Best baselit blade I ever had I got for my 1st one. It was one of those super thick clear blades with a clear film on the inside to reflect the light, so you can see it up the whole blade, plus it gives a different kind of light effect. It's kinda lighter, but without the glow around the blade, like it's reflecting off chrome. That blade though, I hit that against trees like a Baseball Bat!!! I had so much fun with that blade breaking branches & "Practicing" (I was in my early 20's) against a trees. It does have a bunch of scratches on it today, but never one crack & it still has such a nice effect for a baselit. I still play with my 1st Lightsaber from time-to-time...

Great video and always wanted to know about these blades. I’m curious why the screw in method is not standard on all the hilts? Is it cost or design restrictions?

Myself, the way this hilt holds the blade is very secure, but limits the use of the specific hilt. The reason most lightsaber sellers have blade retentions screws is that they're fairly easy to use and make it quick to remove or install a blade. It's secure enough for 90% of what people use lightsabers for. Display, practice, cosplay, etc. Light dueling or choreography they're perfectly fine. My fighting hilts are usually one color LED base-lits. with only the diode, heat sink, battery, a switch and some electrical wire to make the circuit. Probably cost $30 without the empty hilt and the hollow polycarbonate blade. There are sites now that sell the basic kits, but the parts you can find almost anywhere online. I've destroyed blades. Broken at every level and sometimes squashed or bent. The only thing I haven't tried is clear heat shrink on the entire blade, because that adds weight to the blade to ruin the balance.

Looks like it's great for playing around dueling, especially if you have kids (when my families over the kids always want to play with my lightsabers)! But it's probably not good for those actually Lightsaber Academies they have set up that people train at seriously, but hardly any does that...

Nice Video. Very Interesting details. I recently got The "Mist Saber" from Neo Sabers and the LED Blade can handle quite a beating thanks to it's lengthy emitter. The only difference is that you're locking mechanism is something that can hold an LED Blade with ease. If we have to use screws, We just have to be careful. Still can't believe that you didn't have to add retention screws on that bad boy. It does beat having a blade sent flying. Yes I've had that happened once. 😵‍💫 No. It was not pretty if you know what I mean. Having a Saber that looks like a katana is really cool. Hopefully they will make some Neo Pixel flat blades like that one you recently posted in that Short Vid down the road. 👍

The tall one on the top is a 1/4 scale Neca figure.
