Great Dagger, I had one of these when I was with the British Parachute Regiment. A friend gave me it. It was his great uncles who was a glider pilot in WW2. Great peice of history you have. And what a great find. Love the CJ5
That’s awesome man! I’m certainly proud to be its owner now. I always wanted one but they are hard to come by these days. I appreciate your comment! I’m partial to the old Jeep as well, looks like I’ll be keeping it after all. lol
Amc quality! My buddy said the most AMC statement ever uttered the other day. " The brakes felt good while she was towing me home." Sometimes they just like attention.
Cool video brother. Love the history components you add in. Awesome content. No rush to decide on selling these 2 units. You'll know when the time is right. I'd prefer a 4wd unit myself. Still searchin... Until the next one, enjoy and be safe.
I appreciate it buddy! I prefer them 4 wheel as well but the rarity of the 2 wheel is what draws me to it. My other one is 4x4 so have a 2 wheel kind of is cool. It’s the only 2 wheel drive anything I have ever bought lol
Well, I have learned that if you bought it, its worth buying. If not when you bought it, then certainly when you sell it. Love how ya fix em up. Happy Independence Day! Do something rebellious, it'll make you feel more American than anything else could. Plus it's fun. Enjoy the day with family and friends, be safe!
I appreciate it buddy! I always try to leave a Jeep better than how I found it. Rebellion runs in my blood lol I can’t be anything but a rebel it seems lol
It’s a 1980 if you mean the cj5. I’m asking 8k for it but I’m aware I won’t get that. lol I have a lot tied up in it and a lot of the major work is done.
It's the downside of making a living by selling vehicles. You have to sell them to make money, and people only want to buy the good ones! Sell them, put some of the money in your pocket, and use the rest to buy more and move them along. You're a foster parent for these things, gotta let them go!
I know what you are saying and I have done it all before. I don’t really regret selling any of the ones I have sold but the 2 wheel drive one is a once every 20 years kinda of truck, if even that. If I decide to buy one like it in the future, it would cost me a lot more to get it then. The cj5 isn’t rare but I do fancy it and it’s a good useable Jeep. Money is temporary but regret is permanent lol
@@redclaytraveler1949 I feel ya, brother...in the end, you know what's important to you. We all have stories of that car or thing we wish we'd hung onto, but usually they get sold to pay for a house, or kid's braces or other more pressing needs. Sometimes we had to face the reality that we weren't using it enough to warrant keeping it. In the end, we'd sell them again because those other things were at the time the higher priority. If you can move the CJ and get enough from it to continue to grow your business, then perfect! If not, in the end they're just things and the attachment isn't as real as it seems in the moment and you might feel like making a living buying and selling trucks is the more important thing. That's why it's so hard making a living from things we love! You'll get it figured out, just part of living. It's hard turning your collection into "inventory", but in the end that's what you'll need to do. As they say, dry your tears with the dollar bills you collect from the sales, which allows you to do what you really like which is scour the country looking for more gems to flip.
