I really hope Simo fights Odin: the god of knowledge who can see all things, against the human how can hide from anybody. I also hope that he has some ice/snow related powers.
Truthfully I think the creators of record of Ragnarok kind of wrote themselves into a corner because Simo is so highly anticipated that 4 years ago or 5 by this point when asked by the Japanese audience at that point who they would like to see get a character design reveal in the story it was Simo who won the overwhelming majority and he has been getting hyped up for so long and he's basically one of if not the most anticipated fighter on humanity's side. It's such a interesting idea that we've had some crazy interesting fighters for humanity but the one I see most in terms of discourse of who they really want to see flight is Simo because he's so unique in comparison to everybody else. And I too am on the bandwagon that I really want to see him fight odin and kill him because that would be so fucking crazy to think that a simple soldier who just put in time and effort to become the deadliest sniper in human history would take down *the* chief God of the North pantheon
Yeah I guess the authors never expected Simo to be so much more hyped for the reader base than the rest of the humans when the initially planned out the roster and matchups, so can’t blame em too much for not predicting his popularity, but yeah now they’ve really gotta make Simo hype and if he loses it better be like Teslas and be an amazing moment
@@SephTheSin That's basically the only way because legitimately people have been anticipating him for the longest time and I think it's simply because of the fact that out of all the fighters for humanity he legitimately feels like he is as relatable as it comes because all the other ones were great sumo wrestlers and great conquerors, the father of Mankind, great inventors but this was just a man through dedication and practice and simple responsibility became the deadliest sniper in human history so Out of all the humans he truly does feel like the one that we can connect with more than anybody else even with all the amazing back stories we've already gotten
Two other things that could pop up in Simo's round, based on his life. Simo actually killed the Russian soldier to have wounded him with that explosive bullet, so I think if there's going to be any tie in Ragnarok, it would be him landing a returning killing blow on his opponent before expiring After getting injured, Simo fell into a coma for several days. The exact day he came out of it was the day Russia withdrew from Finland territory. In real life, it was easily just a coincidence but with how ROR adapts history, I can see the story saying that his reawakening is the exact reason the Russian's fled
It actually makes sense, too. If Simo gets played up as a rifleman, there's no reason he can't squeeze off a last shot while his body is breaking apart.
This very nicely plays into my theory that the 13th round is going to be a tie which will force the 14th round (the humans have an extra fighter & Valkyrie because SOMEONE *cough* buddha *cough* decided to mess things up)
An ability that can only be used once is always incredibly interesting, whether it be once ever or just once per fight. Example: the Yomi Yomi No Mi in One Piece. You can resurrect once and never again.
I do love how the fandom has been building up Simo and Rasputin to be the S-CLASS fighters we want them to be. I'd love his battle to be a weird cat and mouse game as he tries to lure his opponent into target and take them out, while they're searching and looking for Simo. A microcosm of the Winter War, with the stakes even higher.
In terms of his weapons, I would say his bullets are his volundr and he has equal to the nber he has killed. But thet have the added cost of he being reminded of each momment he kills. Sort of a way to show off the ptsd he may have after his time at war. Better yet maybe by the end of his fight his gun gets destroyed and before loki or anbuis land a killing blow. Simo uses the last bullet and punches it into the gods heart
Or: the god is holding him up and asks if he has any last words. Simo looks them dead in the eyes and says "453" then spits the last bullet at them. Also, I wish there were some female fighters in the series (bar the Valkyries of course). I would have loved to see Cassandra, Ishtar, or Atalanta fight.

I hope the fight increases scale of both the size and length of fights that we have seen. Instead of fighting inside the arena, the fight could be relocated to an entire mountain that could be broadcasted to the area. Additionally, I think it would be neat if the battle lasted multiple days or even weeks, with both fighters meticulously hunting eachother while also surviving the environment.
I want Simo to either win, or if he does lose, i want him to throw his Valkyrie to the side and save her. Leaving all the gods shocked, this selfless act being the last thing this hero did, with Simo dying remembering his life as he fades away and says "Everyone... keep going... don't give up... we're so close...." And the last thing Simo does is smile at his Valkyrie, as a goidbye and as a "It's not your fault."
It would be nice to see, however the valkyrie would still die because they bonded with each other. Take round two for example. Adam died and so did the valkyrie even though the volundr didn't break

I hope they implement his outrageous ability to cheat death by having him poisoned, drowned, electrocuted and shot and still be able to recover from typically fatal wounds.
