... Ausschnitte aus einer Dokumentation über das deutsche Engagement im Orient zu Zeiten von Wilhelm II. Die Zusammenschnitte zeigen vorrangig den Kaiser, wieder hinreißend verkörpert von Udo Schenk.
Yes, during his birth he was upside down and one of the doctors accidentally dislodged his left arm and tore the muscle trying to fix it. He also wasn't breathing, but was resuscitated shortly after. The arm was originally some 6 inches shorter than his other arm but some 19th century practices managed to elongate it to about 3 inches shorter. He was able to use his fingers and could hold things, but he couldn't lift anything with that arm. Interestingly, it wasn't just his left arm that was lackluster, his entire left side of his body was weaker than the right. He had trouble balancing on horses and his head apparently drooped to the side a bit, but both issues he overcame later in life.
Das eine erinnert mich an die Szene aus “das Fünfte Element”, wo Zorg die neuste Waffe präsentiert. Und dann fiel mir ein, dass er da auch der Synchronsprecher war 😆
2:36 - He hopes the monarch supports his plan. In the vicinity of Jerusalem, he had an audience (visit) with him. The Kaiser is ready to receive you. Herzl! Have a seat! Isn't that a magnificent view?
1:46 - I've brought you something. The newest creation of our German arms industry. I'll show it to you. A Mauser rifle, a carbine. Absolutely suitable for the masses. And precision work. May I draw your attention to the magazine? This magazine holds 5 cartridges which is a new development. A proficient shooter can fire 15 rounds a minute with this weapon. At whom or what, I leave that up to you.
He doesn't think that English rules the world! He just wants to know what the narrators saying because he's interested in YOUR history! Obviously it's useful to know another language in other circumstances, like politics, but why should people have to do that just to enjoy a documentary? I'm pretty sure just adding subtitles is easier and isn't asking for much!
3:21 - Here in Palestine we can build our own country and our people can be free. My good Herzl, I understand and I have the greatest sympathy for your movement, but you need to be patient. We must be very careful to work around the Sultan. In August 1914, the 1st World War breaks out. The Kaiser's politics isolated Germany in Europe. France, England, and Russia united against Germany. (Disparages the English and then basically says they have to incite the Muslims against English colonial rule in the Middle East or something like that.)
THE second Caliph of all muslims our beloved real Christian Holly German Emperor Whilhom the Second. If Germans ruled Syria and Mesopotamia it will be a real paradise.
