Why is everyone forgetting about Nigel McGuiness vs Bryan Danielson?? It's been getting teased for 2 years now and if Nigel is cleared then it has to happen especially at Wembley!

I said it the second he won that so-called "gauntlet match", it is way too early for this match against Swerve for the title. Should have been saved at the earliest at All In. Let me also add, Will Ospreay shouldn't have won the International title. He didn't and doesn't need it. Should have been Kyle O'Reilly chasing Roderick Strong for the title and eventually winning it.

This is neither here nor there, but I've noticed that when we talk about Wembly we don't refer to it by the event's name, but rather the venue.

I don't think Swerve should be loosing the title so soon and having such a short reign. I definitely believe Osprey can win it in Wembley next year from a monster heel and the point that with the current booking Osprey won't be as over in a year so capitalize now is actually kneeling into the booking issue of the company. The philosophy shouldn't be we cant keep talent hot for more than a year so strike now, they should be aiming to keeping their top stars relevant without just striking while the iron is hot. What Brain is saying to do sounds like just playing into the faults of the company because they don't have the confidence that they will have good enough booking to keep talent hot, which is something they need to improve not give into. The company should be able pass on Osprey winning the Championship at All In and still keep him hot for next year. That is what good booking would do and that should be their aim not being a slave to their current incompetence and not improving.

I'd rather see PAC taking on Swerve for the championship at Wembley, winning it, than Ospreay right now. PAC is ALWAYS looked over for the title, yet he's on the same level as Kenny Omega. It's in his home country, it's the perfect time. He's been there day 1, he missed last years All In due to injury. It's time for a PAC title run.

One thing to consider is that this is wrestling: an industry inhabited primarily by wrestlers. The better part of a year on from the Punk stuff, AEW is still a little bit in damage control mode behind the scenes, and in ANY promotion, putting the top prize on someone whose only been there a few months is a surefire way to ruffle feathers backstage among longer-tenured talent who -- rightly or wrongly -- feel as though they've been passed over in favor of the undeserving upstart. Maybe I'll be eating my words in a few weeks' time, but I really doubt Ospreay winning the title at All In 2024 was ever very seriously considered. It'll happen in 2025, by which point a heel (head says Rainmaker; heart says Switchblade) will have taken it off Swerve.

Is it a forgone a conclusion that they won't draw more than 40K for All In? I think there's still enough time to reach 50K but I could be wrong. It's definitely a drop since 2023, but still a superb number for a non-WWE event. It's ill-advised to assume AEW or any promotion can guarantee 80K for a one-night event in the same venue every year. Odds were always going to be that AEW won't be able to match 2023's numbers even if they were doing brilliantly which they aren't.

As an English fan who's going to Wembley again this year, I would say the vast majority of AEW fans here want Ospreay to win the title at Wembley and not just because he's the home country hero. Not to slag WWE but most of their British PPVs have always felt like glorified house shows, where we might see something like the European or Hardcore title change hands (or the women's tag titles in the most recent case,) but the odds of the world champion losing were as low as the bottom of the ocean. A new AEW champion being crowned in London, especially an English champion (again, never had an English world champion in WWE) would create the kind of moment they can replay forever and would be a show of respect towards overseas fans. Plus I'm still hoping for Danielson and McGuinness.

I'm glad Will doesn't appear to be in the Owen, at least until the Wild Card is revealed. For the longest time it feels like everyone has said "Ospreay is gonna win the World Title at Wembley!" with the only reason being is "Well he's from there so?" I'm sure it would be extremely nice for Ospreay and fans of his to see him win the World Title at Wembley, but him winning just because he's the hometown (?) hero is stupid. You'd potentially be disrupting feuds and character development just so someone can win in their backyard. By that logic does Mariah, Saraya, Kip Sabian, PAC, Anthony Ogogo and whoever else I'm forgetting have to win a Championship at Wembley, they're from the UK as well so?

I think Hangman is the wild card, wins the tournament and faces Swerve. Ospreay defends the International against Pac in the main event, in a nod to Bulldog/Bret for the IC in 92. The winner defends against a debuting Ricochet at All out a couple weeks later.

Honestly if it is Hagman and he loses to swerve again. I think it could take his character to another level. He cant beat swerve. Drives him insane. Make hangman a mega heel, hell bent on making every babyfaces life on the roster miserable. From osprey to mjf. Darby to OC. It could work.

The only way you have Hangman beat Swerve for the title at All In is if it leads to Hangman becoming the newest member of The Elite. The Bucks help Hangman beat Swerve in Wembley, and now they have a top heel to work with the Bucks that you can put against the likes of Ospreay or MJF.

Listen, I'm not a businessman nor do I know anything about wrestling matches, but if I'm Tony Khan I would either give Ospreay the belt and have him face MJF in Wembley. I see those two names and would spend big money on that match. We can argue that match doesn't need the belt but if you are trying to sell tickets that's a big headline match that will bring everyone to see it.

I hate when they spoil endings early. They did it with Perry helping the Bucks, and by Ospreay mentioning he doesn't need the family to win, it's obvious they cost him the belt.

There's no real demand for Ospreay to be the champion. Let him get screwed, and build towards him taking the title from a heel. Get the title to the EVP group, most likely Hangman... That group isn't convincing without that belt. Then have him be THE ONE that wins back the belt for AEW.

Ospreay needs to win the title at All In and then put on bangers over the next year. Then much like Omega tried to stop MJF from breaking his record, you do MJF/Ospreay at All In next year where Max tries to stop him from breaking his year-plus streak. MJF can elevate the International or TNT titles meantime. This assumes AEW gets a good TV deal and is hanging around in a year of course...until that TV deal is locked in, nothing's certain.

I always thought that it would be a better idea for Cody to wait a year. He came in and went 3-0 against Seth Rollins to kick off his return. He got hurt, and he came back and won the Royal Rumble at #30. The week before Wrestlemania 39, he became the first person to beat Solo Sikoa. He needed some obstacles. He needed some losses; to Roman, to Brock. He needed something to overcome in order for his title win to be more cathartic. Also, AEW waited with Hangman. He lost the #1 contenders match to Kenny Omega in 2020. He spent the next year in midcard feuds. He was built up, and was ready to win the title by the end of 2021. We can wait a year with Ospreay.

Danielson is wrestling Nigel. This has been obvious for two years. Swerve is wrestling Hangman (wild card).

The story is already there ffs. Ospreay loses to Swerve because he refuses to use the Tiger Driver and that momentary lapse allows Swerve to get the win. They have a rematch at Wembley where Ospreay finally pulls the trigger, hits the Tiger Driver and wins the title to a huge pop. Wrestling is so easy and yet somehow both companies fine a way to screw it up sometimes.
