They are not all the same there are quite a few different layouts, and some change within the same model year. Lots of trial and error before you re attach the arms.
For real - the bit where he said the wiper circuits hurt his brain made me think mine would've started hurting as soon as i tried to assess the first wires....
I`m totally jealous. I had a TG Gemini some 20 years ago. At that time I was running an import G180 twin cam with twin webbers. I was constantly worried about getting pulled over with the twin cam in it as it wasn`t the registered motor. So one day I decided to pull that motor out and put my rebuilt original g160/161 (what ever it was) back in. Painted the car a blue colour. Had polished camira wheels with matched blue recesses. Every night I took the wheels center caps off and placed them inside the car so know one could knock them off. One morning I woke up and went to go to work, but when I got out the front my Gemini was gone. Must of pushed or towed it away from the house as this little thing was pretty loud. Pricks thrashed the car and was found on its roof some 5-10 minutes drive from my place at the time. Behind factories in North Sunshine, Vic.. Car was stripped of all on the inside. Motor, gearbox, wheels even suspension were gone. Damn I miss that car. When yours is done, please keep her in a safe place at all times. Even if its for 5 minutes. Thats my rant for the year. I hope you get to enjoy yours for a long time to come. Cheers.
Glad you guys mentioned these last few videos have been 9 months of effort. We all know how instant satisfaction the internet can be and its nice to see honesty about timelines. It makes me feel better about the pace my project is moving at. I got one brake line bent and attached in an evening! Only 3 more corners to go haha
Long time viewer here and just wanted to say this was probably the most engaging episode ever. I was leaning in close to the screen checking for fuel drips, watching that turbo line for signs of oil pressure, and just generally really felt this episode. Can't wait to see what else is in store for this wicked Gemini!
What a journey from the humble begining in your mom driveway 15 years ago. If somebody has tell you, back in the day, in 15 years you're going to have a huge shop and you're going to rebuild your first car as beautiful as this one, did you believe him ?
Yes, cause I always wanted a workshop and would have got there some way or another, but I’m glad it’s this way because there so many cool moments to share!
Haven’t watched MCM in a few years. I used to watch every episode since 2011. Hearing some of the old soundtracks in the background brings back such good memories from what was sometimes hard times in life. Love that you’re still making great videos
LONG TIME viewer here, i starting watching in 2011 when i was about 11-12. this channel is and has fueled my passion for cars from my first honda at 15 through many other cars. i’ve pushed myself to work on and do everything myself. at 24 years old im proud to say im still a viewer and now drive a 2020 Mustang GT i boosted myself making 800hp . i’m so grateful for these guys they have molded my entire childhood and even into my adulthood these guys are awesome
Mighty Car Mods and Unicorn Circuit are the only 2 channels that keep my RU-vid app on my phone. Everything else feels like unwanted noise. Sounds negative, but feels so true to me. Thank you for being authentic. I, along with the 3+ millions subscribers truly appreciate your presence on this platform. I wish I could personally congratulate you and your team for being absolute LEGENDS!
Dave is a Legend... And I just knew Marty would have something backward on the fuel system.. This build has just been a celebration of so many craftsman like Brad and Dave. Another great episode lads..
Absolutely LOVE Moogs random appearances to hug Marty... We all been there working on cars and it just does not work out like the fuel line issue... My man Marty must have been SO ANNOYED. Quality video as always.
Fantastic job on the Gemini guys and great to hear it run too! Looking forward to getting it dyno'd and whatever project Moog has been working on too. Cheers.
Seeing that engine turn over is like a mini miracle! 🌟 It’s awesome how much teamwork goes into this. Makes me appreciate all those unseen hours. Let's be real though, who else was super anxious watching that key turn? 😅
I've been watching you two bring old, on the brink of car heaven to better then new car's. But what makes me keep watching you is keeping the factory look on the outside but underneath is where the magic happens. MCM i take my hat off to you.
Thanks guys I had a knock at the door this afternoon am I Gemini poster had turned up looks even better in person thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to own my very own little piece of MCM gold
I love that you show all the bits going wrong, the individual stages and tests. So many vids out there are like "we fit the new engine" and just turn the key and that's it.
Excellent work on Dave's wiring, man's a genius and this is why the car started as quick as it did. Cannot wait for the dyno soon once the engine has been broken in a little bit🔥🙌⚡️💫😎
Un freaking believable build lads. To all involved you've built a one-of that is just beautiful. The time put in by all, the detail in that engine bay, boot and nearly finished interior.... ACE!😍 Can't wait to see it hopefully at one of your events in the near future. Marty, Dave, Turbo Yoda, ALL the GEMINI community lads AND Domino's. A long-term job well done.👍👌
Love the content boys have been watching u guys for the last 5 years and all your work is such an inspiration for me Ive I ever get down on life and unmotivated I watch u you guys and is always a pick me up thanks for all the effort u guys put into your channel 👌👌👌
just the plethora of nerds with such immense passion for this old rust gremlin coming together to create something so beautiful. I think this is what MCM is all about.
I was working on putting LED headlights, tail lights, and flashers on my '67 mustang. I was getting hungry and needed an led flasher relay, so I stopped at dominoes and O'Reilly auto parts. When I got back, this was in my feed to watch during dinner. Also, there's '67 mustang on the front of the pizza box (atleast here in America)
