By most accounts Friedemann's life wasn't all that happy or successful. But he certainly was a fine composer, who found his own voice despite his father's strong influence. Thanks for uploading these treasures!

Friedemann had such a unique personality. He merged his father's contrapuntal education with a very deep, all of own sense of expression and emotions.

6:57 - the interpretation of "presto" .... I just didn't feel it. It felt like a *standard* gigue at an allegro/ allegro con moto speed. It certainly didn't even hit a vivace tempo, let alone presto. I'll have to play through this one to see why it possibly wouldn't work well at a much faster tempo. I might be missing something.

19:33 - a "scherzo"? No I didn't get that feeling either. It's a little bit amusing to me. I imagine playing this audio to my music class for a big test or small exam and give each student multiple choice options for what they think the tempo might be.... and perhaps even give them metronomes for some movements. I'm sure most wouldn't be able to guess the style [as written onto the score by the composer] or the tempi either.
