called Dimos. It was on such morning that I got the chance to record this beast.
