The brakes of that truck run off a second pump like a p/s pump. They are the dreaded Lucas Girling hydraulic brakes at the rear. Today, the rear brake system is extremely expensive to repair and most shops won’t work on them any more because they were tired of it 20 years ago. Only good attribute of the Lucas Girling brake was the park spring brake like an air brake system. Some FL Freightliner trucks actually had air spring brake pods for that rear brake system, but it didn’t cure the headaches of the hydraulic service brake, I.e., the system the brake pedal applies. The best modification you can do to that truck is to remove the engine for the pull tractor. The truck appears to have some good salvage parts to sell, and some that were…
