I was honestly happy with either Ospreay or Takagi winning. They had a tremendous match. Also, why isn't anyone commenting O-Khan's suit game? He has sharp fashion sense. But, after all that time... what was the point of Priestley being in the Empire again?

It was the right move to let Will win. The United Empire had a terrible start. They all lost at Wrestle Kingdom, Kahn failed to capture the Never title, and Jeff lost early. This win helps them get momentum and come across as a legit group to be taken seriously. While I was cheering for Shingo to win I don't think this loss hurts him seeing as how he already had a spectacular run in the cup going through Okada, Goto, Kenta and Evil. If anything, I say the cup only increased his stock even more.
