What is the large canister looking device in front of the master cylinder? Is that some sort of primitive brake booster setup? I'm enjoying the series as I've always like the Amazons.

Great to hear you are enjoying the series! I'm having fun working on it. To answer your question, that is indeed the brake booster!

The old girl is coming on really nicely! Have you got a name for it yet? Nice video set up you've got in the background there too 😉

Hearing your comments about using 12 and 13mm sockets during the removal the clutch slave cylinder, Volvo's 122 1800 140/160 444/544 cars are SAE and not metric.

Love your sense of humour man. Great work on this beast. So much rust- it’s a miracle anything is turning at all.

I think you forgot to tell us to go fix something in our garage. Maybe I missed it. Regardless, once again I’m inspired to go fix something in my garage. I think I’ll dremel the corrosion off of my fuse connectors and replace all the 40 year old fuses.

@@ShawnTheGreek You are absolutely right! I did leave it out this time. Time got away from me. I aim to inspire with every video I upload. CHEERS!

I'm pretty sure you're on top of this, but...the real challenge will be sourcing a puller for the rear drums. Rear wheel cylinders are my Amazon kryptonite. And rear adjusters are odd, white metal lumps that have to be taken apart, cleaned and relubed.
@DeanofMachines

I haven't even started on the rears yet so thank you for the heads up! I have what I THINK to be the right wheel cylinders but we'll find out when we get there. I don't have a drum puller but again, will reinvent the tool when ultimately the time is upon us. LOL

Love watching this series. My OCD wants you to pull the chrome trim back into position on the driver fender.

Hey Scott!! I know exactly what you mean! I was looking at it when I put the stone guards on and the trim is just soo perfectly bent around the trim ring. Ive decided to leave it for now since it goes with the look of the car
