He is absolutely the best dude. I had the pleasure of meeting him last April and he is exactly how he comes across. Stellar human being. He’s from New Jersey.
"I just don't understand how you're in one of the biggest deathcore bands and he doesn't sing like that at all?" You basically answered your own question. lol
Your gonna get a lot of Sleep Token requests from this (which you definitely should dive into them), but I feel like more people need to hear Will’s cover of Joji’s “Slow Dancing in the Dark.” I personally think it’s his best showcasing of his clean singing skills.
Will is such a cool person. So sweet & down to Earth. Y'all need to watch Will's cover of Sleep Token's song Hypnosis. It is really good. Also, check out more Sleep Token. They're incredible, unique, multigenre magnificence. Vessel (ST front man) is on a whole nother level with his vocals & song writing skills IMHO.
Hey BP, i´m a silent viewer out of Germany and love ur reactions. I can only recommend u to react to his Sleep Token Cover of Hypnosis it´s really fire.
You should watch The Charismatic Voice's video where they put a scope down Will's throat. The skill and control it takes to do his harsh vocals is absolutely wild.
it actually didn't really surprise me that Will can sing so well. The skills that make him such a great deathcore vocalist translate very well to clean singing. However, I didn't expect such a powerful voice from him.
Love Andiroo representing with the Lorna Shore beanie! Really glad you guys checked this out. I prefer Will's cover to the original version of Chokehold. Will captures the breathiness of Vessel so well, but has such a honeyed flow to his own delivery - and the way he drags out those consonants is perfection. He is very passionate about his love for Sleep Token and I think that emotion comes through in his covers. And yes, he did add in the harsh vocals here, that is not in the original song. That's part of why I love this version! Will doesn't sing cleans in Lorna Shore because that's not what Lorna is about. Lorna has never had cleans, it doesn't fit with their music. That's why the man has his own channel so he can showcase his different vocal styles there. As a long time supporter of Will's, I can tell you he has incredible range and is constantly improving. He has even expressed an interest learning to sing opera. There's much more to come from Will Ramos, my friends. Stay tuned!
Dope reaction guys. Will Ramos is my favorite singer in the metal scene, his voice is unreal and soul piercing. His cover of joji's slow dancing in the dark is mind boggling.
Love ST, and love this cover! The Charismatic Voice episodes where Will is introducing Elizabeth to ST are so fun ... all that puppy-dog energy, so excited about Sleep Token. He loves them.
Will Ramos is one of the nicest guys on the internet. He has a wholesome persona. He's done quite a few clean songs.. you can check them out on his youtube channel
What I love about Will and Justin from Tallah is that if you see them when they aren't performing, as soon as you see them in their element you don't expect such noise to come out of those boys. 😂
If you want clean vocals combined with earth shattering drums, growls, screams, and beautiful guitar works... try Swallow The Sun - This House Has No Home. Or basically any of their songs, really...
Will knocks this cover out of the park, but I personally still prefer the original. Hypnosis on the otherhand is one of the best covers I've ever heard, period. I hope y'all check that out as well.
I think this will be my first time hearing this too - I’m ready for it 💚💚💚💚 Personally I liked the singing part but that’s just me. He has a very nice voice. 💚💚💚
There’s a band called Ov Sulfur and they do deathcore vocals and clean singing too. They’re really good! The song Earthen is what you want to listen to
I feel like this cover came shortly after Will and Elizabeth from TheCharismaticVoice worked together. He helped her with harsh vocals and with his clean vocals.
i can really recommend the Charismatic Voice video with Will Ramos on Sleep Token「Chokehold」. they mention a lot of things about the singing that Will actually does in this video too. e.g. the first "made"
Will is from Puerto Rico. All of his tattoos have Puerto Rican influence, too! :) Sleep Token is a great band. I wouldn't say Will's is better or worse, I'd say he took the song and did his own thing with it. Both versions are phenomenal!
He does a fantastic tribute to this, the original doesn’t have the screaming though. Check out HYPNOSIS cover by Will of Sleep Token, it’s even better 🖤
Most of the heavy vocalists in the scene are the nicest fucking people ever. Domt get me wrong Not everyone. But mostly it takes a person that has been to the darkest places, to embody the brightest most beautiful outlooks. Will is a literal angel. Same with Alex terrible, Garret Russel from Silent Planet, Chris motionless, and so many more.
If you loved this you have to do Will's version of Hypnosis. He's really talented. I love sleep token but I love Will's version more . It's the little extra that he can do because he's so talented.
Will ramos one take to the hellfire! Vocals are much more forward in the mix and really shows his talent and range! It’s so good it’s like hearing the song for the first time again.
If you want to hear deathcore with clean vocals/singing, check out Take Flight by Termina. The singing is done by Andy Cizek, screaming is done by Andy and Nik Nocturnal, and the instrumemtals are done by Nik Nocturnal and Chris Turner (drummer). Andy Cizek is another powerhouse vocalist. He's the vocalist for Monuments (metalcore) and Makari (Swancore/math rock), and can basically do any style of music.
Vocal performance has been crazy in Metal bands and nowadays it is just being appreciated more! Sine you mentioned “One-Take” performances, I would love to see you guys react to Eddie Burg (Lead singer of the band Imminence) doing a one take of Desolation! The One Take is just as good, if not better, than the recorded track!
