Ospreay is indeed the ideal top babyface to build around right now. Hopefully AEW realizes this and continues to book him as such.

One thing I love about Ospreay is that he is unapologetically English. I find some British wrestlers alter their persona to fit a somewhat bland generic 'what Americans think an English person is' persona. Billy boy is simply an Essex boy. He talks like an Essex boy, walks like an Essex boy and dresses like an Essex boy. He even has banter like an Essex boy. He's a true GOAT for sure.

It really feels like AEW is on the cusp of something great with guys like Ospreay and Swerve. Like the energy is in the air and we are just waiting for the lighting to crack and bring AEW into a new era of prosperity. Exciting time to be a fan.

Ospreay is the full package. He is not just one of the "flippy guys" or "good in-ring wrestlers" that so often get disparaged by fans that believe that the WWE product is the only wrestling product. Yes, Will checks both of those boxes, but he is also a tall and well-built guy with good looks and natural charisma that can engage the audience when talking at the mic. And he's pretty young too. Even though AEW should probably keep focusing on his target audience of wrestling fans, I could see a casual viewer catching Ospreay on tv and be interested in seeing more of him.

Seeing you American guys say 'Bruv' is surreal to Brits like me. I love it.

I’ve been watching AEW since mid 2023 as they pulled me back into wrestling and I have never been more excited for a talent than Will Ospreay. I’m going to this weeks collision in my hometown of London and I know he’s probably not going to be there but I’m more excited then ever to be going to my first show in 8 years (also first televised event). Ospreay has the potential to be the biggest star in wrestling if he’s booked properly and remains injury free.

It’s refreshing to watch a video about AEW that’s not tearing the company down, I’ve been watching Ospreay since he was a Super Jr in NJPW, I knew he was great already and when he moved up to heavyweight he proved it, I don’t think TK will drop the ball in this case.

Back when Ospreay won the IWGP World Championship I knew he would be THE GUY to come and change the game in AEW. I’m really happy he’s proving me right.

If Tony can book long term, AEW has its' Austin/Rock with Swerve and Osprey. Throw in a Starks, Okada, PAC, Joe, and Omega/MJF (if they return)...you have a future beyond what the E offers

Will Ospreay is definitely looking to be one of AEW’s absolute best. Before he signed with them, the PPV matches he’s had with the likes of Orange Cassidy, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, etc. were very amazing. Now that Will has joined, and whether it be part time for PPVs only, or full time for every week, I cannot wait for all the 5 star classics he’s gonna have with all the new talent he’s with, and we should enjoy it while it lasts. Swerve Vs Ospreay is gonna be SICK when it happens!

As a fan of Will for forever now, since his RevPro match with AJ, this is the ultimate payoff and culmination for those of us that have been shouting his praises for ages now. He's been my favorite wrestler and the best wrestler since that BoSJ match against Shingo and, ever since, hes done nothing but raise the bar of what wrestling can be.

I thought I was jumping the gun when I said I thought he was the face of the company already. I feel Osperay is the person that represents AEW the most, but what surprised me is to find out that’s he’s the full package. He’s promo these past weeks made me like him more than I did before.

Will has only had like 3 matches so far in AEW and they’ve all been pretty good. I absolutely can’t wait for his match against Bryan Danielson at Dynasty because that will definitely be a MOTY contender

I met Will Ospresy at a WCPW show in Newcastle. He was legitimately the nicest guy. Easy to talk to, not condescending, which he could have since he’d just won his first BOSJ tournament. I’ve been so invested as a fan ever since and I’m so happy for his success.

"I'm a fan of grapps, not a fan of graphs" was simply perfect (I don't do the "chef's kiss" thing because I think it's lame and overused). I do feel a bit bad for the young AEW originals who might be feeling a bit overlooked with Ospreay waltzing into the company and effortlessly claiming the top spot, but honestly I think one of the feuds I'm most looking forward to is Will vs a returning MJF, who can go back to his heel roots as the angry former face of the company who feels he's been pushed aside. He and Ospreay could be the Austin and Rock of AEW's new era.

I was iffy on Ospreay because I didn't know I felt about that wrestling style. I became an Ospreay fan after that Forbidden Door match with Omega. My only issue with Will is that he should protect the Hidden Blade as a finisher.

