I have to say one thing about your poker videos. They are the most realistic, with all the folding in between.

Really like the Vlog. I know it's a load of work and I appreciate it. My humble opinions. 1) You limp even when you know you shouldn't. Stop - it adds up over a night. 2) You hesitate on river value bets. This is where a lot of your $$ will come from. 3) I don't think you float enough. A little too quick to fold a bottom pair or draw on an opponent C-bet. Good luck on your poker Journey.

Gotta say that I agree. I think he gives most players more credit than they typically deserve tbh. A great strategy when you're playing tourneys or seasoned pro's, but in my experience, people bluff A LOT. And I get value from those players.

Thanks for watching! 1) I very rarely limp so I don’t think that’s a leak in my game, maybe once in a blue moon I’ll call from the SB with a hand that I should be folding in a limped pot. 2) I try to go thin for value so if you could share a hand you think I should have bet the river in this vlog apart from the A10 one that I talked about during the vlog. 3) could be, very player dependent for the most part with the players I know and play against often they under-bluff making it profitable to over fold

Great video as always. You played a lot like I do trying to avoid the variance. What would have been interesting is to think about how you would have played the hands differently if you won the massive pot. Could you have called the smaller pocket pairs because there is more to play for? Bet on the A10? Been less conservative?
@Pokerbabbo
@Pokerbabbo Месяц назад
I think we’re deep enough already that set mining doesn’t make that much of a difference. For what I’ve learned it’s just not the most profitable spot and actually the deeper we are the more we have to worry about getting set over set with our small pocket pairs. Same thing for the A10 I don’t think being deeper makes a difference in the decision making of that spot. Thanks for watching! 💪
@betweenthepylons5506
@betweenthepylons5506 Месяц назад
Love the vlog as always! That AK hand was brutal. U pray for spots like that and when it comes u hate to see the vilian get bailed out. I will say I think you're overchecking the flop. You don't play a ton of hands. I feel like players will respect reasonable c-bets when the flop at least connects with your range. I also think the occasional 4-bet bluff would be very profitable for you in certain spots. Specifically the pocket 77 hand on an 8 high board. If he calls, u know ur dead but I think ur taking down the pot alot of times in that spot.
@Pokerbabbo
@Pokerbabbo Месяц назад
Hey man thanks for watching! Definitely 4bet bluffs can be profitable. I think it depends a lot on the players. There’s a lot of games I play that people almost never 3bet so I don’t love the idea of 4brt bluffing such a strong range

Good video! I likes seeing all of the hands. However, it made me question your ranges. I assume your Goon sessions altered your preflop. Would you discuss that, maybe on your next one? You also mentioned your hourly a few times but i missed if you stated it for this session. What was it (and how long)? Amd do you have an hourly goal?
@Pokerbabbo
@Pokerbabbo Месяц назад
Hey! What part of the range I played makes you question it? At the end of the series I’ll make a video that will go through the month and my hourly. I don’t set a hourly goal in a session since that is out of my control. I just have a set amount of hours that I play and will stick to that unless I’m not feeling like im playing good
@CousinBilly

@@Pokerbabbo I don't remember the positions but I think I remember you folded AJo and J10s in a few spots. It made me wonder if that boot camp recommended tighter ranges than traditional (of that's a proper phrase) GTO at 100/200 BBs.

I got to play against you on wednesday. You made a great call on the river, think you had KQd and you hit your 2 pair. I was bluffing with the suited Robbie haha (was playing a range and tried to bluff as if the river gave me the straight). I made way to small of a bet on the river (60 into 120). Probably should sized at 80 to 85 or maybe an overbet. I got wacked that night tho. Lost allins with AK and QQ.

New to the vlog but I love your content…I used to play at Jamul all the time…I think 🤔 your selection of hands your playing and when your playing them is perfectly fine…Playing out of position against tuff players is not idea folding never hurted anyone with that being said you should never fold a pocket pair pre flop unless it’s raised to 60-70+ depending on the stack depth if you hit your card you hope the other person will have a Over pair and will stack off small pairs are the most profitable cards in poker once you hit them…

Calling 3 bet pocket 9s but not calling one bet pocket 5s pocket 3s. I kno position has a lot to do with it but wouldn’t the risk/reward hitting trips be way worth a one bet call in those situations? Especially since 3s is favorite hand?
@Pokerbabbo
@Pokerbabbo Месяц назад
I think the 9s should just be a fold. I do set mine just depends on the game. If I’m in early or middle position I just don’t love it in an active game because there’s a decent chance of someone 3betting behind making me have to fold without even having the chance to hit my set. All together I love set mining but for what I’ve learned it’s not the most profitable. I will set mine a lot more in late position/blinds and very passive games.

Should’ve definitely continued betting on the turn with the 67 hearts. Especially, if you’re gonna bluff the river. If you’re trying to make small pairs and ace high fold, then 3 barreling should put those hands in a tougher spot rather than making a standard c bet on flop, check turn, and bomb river. A lot of weaker hands are gonna look you up on the river.