Okay, here's my theory. He's gonna fight Loki, and Loki will have the ability to either create body doubles or somehow drag humans down and transform them into copies of him. The main point would be that the copies wouldn't be divine in nature. He'd only have one Volund round. So, the second he saw what was going on, he would take the bullet from his gun and replace it with a normal round and would start taking people out. Eventually though, one wouldn't be pierced, with Simo having taken hits every time he took the shot, since he'd give away his position every time he fired, giving every enemy a clean death. Once he found the real one, he wouldn't move as he loads up his single shot, and before the army of Lokis could reach him, he would take the shot, ending the battle with a win for humanity. That's just my theory though. He's not gonna fight Odin, seeing as he's being shown as the final boss, and while Simo is extremely popular among the fans, he isn't being advertised as the most powerful human. Alright, time for some minor predictions for some of the other fighters. I kinda already said my thoughts on Loki in the comment above: he'll probably fight Simo and will use some ability to puppeteer some humans to fight for him, and will loose to Simo. Kintoki will probably be a bit weird. He'll probably fight whatever God they choose to fight after the whole Buddha Betraying the Gods thing, who I predict with be Hermes. Depending on a few factors, I could see the fight going either way, but I wanna lean towards him loosing, just cause of the drama it would cause. After all, Hermes has been shown to likely be strong. If he does win though, it'll be a close fight, and he'll probably pass out at the end of it, on his last legs after the hard fought battle. Nostradamus will be a fun fighter that will go into the battle without a Volund, but will form one(likely with Göll) after he defeats Odin, who I predict will be his opponent, but instead of fading away, he'll be filled with power, and basically becomes the reincarnation of the Primordial God that I can't remember how to spell the name of. As for his powers, I think the Joker of Humanity will have some sort of spacial or temporal manipulation ability, allowing him to win against Odin(or whoever he fights). Since I brought him up, Odin will probably have some ability that ages everything his aura comes into contact to, or some form of life force manipulation. He'll fight Nostradamus, loose, but then hold all the power of creation, and maybe all the abilities of every fighter who had died before him. I brought him up as a possible fighter, so I'll also talk about Hermes. I predict he'll probably be the fastest fighter, hence why he could manage to perceive the Fist that Surpassed Time. He would likely fight with either a cane or a pair of knuckledusters. By the time the fight really got going, he would likely have an immense level of respect for his opponent, and they'd both probably be having a lot of fun as they fought(Hermes comes off as almost as battle hungry as Zeus at times, so he'd probably love a good fight). Rasputin is a bit odd in my prediction, but still, should be fun to write this out. I think Rasputin will have a Death Negation ability. The only way to kill him is through a method that's killed him before, or by killing him in too many ways at once for his ability to keep up, hence how he died in his mortal life, stabbed, shot and poisoned, all at the same time. His opponent will be Anubis, and it'll actually be a pretty close fight. His Valkyrie will likely have some damage reflection ability, almost like an inverse of Qin's ability to feel the pain of others, where it can reflect any damage done to the user to the opponent. It would likely take the form of either an old staff or a medical bag filled with various syringes, with them all being filled with the injuries he takes throughout the battle. I'm not entirely sure how the battle will go, but I'm sure it'll be fun. Anubis will have some sort of ability that converts any damage he takes to power he can use in the battle, healing whatever wound was dealt to him, meaning you have to deal him enough damage to kill him instantly, or he will survive and destroy you. As stated previously, his opponent will be Rasputin, and I'm not sure who will win. Anyways, that's my predictions for the fighters we haven't seen fight yet, and that aren't in the current round. I don't really have much in the way of predictions for what'll happen here in Round Ten, but I'm hoping for the best(namely a fully destroyed arena from the damage done from all their attacks). I think Simo will actually fight Anubis in round 11 instead of the common Rasputin prediction I think the theme will be Hunter vs Prey with the match swapping back and forth between him and Anubis in each role. I actually think he might have some form of PTSD and doesn’t talk as a result, maybe Anubis would try to get inside his head about that since if his story is similar to what he did he could know of all the people Simo killed. I think if Simo fights in round 11 like I predict he will lose to Anubis. I think Anubis will be very fast and able to dodge his bullets. At the end he will realize that despite everything he did he never did anything wrong and will get to die happy for the first time in ages And Anubis will realize how much more death weighs on mortals than it does for gods and he will take his responsibility around death and how it impacts humanity much more seriously after he wins
I do have a bit of a theory/wish that out of all the fighters for humanity, he spends the longest with his Valkyrie. He says he got so good because he practiced alot, so he likely asked if he could fuse(?) with his Valkyrie and get his volund, and then just started practicing, over and over and over and over until his name gets called. He's already dead, so its not like he needs to eat, sleep or do anything, so until he is called to fight, he is just off in his little corner, grinding away.
That would be cool narrative wise if Simo’s real personality gets translated over, he could be written as a man who despite his infamy is actually a very cool guy, who doesn’t take pleasure from fighting or killing but does it when he needs to and would give his opponent a clean death. Definitely someone worthy to fight Odin, Loki, or Anubis. I would say Loki would be his best fight since Loki’s illusions would keep Simo on his toes and Loki’s chains can be used as a range weapon, but Simo would be fighting in a blizzard to keep the fight balanced and then the fight would take a suspenseful turn as Loki would be using his illusions to hide himself, while Simo is searching for the real Loki while avoiding a head on confrontation.