There is no one. This is the greatest roster in the history of wrestling. Ospreay, Omega, Mox, Okada, Danielson, Shibata, Jay White, Joe, Pac, Cole, MJF, Christian, Copeland, Ibushi, Penta, Fenix, Starks, Strong, Claudio, Page, Lethal, Lee, Swerve, Takeshita, Miro, Mone, Shida, Brit, Toni, Statlander, etc. At any time, with some good writing, you can take 6-7 of those names and turn it into a main event storyline and then have the deepest mid-card ever; and every night we get wrestling quality only rivaled by mid-teens NJPW or 80s AJPW (or Smackdown 6/TNA with Angle/AJ/Joe and the X-division). Having a huge mark as the boss is both a blessing and a curse. Tony has perfect taste in the ring and lets guys go out there and experiment. But American wrestling isn't the same as Japanese wrestling. The soap aspect is engrained in wrestling's carny heart. And I believe in time they will realize that they need to balance their incredible talent (and access to other pools of incredible talent like NJPW) with long term storytelling across the full card. What Ospreay does represent, alongside Okada, Mone, and hopefully AJ, is a possible reset for other wrestlers on the roster. Get guys into huge feuds with great matches. Seeing Danielson and Ospreay go up against Shibata in the last month is a taste of that potential. Either way, I am sure that 2024 is going to be a great year for AEW.

Tranquillo you are making perfect sense but I think we also need more integrated storylines from a business perspective. There are things WWE is doing right and things AEW is doing right. WWE is very nicely blurring fiction and reality with heightened drama. AEW is putting an elite competition landscape. I would love AEW to tread in the middle part to cater to a wider audience while not losing the magic. That being said I freaking love this company. I often chat with some VPs of AEW on the product. That other day, I was at Boston at a venture meeting. I had to cancel two meetings as soon as I heard about Big Business being in town and drove straight there. AEW made me fall in love with wrestling again after a dystopian era of poor WWE poor booking from 2019-2021

Will Ospreay is just the best guy on the roster to headline the best show of the company. Will and Wembley just fit. And no, not all British people are worthy to headline All In. Saraya, for one, didn't deserve the title at All In. On a side note, hopefully, Jamie Hayter co-mains against Toni Storm.

Honestly, I wasn’t initially happy he joined aew only because I was such a wwe fan and still am, but I can admit, aew is such a great place for him and honestly I’m happy and he’s made me be more interested in aew than I was since mjf got hurt. It’s really exciting and I hope aew really treats him like the top guy cause this has been such an exciting time for wrestling!

AEW is a workrate company, and Will Ospreay is the best workrate guy around. I’ve grown tired of matches with endless kick-outs and spotfests, but Will Ospreay is the very best at that style. And cut one hell of a promo while doing it.

Will Ospreay is the one wrestler who makes me want to watch AEW again. I fell off watching after fulfilling a promise to my daughter that no matter what situation we were in (and we were being evicted at the time of All In being announced), I would take her to the first AEW show in the UK. I wasn't that familiar with Ospreay's body of work, but that night he immediately became my favorite wrestler. His in-ring work is probably the best I've seen, and his promo work has flourished in recent years. Is he enough to cover the issues with AEW, though? For me, what turned me off watching was the tribal fan bases of both companies, that hasn't really changed. I'm tired of the constant jabs from AEW towards WWE; I wish TK would just concentrate on booking the best week-to-week wrestling show he can with some goddamn storylines. He also needs to protect some of the talent from their own hubris, Bryan Danielson and Moxley being two examples. It's become tiresome watching Mox bleed in practically every match, and Danielson seems to get injured almost every match. Then you've got Adam Page, Ricky Starks, and Jack Perry all going into business for themselves. Between AEW and ROH, there are 16 or 17 recognized titles, plus another unrecognized in the FTW title. The Young Bucks made a mistake making themselves the heel after Brawl Out; as EVPs, it's not a great look for the company. I dunno, it just feels like a dumb move for the company to make Punk the babyface as it kinda rubs off on WWE, not that they need it with the run that they're enjoying under HHH's stewardship. Not sure if that's gonna make sense to anybody else. 😅
