There was a lot of discussion about this before the game that I cut out in the edit. When it was first suggested, someone said ‘max 3 exchanges’ but then someone else said ‘no exchanges’ and that’s what they played - no exchanges. There was some discussion of only allowing exchanges if there was no legal move that could be made… obviously there’s a little bit of grey area when it comes to burrito scrabble, lol. I lived in San Diego California for 16 years. I have had some incredible burritos from some small little taco stands. I put a Carne Asada burrito or a California burrito at a number 10.

Today in Guangzhou, China, where are my friends and I meet on the weekends or whenever we can to play Scrabble at the local Starbucks. We played Scrabble burrito. It was just the two of us. I won, but the question came up… Is exchanging ok? My friend said if that's the case you could just keep on exchanging until you get the letters you want. Anyway let me know… Because I did exchange twice.

Thanks for watching - in this particular game, no exchanges were allowed. Before the game was played they discussed variants like ‘max 3 exchanges’ or ‘no exchanges’. Hope that helps!

Why not just keep exchanging instead of playing tiles?

Exchanges aren't allowed. There was some debate before the game was played (that I edited out for time) about versions of Burrito Scrabble that are played with a maximum of 3 exchanges or no exchanges. The players made the choice to play with no exchanges before the game. Thanks for watching!
