I'm not going to lie to you when I started this journey a couple months ago I thought it was going to be easy....But now I really know poker is hard and you can't make any money at it unless you are Phil Ivey......
Bro I feel your pain!!! Also there’s no shame in folding LOL I do it all time now after so many suck outs and bad beats, GOOD LUCK!!! it’ll come back, also I like your videos man great stuff, can’t wait to see some where your taking down pots!!!
Some unsolicited thoughts: hand 1: - preflop your size is fine. You can even go smaller. Reason being is that bb should be 3b a polar range so we respond with small 4b sizings. -fwiw u even have the option of implementing some 4b jams in this formation. I've seen sims that 4b jam AKo/AQo/KQs in this formation. -BB should always trap AA IP bvb -your flop size is good. bb shouldn't have any jams. gross spot. hand 2: - preflop and flop are fine - turn is theoretically close to a range check. bt retains a nut adv on a 9 turn bc he has more sets and two pair combos than our 3b range. -9 and 6 are the worst cards that can roll of the deck for us. hand 3: -KQo is a fine combo to 4b in this formation. Size should be closer to 3x oop tho. -I think your line is fine. However, I'd prefer to bet a little bit bigger on flop with your combo to be able to play a 2 street game. If you would've 4b bigger and b50% on flop you'd be going to the turn with just about a pot sized bet left. This makes your life easy as you can just get stacks in. hand 4: -this isn't a flop that bb gets to bet very often because IP has a big nut adv. IP has all the sets in range and we only have a few. Thus, our range checks a lot. We prefer to play from the xr node a lot in this spot. I think check/call with Ah3h functions better bc we are ahead of his stabbing range + have a ton of equity. -this spot is similar to hand #2. We don't get to barrel this turn card a lot because the board is much better for bt.
REMEMBER that big pots are usually straights flushes sets maybe 2 pair board dependant so probably your top pair is gonna be beat in those situations even AA remember AA is jst a pair
1st hand, V played well. We can apply same principles against someone who gets sticky and doesn't like to fold postflop. You should ask yourself that the times you get flush, how often will you be good? If answer is not always because V has hands like As/Ks, we are drawing dead. So, when V shoves at low level games, I'm assuming either V has better drawing hand than us, or we are already beat. With As, I don't blame you calling. 2nd hand, Turn is really bad for us, V has 65s, 87s, 98s, JTs. It's very hard to get 3 streets of value with Kx. Usually when V peals turn, he has a hand like pair+ draw type hands or 2p+ hands. He doesn't have much hands QJs which are less equity hands. And against his overall range, on river, we aren't getting called by anything worst. 3rd hand seems cooler. I don't think you'd get away with that. If you think that your opponents 4-bet calling range is super tight, I'd recommend you to play somewhat passive postflop. Because the times that they overfold pre, you'd print money. 4th hand, I'm not sure about V's calling range on flop, but still I don't think we should be betting that often on this turn, not good for our overall range. Doesn't seem betting is a blunder. Maybe sizing could be small. I could be wrong.
I recommend tournaments my brother. Way softer and wayyyy easier to build up a bankroll playing tournaments then cash games. Good way to make a couple grand and build up a roll.
You're to aggressive. That's your biggest issues. U need to fold more often. If someone raises u. U need to slow down and assess why they are raising. Also when you bet u need to think what are u trying to accomplish with your bet. If u are trying to get a call u should be betting smaller. If u are trying to get a fold bet higher. When u get to higher stakes that isn't that simple but at micro stakes its a good starting system. Also u are 3betting way to wide. Hope that helps:)
I think you are too focused on what SHOULD happen rather than what IS happening in the moment. Can't remember which player said it (could be DNegs) they were talking about marrying top pairs "Pocket Aces will get blasted by 3 Deuces every single time". This can be applied to all 'nut' hands, don't be afraid to let them go. Keep up the videos, they are funny as hell! 🤣
@@devpoker No problem, it was one of my wake up calls as I would get married to any hand with a picture on it and think I had no way of losing but time after time I'd get walked to the river and drowned with 'inferior' hands like two pairs or a low straight. These days I have absolutely no problem sometimes folding AA if I don't the feel of the board and the other player's betting sequences. I'm still near the start of my journey too and boy is there still A LOT to learn :)
you're playing like a guy that watches poker on tv. You have to keep in mind that these tv players/pros a lot of the time are very familiar with their opponents. All this "range" talk doesnt really hold too much water with a random table in online poker. Its best to just play solid and on the safer side ..no bluffs and cheap semi bluffs etc. Edit: And DEF stop overplaying hands like AQ offsuit ...raise small preflop or flat in early position and then just keep it honest ..
yea bro I was tilted a little from this last session I played. thanks for taking the time to give advice and write a comment bro, I really appreciate it! ✊
You really need to work on your range, your opponent's range, and your bet sizing. Are you really believing in a 4 bet pot pre that your opponent may have a worse hand than KQ? I smelled that AK right after he flatted the flop. When you 4 bet the AQ and he flats what do you put him on...AJ??? ROFL. Same thing again with the AJ, when you 3 bet and he flats what do you think he has, A-10? Both times they are just trapping you, if you bet into me with that I'm doing the same. Why should I raise and take the chance of scaring you away? The guy has called EVERY bet when u bluff the AJ. Do you think he is folding the river? LMAO 3 betting A3 out of position? Good luck with that. When you call with the A3 you have 11 outs, you are a 2.5 to 1 dog. None of these hands are suck outs or bad beats, you got in bad in ALL of them.
@@devpoker I'd suggest if you're going to play for real money online. and want the best chance to win, playing sit n go's instead. I played back in 2010 before it was banned on Black Friday, and turned 0 dollars to 1200, what enabled me to do that was the Sit N Go wizard, the software was free for 90 days back then, it's 30 days now. But if you practice for a month with it an hour or two each day, you'll have a huge advantage over your opponents.
