I don't know if I'm giving Flash too much credit but sometimes... it feels to me like he's trying to create opening game states to explore and see where the holes might be rather than playing to win.
I don't know if I would go that far with it, but bare minimum he's definitely trying to find solutions to meta-specific situations that he's less familiar with. I feel like he's already showing more diversity of play than 80% of pros right now.
@@2639theboss I commented something similar on a previous video. Instead of copying the meta builds and meta responses that other Terrans are doing, he is trying to catch up on the meta by trying things out himself.
think bisu messed up when he split his dragoons up. He had the idea to catch reinforcements but he needed the critical mass to fully break flash's position
what are u crazy? 1 base vs 1 base TvP we haven't seen for AGES this is freaking amazing and I'm very happy for the varieties! seems like flash is really experimenting here, all the games you casted have been him trying out different stuff trying to change the meta.
Flash sensed his primary nemesis who could unseat him at #1 had left South Korea, and decided it would be worth this time to show his skill again. This nemesis's name? Artosis. No one can deny the coincidental timing...
Not Happy? Wild games are sometimes the best games. Describing this game is a great example of why Flash is great.Even when he is out of shape he is still a wild gamer
Cannons on the high ground would cover the natural entrance pretty well, and they'd be much harder to break. Why do we almost never see cannons on cliffs overlooking the natural?
artosis when flash wins: "wow incredible how he does the impossible, lets pause the replay at the end and analyse for an additional 40 minutes" artosis when flash loeses: "yeah whatever, nobody saw that, lets go next".
There are special moments in this Flash run, like when the first storm drop came out in game 2 vs dewalt and the critical moment in the scv tank attack in game 2 here, where it looks like he has another gear. That's a terrific sign for Artosis's dream of a full comeback.
Artosis, arguably the greatest commentator in the history of commentating. Man I watch plenty of different sports etc, and the commentators are always calling the action, saying the same thing every game, no ability to understand or more importantly PREDICT what is going to happen - i almost always mute it. It's analysis that makes for great commentary. (that and some flavour/colour from your inner rage)
People really seem to like the Flash videos and you're smart to keep giving it to them Arty. Keep the streak going! And give us some Flash vs. Snow next!
It does but it doesn't mean having higher source fps could'nt be beneficial. For example if you record 1080p gameplay and post it as 1080p it looks worse than if you record 4k gamepkay and upload it as 1080p. RU-vid does a lot of compression and shenanigans (youtube 1080p is closer to real 720p than 1080p, youtube 4k is so far from 4k it's pathetic).
@@BoredLikeHelI This sounds implausible to me; if you record at a higher framerate, you're actually allotting less bits per frame than at a lower one, though there's a good chance even if the game is running at a higher framerate, Artosis's recording is still set to record at 60 anyway. What does trick the RU-vid algo into giving you more bits is upscaling a 1080p video to 4k before uploading. While upscaling doesn't inherently improve quality, it causes RU-vid to create higher resolution versions with higher bitrates, and the amount of extra bitrate it allots more than makes up for the inefficiency of the upscaling. It's silly that it can't just give 1080p videos the bitrate they need (apparently a premium feature?) but it's something you can do.
@@BoredLikeHelI Wouldn't this mean RU-vid has to turn 100 fps into 60 fps? It really should be 120 fps or something that is divided evenly by 60, otherwise RU-vid can't drop every other frame or every third frame, but have to decide to keep some frames and others to drop.
While Artosis set his monitor to 300hz, and it very well may be better for actual gameplay, for replay casting, it's worse. This video is considerably blurrier whenever the screen scrolls. Artosis, if you see this, please go back to your previous settings. Whatever you did made the video look worse.
thanks arty, please remember ti keep the sound volume up (music, sounds). that does make a big difference, at least for me. maybe others think the same
I liked that game! Was actually somewhat outside the box strategy with the dragoons splitting of to take preasure from the expansion base and the back amd forth, Unterredung to watch.
I just watched a cast here, and weirdly enough I saw Corsairs. Then I realized it's a 2 months old video. And then it hit me: the only downside to Flash-casts-only is no more PvZ. So I was thinking: maybe do 2 videos per day (and hear me out here): one Flash video, and then another Flash video. This way, we get two Flash videos per day.
I'm curious if that first marine/tank push with Flash on the final game here could have been executed better somehow in order to avoid all the back and forth after. I want to say yes, because it looks close. But also, that looks like quite a bit, so maybe he already did it the best one could do it?
Hey Arty. I'm sorry to say but sometimes you talk a lot about nothing when there's actually very important stuff going on. In that first game, the obs first was absolutely crucial. You didn't catch that the obs made a bee-line to scout the production, and as soon as Bisu saw the 4 facts, he added 2 gateways which saved him the game.
Technical question. Are you casting anywhere other than RU-vid? Your casts here are limited to 60fps. I don't know why you wouldn't simply capture at 60fps -- am I correct that you were saying you're recording at 300fps? We see in 60fps, might as well record and see what we see -- you'll be more certain of final output... and save on disk space big time.
If this was sc1 vs sc2 we wouldn't even have to watch to know who wins....tasteless lost his mind without you artosis. Or maybe you were just carrying him the entire time......hmm 🤔
you arent going to notice a difference past the cap of your monitor's refresh rate, and of course, youtube caps at 60 fps. And none of this is even mentioning the fact that you probably arent recording at 300 fps
I think the rush avoids any kind of micro or long game. I think his wrist in bad condition. Most of his games here are rushes, when did macro game, his micro was sloppy.
When you see him constantly lob tanks and marines with no medics at you …. Why would you continue to make goons instead of zealots? I know he made a few vultures, but then he stopped making them a LONG time ago
Im Simple man. I see Flash i click. ive seen some other games of Flash vs Snow. he seems to be really struggling vs P. Flash is however. The greatest Starcraft chess player and i have no doubt he will crack the current Meta vs P
Flash does not learn the new meta. Flash brute forces his own meta. The greatest player of all time is throwing poop on the wall and seeing what sticks.
So basically I'm just not gonna stop casting him (Flash!) I know.. UGH I Know.. I'm sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's just that I'm gonna keep casting him is all HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAAHAAHA
