I put a Chinese ac cdi on my 70s 2 stroke. And it gave my bike spark again but it still won’t fire. It ran perfectly before the original cdi took a shit. I changed the coil and plug. Still has spark but won’t fire.
I'm having a problem with my 03 ltz 400 . Neutral light isn't coming on and when I switch to 3rd gear it cuts out and loses power. I have basically tried everything. I was thinking it might be the rectifier but it wasn't. It starts fine but doesn't really idle well either. Thank you sir🍻
I have checked pretty much everything I can possibly think of and everything is coming to a dead-end. It's something stupid simple but, I'm not seeing it. I have been searching for answers but nobody seems to know why . I recently did an off frame topend rebuild . It sat out all summer long if that helps 🤷♂️ appreciate your time sir 🍻
@@vibrantlife6536 i have some issue for my bike. already half years. try changing the pulse coil.carburetor because it can be but no different. all the wiring just fine when i check end to end. the one thing i cant know if the cdi is dying. it can start rough. when in gear trying to move it cuts out. my assumption is that cdi maybe bad on higher load. what about yours
So straight wire the black and red power wire straight to 12v? Cause the bike I just got didn’t have a wire harness on it anymore and the stator does not have an exciter coil I believe it is called that the other like 6 pin cdi’s require for power.
@@RealIrishTexan preciate the help, I’m waiting on the cdi to come in tomorrow so I can hopefully get my bike back up and running to ride again. Thanks.
It has worked on everything that I've it tried on including Honda 500 and all different sizes the cracking and popping must be coming from somewhere else
@RealIrishTexan the CDI box may be bad. I just ordered another one. I have a drawer full of AC ones but no DC ones except the used one it came with. It idles and a single pickup so I figured that was working.
