He's great but he does tend to cut people off in interview. Charlie Morgan has a great rugby knowledge as well and had to slightly fight to get his points across. Both guys are great though.
Loved this show today . Alex back to his best in listening to Charlie and Will who were superb. No Hask and tales of his weekend which is fine if it’s an interest to anyone but personally I love England rugby talk and in this show we had plenty. Charlie Morgan is the best journalist in rugby in my opinion . Think he loves England as much as I do. Writes great articles in the Telegraph. 🏴🏉
Will's view of the 12 13 is fairly grounded and refreshing - from one of the most astute and smartest centres England ever had. In the day he and Tindall would swap round during a game depending on what they thought was best.
Absolutely agree. I, like many others have this thing about 12’s being 12’s and 13’s being 13’s. Yet listening to an all time great in his position talk about interchanging trumps anything really. He’s really made me believe that Northmore should start in the autumn.
Would love to see Anthony Watson work his way back into the ENG Squad, good to see him back playing well this wkend! Same with Gloucester's Zach Mercer & Seb Blake. Gabriel Ibitoye has also made a good start to the season on Bristol's left WG. Will Evans is unfortunately bound to be one of those players that'll never be considered for ENG no matter how well he plays for Quins :(
Borthwick could do worse than having Greenwood come in to camp in some capacity... his understanding of space and where and how to attack defenses is special, and he seems to have a great feel for who could succeed at the highest level. Great pod.
Interesting to hear about the England boys who are still pretty fit. I know in Wales the likes of Shane Williams does the Tenby Ironman every year. Along with a few others.
Class episode. For those interested, the Greenwood assist in the 97 match is from 1:53 in the following link (terrible quality link, I pre-warn!): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rTw2ciGUsxc.html
George North was another winger that transitioned pretty well to 13. I think he had a solid shot at making the 2021 Lions had it not been for injury right before the tour.
How long before the legends that Cole and Marler have to be put out to grass? Surely, they ain't going to make the next RWC.......ditto the likes of George, Slade and Daley.
@@Ballas56 I'm not sure which previously conquered southern hemisphere outpost you are from, but I can guarantee EVERY single ex and current player from your country would rate WG's rugby intellect as super-high. I will of course defer to your superiority after you've pointed at your multiple RWC appearances (and a trophy win) and multiple Lions tours. No? Thought not....
The AMEX plug would come over better sans the nauseating royalty free music. Or are there people who aren't traumatised from hearing that in corporate update videos?
