Yay, thank you! You don't know how much your kindness means to me. I've been getting bunches of mean comments lately that I just ignore and delete, but it is so lovely to have a nice comment sometimes!
Sorry to hear that--you do such a phenomenal job of summarizing the book, the characters and what you love about it. At any rate, I've subscribed! I'll mostly be around for the classics.
Hi, Kailey! Luke here. I never can pick which Collins I love more between “The Woman In White” and “The Moonstone. They are both brilliant! I like Walter but Marion is my favorite protagonist from the novel and Fosco is one of my favorite villains of all time. Great video! Thanks!
"The Woman in White" is a book no one mentioned to me when I was getting my degree. I hadn't heard of Wilke Collins until I graduated and was checking out "more classics" in adulthood and this was my first taste of that author. LOVED IT! Recently threw it into a booktube tag to give it some more attention because, YES, Walter is a fabulous hero. He deserves more mentions out here in the reading world. (I have to admit that I remembered Laura and Marian as BFFs instead of as sisters, but that could be my personal experience/life influencing my perception.)
Laura and Marian are half-sisters, so there is a little bit of that distance in their family tree. Maybe that's why you remembered them as just friends. They have different last names. So glad that you agree about Walter! He's so wonderful!
In December I read Wounded Sky by Diane Duane. I am still reading Star Trek stories and novels and am now almost through with Constellations: Celebrating 40 Years of Star Trek. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes collections of Star Trek fan fiction. The book that you mentioned sounds great, too. Thanks for another great video!