I mean he’s the only one with the gun. I’m just figuring out how his volund would work. Jack had a workaround in which (spoilers) anything he touched would become a weapon and he just yeet it at the enemy. But that was the magic of the Valkyrie, so would Simo be using the Valkyrie’s body parts as bulllets?
Or they could do like in Bleach with the 1st espada Coyote Starrk having his Resurreccion which was fused with Lilynette giving him guns and he shoots cero's for bullets.
I have a theory to why simo hayha will fight odin. And also why i think it would good if it happened. First off, in norse mythology, ragnarok is the twilight of the gods. The ones who die are odin, thor, loki, heimdall and others. But most importantly, *odin* is the one who dies. And in record of ragnarok it was said that zeus would fight in the later rounds. Mabye in the very last one. However, he fought in the second round. And after a while of thinking who would be the last one, i got an idea of who it would be: odin. Cause ragnarok is sorta for him. Its something from *his* culture. So, it would be fitting that he fights in it. And like in norse mythology, it would be better of it ended with his death. Cause that's what ragnarok is. Its the very thing that ends him. So, as much as i love norse mythology, i can't deny that it would be fitting for the tournament to end with his death. Now lets move on to simo hayha. What do we know about him? Well, everything we saw in this video. But most importantly is what was said about him dying close to the modern days. Which means he's the youngest of the einherjar. Just so we are clear, all einherjar members are ancient. Cause that's how history works. It helps us learn from the past. But out of all the einherjar members, simo is the youngest. So it would be fitting for him to be recruited for the final round. Cause as the youngest he gets to be the one who finnishes ragnarok. Also, norse mythology is a scandinavian culture. And in scandinavia is usually really cold and snowy (i would know). And simo is also from a snowy country. So if they fight in a snowy arena, it wouldn't just fit simo, but also odin. Cause they would would be fighting in an arena where the weather is the same as where they come from. So, conclusion: it would be fitting for odin to fight simo hayha in the final round where the arena is snowy cause they would be fighting in an arena where the weather is familiar to them, it would mean the end of ragnarok along with odin's end and by simo hayha's hand. The youngest of the 13 fighters.
my theory for simos fight: Simo vs Anubis, a showdown of the warriors of death. to start the arena i would want it to be the most massive of the arenas, a massive winter tundra and woodland like the hills of winter Finland, frankly i can think of a few ways this fight can go can. first be a fight of cat and mouse, Anubis is chasing simo who is hidden and taking sniper shots at Anubis, for the first part, then when Anubis catches up and the real fight begins, i belive simo will be on the low spectrum in terms of strength around the area of jack, but he is up there in the roster in terms of speed and reflexes, not incredibly but enough to keep him from being caught so quickly from anubis, for his unique skill/ trait i think his sight and instincts, meaning he has the greatest sight in history, simo is likely to be a strategist, and a fast one at that lets say Anubis catches up to him at one point, simo is able to act quickly and form some kind of diversion or suprise that will catch Anubis off guard giving him the chance to escape/ move to a safe distance again. the purpose of this fight i believe will be one of PATIENCE, being a sharpshooter Simo has learned to be very patient able to wait hours even days during the war, form the manga Anubis is a very arrogant and impatient god in my opinion, so he will likely use Anubis temper against him. similar to Poseidon Anubis severely underestimates his opponent and Simo will likely knock him down a few pegs, or put a few holes in him if ya catch my drift.
I can eventually see a scenario where Simo vs Loki happen, the god fighter walking toward simo could be one his most potential opponents aka Odin or Anubis but suddenly Loki remove his disguise, and then the ultimate sniper will be facing the master of trickery.
Personally, I would like to have Simo fight against Anubis My overall prediction/impression for Anubis is that he would be a CQC fighter with enhanced senses. Simo on the other hand would be a ranged fighter who relies on stealth and camouflaging to fight Anubis, Simo fights in the snow. Anubis fights in the Desert. which I think might take into account of the Arena they will be fighting

Why does ror changed the origin of real life people and inaccurate mythology gods? Simo was a legend but I hope they don't changed that much like they did to my boy anubis.
I can understand it to an extent since retelling something word for word is pretty boring as a storyteller and putting your own spin on it is always gonna be more creatively fulfilling, and personally I can enjoy these characters irrespective of their real life counterparts so as long as they fit the story I don’t mind how wild they go, like taking Tesla’s brothers death and changing it from a random horse riding accident to him dying on the way to fix the windmill just makes for a more compelling story, and making Qin Shi Huang a good king instead of a tyrant helps with the theming of R7, that said given Simos still in living memory I think it’s more respectful to show his backstory closer to life than others
