Will Fantasy Flight Games Keep Supporting Marvel Champions - Stream Clip 

Regarding Netrunner, Wizards of the Coast revoked the license from FFG and thus they had to stop making the game. It was especially sad because the game had a new designer who had only put out a single cycle and the game was hitting a second wind at the time of the cancel.

I play almost exclusively solo but there's a lot of content that I haven't even tried out yet. I have yet to play Storm, Gambit, Rogue, Domino, Angel and X-23. Heck, I still have yet to play a couple "old" heroes like Scarlet Witch, Valkyrie or Vision. And some that I have played have only gotten to the table once or twice, like Thor, Wasp, Colossus, Phoenix and Magik. Not to mention that I've only played villains/scenarios as one-offs. I've never attempted any of the proper "campaigns" (mostly because I think campaign play would be much more interesting in multiplayer...which I almost never get to do with this game). I'm always happy to see more content release for the game but yeah, I was onboard with Champions since Day One and even I still have a lot of catching up to do.

I think they’ll do Fantastic Four next, then Defenders and that might be it. At the rate they’re going that’s another two years, then we might start to see repacked content.

If they stick with the "Trilogy" style of storytelling...Three-four F.F.'s( easy expansions ideas to come up with),Daredevil, for MAYBE two expansions( Kingpin's got to be involved).Avengers,for damn sure ,can do three or four expansions. Kree/ Skrull,Korvak,Avengers/ Defenders,Civil War....Secret Wars!!!! I COULD even get excited over a Ghost Rider or even Blade game.Seems Blade needs a biiiiiig push though, for it to be bank for them.After that...,I may be hard pressed to continue.Already on Storage Box #2 and the first box has all of the previous expansions.

Honestly, I wish they would take a note from the Arkham Horror LCG where they can repackage waves so it'll be easier to keep in stock for stores and for players to find the damn characters they want. For real, I want Thor, Dr Strange, and my friend wants Cap and holy hell they are expensive when you find them from sellers. I feel like the core is fine, but it would be awesome if we could buy a hero expansion, get all the heroes from a wave, then a campaign/villain expansion, which only has the scenarios and the other standalone scenarios shoved in. And boom, easy to stock, easy to find, easy to buy. But I don't know if that would ever happen. I feel like there are way more hero cards than villain cards and scenarios so the cost would be skewed, but honestly, I'd love if they could let me buy things in two wave packs where I can get the heroes I want from the get go. Wave 1: Avengers/Rise of Red Skull. Wave 2:Guardians of the galaxy/Galaxy's Most Wanted. Wave 3: Infinity War(the leftover heroes tbh)/Mad Titan's Shadow. Wave 4: Web Warriors/Sinister Motives, etc etc for the Xmen stuff. It would make getting new players in so much easier imo

I think MC is by far their best going LCG. More than AH and way more than LOTR. But they keep doing LOTR. So moneywise i think we are safe in my opinion.

We will never know for sure. I'm happy for new content, but if it ends... I have years of playing.

I thought Netrunner also had licensing issues. Only played one offs of it but that's what my Netrunner obsessed friend said

I think FFG will support MC for as long as they are allowed. But… Asmode was saddled with 2 billion in debt. That will flow downward into all the Asmode IP line and everyone will be affected without exception. Asmode will not take the hit from the debt. They will protect their investors over all else. If shops have to be closed, IP sold off, or projects canceled, so be it. The bottom line must be preserved over all else. The consumer counts not at all. I believe FFG saw this coming and that’s the reason for the current content slowdown. Recall that slightly over a year ago we got the announcement that content was being accelerated. To suddenly reverse that indicates that something major occurred. To blame it on supply line problems is convenient at best. The money supply from Asmode dried up and that’s what is affecting production. There is most likely two more years of MC content already in the pipeline. Whether any of that gets to green light to go to print is a decision that will come from Asmode not FFG. With support, however, it’s easy to project that MC could run another six years. When any company, Asmode or especially Embracier, praises an IP as being a top performer don’t take it as a vote of confidence. Embracier especially has a long track record of making disastrous decisions that have taken a terrible human toll. If it benefits those in the C-suites then they will act. If it does not then everything is on the table.

I have all the content available right now for marvel champions but I have yet to play solo I have kid on the way and I’ll finally able to play any ideas for my first few games? Which Hero, villain? Thanks
