I didn't think Trump was a good choice when he ran the both times. He only served 1 term though the warning is as Robert said there is s good chance he wins in 2024. And as much as I hate to say this he may be right this country does have a tradition of re-electing someone after they served once. No one said the terms had to be back to back. We are a family of 4. We work two jobs, have one son in college and one son in high school. Average Americans right? Except we have a Type 1 and a Type 2 diabetic in the family. And we hit our deductible for our Type 1 son $1,500.00 (really an added tax on us) every year and then have that one person that hit the max pay $0.00 after that (usually around August) but the rest of us are still paying all the co pays I mentioned before. Not to mention prescription costs. MEDICARE FOR ALL = FREEDOM! Why can't we see that? I don't understand.

Biden bows to the will of his donors. He voted for BAPCPA out of interest to his corporate donors and a major reason why there's a student loan debt crisis. Early on in his campaign, he promised a room full of billionaires that for them "nothing would fundamentally change." There's a DNC Superdelegate who works as a lobbyist for pharmaceutical companies, donates heavily to Republicans (including Mitch McConnell) and is virulently opposed to Bernie Sanders. Debate Me! But your vote is the most important thing. And - just a note - there are plenty of anti-Trump voters who are not in any position to take more action, either due to health, finances or geographic location. We all need to take opportunities to talk to our friends and acquaintances about the facts surrounding the election (and the current Administration). However, berating and insulting people who agree with your positions is counterproductive. Encouragement, maybe even help, might get more people to rallies and protests (do you need a ride? Do you have a babysitter? Can I pay your bus fare?). Then following through during the election in November is critical.

Can't give an american opinion, but a german one. Trust me on this one: You want a president that can deliver what Bernie promises. Idk if you think Bernie can pull that off, but you should go for someone that does. Healthcare, education and worker-protection are what gets you into the position of deciding for yourself what to do. "Work or die" is not a decision. You will always be enslaved, because everyone will leave you to die if you dont accept crazy contracts. I am NOT proposing "Work or just live like a king without work"! But taking away all the negotiation-power from a worker will result in the loss of any economical strength a society has. Why should you trust my german opinion? We started a lot later to copy american policies, so we still have quite a few social laws. We are not as fucked as you are. With every step our politicians take into the direction of american example (privatize critical infrastructure, undermine pension and healthcare funds/laws) our country breaks apart a little bit more. You have to get out of the stress of surviving to start living, massive studies out there that show how mentally impaired endangered people get. Careful, you might hope that the majority of non-voters are on your side, but you might just be fooling yourself. In 2016, more rightwing non-voters were mobilized. Clinton had about as much votes as Obama did, however, Trump got about 2 million more votes than Romney. Take a look at Australia, there they have compulsory voting, and one where you can vote for more than one party declaring one your first choice and another your second choice, that means you can risk voting for a third party and still not waste that vote. But the last election there has proven once again that even the seemingly progressive Australians are infact majority rightwing shitheads who give a shit about the enviroment. At the end of the day, most humans are greedy, selfish and only worried about their own economic success, that means they are afraid of those whom they think are threatening their standard of living and convenience.

Outside the box approach to border security has Mexico manning both their southern and northern borders with their own army. 4. I disagree, I feel like "vote blue no matter who" and "vote red no matter whats said" (may have just made that up) are not founded upon logic and evidence. I feel as if this sort of mindset contributes to the destruction of any sort of civil discussion and bipartisan compromise because of the "us vs them" attitude. What are your guy's thoughts?

@@ajman460 Context matters. "Vote Blue No Matter Who" is (Arguably poorly worded, I'll concede that) targeted at primary losers. People who are still definitely within the realm of party supporters, but might refuse to vote out of spite for losing the primary (A lot of Bernie supporters did that in 2016.) It's just a more catchy version of "rally behind the primary winner instead of being a cause of division"

I think a large part of the reason people don't vote is because they know their individual vote doesn't really matter. For the most part, elections really only come down to the Electoral College/swing states. This, obviously, causes many people to feel disengaged/alienated from the election process. It's going to take the administrations of more than one progressive president to address all of the US's problems. There are going to be some elections along the way where the progressive Democrat isn't the Party's candidate. In that case, it's still important to show up and vote for the moderate Democrat to prevent backsliding, and give the next progressive Democrat the best point to start from. Your choices: Vote progressive Democratic candidate (Sanders): move country forward. Vote moderate Democratic candidate (Biden): maintain status quo, hopefully get rid of the worst of Trump's actions. Vote Conservative candidate (Trump): continue to move the country backward. As Robert has pointed out in other videos, it's just as important to vote for the right candidates at all elections. At some point, were going to need to get some constitutional amendments passed, and that's going to require Democratically-controlled state legislatures.

Dude, I am with you! Democratic voters need to fight for the Democratic nominee, *no matter who that is*!! I don't see Biden as progressive, and neither do millions of young voters who are Bernie supporters. HOWEVER, we cannot give Trump another 4 years by going the 'Bernie or bust' route. How does he plan to shepherd Medicare For All and paid college tuition through the House and Senate into law? Even if the Senate flipped blue? Cudgeon It will all be elementary by the time Indiana votes. Tonight’s results do not look good for Sanders. If Sanders had pulled an upset in South Carolina, this race could be very different now. I’ve pledged from the beginning that I would support the nominee without conditions. If Biden is that nominee, the only way he doesn’t win is if Democrats do not come together and vote. Sanders has been saying he is the one who can inspire the turnout. If he can’t do that in the primary, I certainly don’t see how he could do well in the General! So as I said before: we will see how sincere this call for unity truly is! One other thing. Joe isn’t Hillary. This is the former Vice President of the most popular administration our country has seen in decades. Sure, it wasn’t perfect but it was far better than what we’ve seen with our current White House. I will vote third party if Bernie loses. I have to vote with my conscious. Neither Biden or Trump will give us true voting reform like ranked choice voting, making election day a holiday, keeping a minimum amount of polling places, etc and neither will give us true military industrial complex reform or private prison reform. I could go on and on. If the moderates had picked Amy Klobuchar or Pete buttigieg then I could see myself stomach voting for them. No way am I going to vote for a senile person. And Bernie doesn't control me - I really don't give a shit what he has to say once he quits.

The problem is people are not voting for Bernie, nor are the young going out to vote in any higher rates than in previous elections. I honestly don't think either candidate has a better chance of winning against trump than the other because of that lack of turn out.
