Abbey wants a blingy fishtail wedding dress but will her budget allow for an extravagant show-stopping dress? Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
@@nora4981 if she's not even willing to show the dress to the people closest to her, it's just rude and attention seeking from tlc to put the focus on exactly that. There are ways to emphasize stuff without zooming into cleavage like 12 times from all different angles.
As well, the money buys such a better quality of dress in this one. Brides come in with budgets of £1,000 and are never told their choice is limited whereas at Kleinfeld’s if they say $2,000 there’s often an issue about limited choice... OMG! And if they say $1,500- why they bring out 3 dresses and say unless the budget is raised, that's all they have to choose from. .. And I get sick of seeing the same ole dresses no matter the budget. The absolute BEST for value, quality AND. Unique styles is Lancashire - it's fabulous !
I actually understood it as emphasizing what she meant by revealing... no silly sound effects, no snobby remarks from the staff, no forcing her to go out in it ..
@@nora4981 sweety every house has different environment for life styles !!!! . It might be not wrong for u !!!! But she did mention that it was too much revealing for her !!! It was her choice to go in tradition way so basically its her own choice ! Thats why it was wrong for cameraman to caoture actual parts of her body which she doesnt even wanna to show them to her family and here more than 10k views are present
@@jemmaj2919 nooo i totally agree its a lot but i wrote that after binging SYTTD with brides of budgets of $10k+ so I was comparing their budgets. but yeah, it's defo a lot of money
@@jaileneramos8411 I'm only 19 but I only have $2.7k in my spending money and $2k in my savings, I'd go into shock if someone told me to spend 2k on a wedding dress atm
When I was 15 I remember thinking any bride spending less than 5k was a cheap b, now that i’ve gone through college there’s no way I’m spending more than 250$ on mine 😂
I'm sure you realize, of course, that every bit of this garbage is scripted, and is heavily directed by the producers, who are right there with the ones being filmed. There's no such thing as "reality" on reality tv, and that's been a well known fact from the very beginning of this vain form of "entertainment." Yes, David knows the prices on the gowns, but in case you haven't watched before, it's the same question he's directed to ask of the consultant every time, partly because it makes for "good" ratings, and partly because it gives the consultant another line to speak.
@Smileyrie James exactly, which is why showing the revealing dress to the world when she felt uncomfortable showing it to family is out of order, they could have chosen another dress
I mean. Us bigger girls get discouraged very easily because of how big we are I mean I'm 140 so no where near her but I relate to her like we hate clothes shopping bcuz we know shit dony look right on us all the time. Skinny people hate how it looks on the hanger n love how it looks on them but we love how it looks on the hanger n hate how it looks on us
Deep V neck line usually looks better on someone not so busty because the cleavage won't be too obvious and distracting. It's a pretty dress, but they should also consider what will really complement the bride.
There seem to be two schools of thought on this. One, "Don't you see how unbecoming this dress is? Give her something flattering or you are not a good stylist!!" The other, "How DARE you suggest that she should look for something different!! She SAID she wanted lace/sleeves/fishtail/whatever so SHUT UP and give her what she wants!!" Can't win with everyone, I guess.
I read this comment 5 days after it was posted and gave it a go. I just woke up from a medically induced coma after blacking out from alcohol poisoning. My liver shut down and my BAC was 47%; I have over $50k in medical bills.
Did you miss, that they were very much under budget on the dresses? I've seen countless episodes of David just trying to find the right dress. Sometimes it is over budget, sometimes it is under budget. I've just seen three episodes after each other a great deal under the budget.
I didn’t watch this video when it initially popped up because the thumbnail was too much. My first thought was why would a bride be showing all that cleavage. Come to find out the bride felt the same way. So why did the show ignore how she felt. She wouldn’t go out and show her family but you plastered her on international tv. 🤦🏾♀️
I think it’s so funny how they try on like 2 dresses every time and go “I’m really starting to panic that I’ll never find a dress” 😂 it’s so unnecessarily dramatic.
I mean with some people worry because they are body conscious or some people who are plus size brides, they worry more because options are more limited because of their size which is awful for any store. To me, that's being discriminating to a group of people and it's not right.
Let me just say.... she kept saying she wanted sparkle... they didn’t pull a single dress with actual “sparkle” (aka: rhinestones, beading) Like wth? That entire store and y’all don’t have a damn dress for $2K with some damn rhinestones on it?? Lol
I feel like sparkle isn’t the same as bling... sparkle for me is more like shimmer and small beading/rhinestones where as bling is more crystals and large rhinestones. I know that when I get married I’ll want sparkles but no bling.
Sparkle is different than “bling,” and most of these dresses have that layer of sparkly tool that catches the light almost like glitter, but it doesn’t seem to show up on camera
"Bling" details can be added to the dress in a lot of cases. It will be added to the cost of alterations but it's an option for lower budget plain dresses.
@@swanqueen i dunno. I have both a neurological disorder and been under heavy medication and I never sounded or came off as such. I think that's just how she talks and looks. It reminds me of the specials undateables episodes so maybe slightly disabled?? We could just be imagining things
Okay, I understand that they mean "will she find the amount of bling that she wants within her price range", but 2000 is not what I'd define as a "budget" gown holy shit
The Lancashire eps with Gok Wan are the best in the world for all brides and for big girls, Jo and Al in UK are the best in the world. American eps suck. I don't like this chap or his usual helper.
I was waiting for them to put a sparkly accessory in her hair and a bling belt on to show her what it could look like?? 🤷♀️🤷♀️ I'd love to see the end result/ fitting episode.
Despite going on and on about sparkles, I think she chose a lovely dress and had a great attitude! So many of the girls on this show get angry because it doesn't have enough sparkle, but she was great about it!
My favourite on her was 1st dress suited her perfectly looked beautiful & she could always get some sparkle added to it lol. But the one she got was beautiful on her too.
Beautiful beautiful dress that she chose! She looks AMAZING. Glad he found a dress in budget lol. Not sure what was so hard about finding a sparkly dress tho,...? I feel like that was not an unreasonable request
