They were told by the producers to do that. They must counter at least once, for content. It was said unconciously back in season i dont remember. Hahaha. A lady entrepeneur that time, said she was supposed to counter but the offer the sharks gave were too good
Probably because it imputes $1,000,000 less of a value than what they asked 😂. It’s a good offer, but there have been many times when the sharks give them the value they ask for and they still get two sharks.
@@pinkfreud62 yeah I noticed this to, and not to judge a multi millionaire by what they are wearing, but if I notice it, everyone will. Can she not afford a better wig?
Barbara: “I love your personality. I see a lot of myself in you both. Your dog is just the cutest. It reminds me of my uncle’s dog Sparky. I would play with him when I was just a little girl. Unfortunately Sparky slept on the couch, all the time. For those reasons I have to say, I’m out! Good luck.”
I think it's a cute idea but there's no way I could justify the price. Also a quick Google search shows many alternatives, most of them cheaper. Feels like one of those things you'll get tired of moving around your house looking for a place to put it but wont want to get rid of because you spent money on it.
lol. I know people who buy cars for 150,000 when you look online you can clearly get something to drive you from point A to B with the same level of comfort for 20,000 but for some reason range rover is still in business. Why do people pay 8 dollars for a cup of coffee when you can clearly get it for a 1.50! we could go on and on about pricing but it doesnt make any sense since you obviously but brand name products that are made at the same factory in china with the same material and spend a lot more to acquire that brand when there is a cheaper version
@@bjvu9460 Yeah and I believe the other companies jumped on the success of plufl, right? So they definitely had the right idea, I think they're now just the premium of the human dog bed market due to the price. I'm gonna get a cheaper one lol but if I could afford plufl I would so I'm sure plenty of people are! I'm autistic and I have a thing for laying on the floor but it's very uncomfortable for very long. Big market for these products that provide a different sensory experience too. I'm a napper but I hate spending so much time in my actual bed - plus it's not good for sleep hygiene. Lots of potential in this they didn't even address in this quick pitch!
Robert really loved the product when he rested in it, and seemed excited at the beginning, I'm honestly surprised he was thrown off simply by their slogan!
Or I could just get the extremely comfortable bed that I got for my dog for $50. I've passed out with my big pupper on that big comfy bed quite a few times. 300? That's ridiculous.
I've done just that quite a few times too. Though to be honest, a decent large dog bed it quite a bit more than $50 these days :( This just seems more like a cute but overpriced gimmick than a business.
I want one. I used to carry a dog bed and overnight bag for my son when he was little. Been looking for something like this for camping, meditation, kids soft space!!
So… technically its cozier than a giant beanbag chair. U know we have one in our medical school at the 24/7 room. You actually spend da night and sleep there if you wanted to.
The naysayers of this product are the ones that DONT OWN a Plufl. I use it daily, have it right in the middle of the living room next to the tv. It’s so comfortable and soft, I don’t even use my couches, and fall asleep almost always.
What’s funny is my mom brought a XL dog bed for her BF for a gift and he loved it…who knew there was a gap in the market for this…I could’ve even Ted it years ago lmao 😂
I graduated from UB in 2019 with an architecture degree and let me tell you, with the amount of all nighters, nights you're in studio and can't go to your dorm etc. I would have bought this without a second thought. This is genius
The two pessimist kept saying I don’t get it. It’s a dog bed for humans while everyone else in the world is saying yay a super comfy place to sleep in the middle of the living room!!! And two of the smartest sharks said Cha-Ching!
If i would have been in their place, i would have just ignored every question that green dress girl was asking...she was not into it from the beginning
@@mishmishb Not in this show, have you seen all the times the Sharks get offended by a counter offer or people not responding quick enough so then they drop their offer?
This is another example of rich people like that woman and Robert just not understanding the everyday life of people. They live in a make believe world, because they have endless amazing things in their houses. This is another Comfy type product.
I could almost see myself keeping something like that in the trunk of my vehicle so that I can take it out and do power naps wherever. 400 bucks for something like this, however, is way too much. I'll just nap in my car seat!
That new lady is kinda harsh… how many times does she need to say I DON’T GET IT WHO IS IT FOR despite the 2 guys repeatedly explaining and answering that question. What a dunce
Mark and Lori will almost certainly be able to reduce the cost of manufacturing and distribution. So if customers aren’t purchasing at the current price point, they’ll have plenty of room to reduce the price.
Very easy to say when watching at home fella. These shows are heavily edited so the pitch is far far longer than what you see. Plus nerves are a factor also.
