5 maps? I got 3 on mine! Mind you, to "unlock" the upper maps, you need to physically upgrade the car (new induction, sports cat, sports catback exhaust, etc.). And you have to plug into the car so it can find out how your ECU is tuned first. With an open deck design engine, and unforged pistons/ conrods, you do NOT want to listen to Dad (sorry if I got that wrong!) about upping the revs from its standard red line! If you have done no physical upgrades, you have to limit yourself to a "Stage 1" retune

Had this device for my MK3 focus rs, cracking bit of kit! Ran the same map you guys are, should be good for 380bhp on that with a few bolts ons. The best part about that device is you can keep is when you sell the car and use it on another car. There is also an asbo version of the map on the dreamscience site that you can buy as an extra that gives you crazy pops and bangs, but if you don't like drawing attention to yourself I wouldn't recommend it.

I've just put the MSD400 map on mine, night and day difference. Good video as always.

Get yourself a dsc suspension controller. I've just fitted one and it's made such a difference to the ride. I was able to drive in race and kept my fillings.

Great videos guys, really enjoying the channel I ran the dream science imap for roughly 6 months , Ben is totally correct when he said it’s a Big Bang of power high up , I went Msd mapping , the difference Is night & day ! ..so much more linear power delivery , you can’t really fault the price point of the imap , but far superior mapping out there for the Rs 👍

it would be much better to use a custom map for the car rather than any out of the box one, mostly because reliability and to best match your current power train setup and car's specifics. For example this ensures that the engine will not run with a mixture that is too lean or will detonate / knock, which will lead to engine damage. I would not run a generic map too long in my opinion especially if is boosting the power beyond a stage 1 level. If you are going to make further mechanical changes to the car is becomes even more recommended to adjust the map to fit the new specs...

I had this unit on my rs and got rid of it in favour of a cobb accessport which has far more feature and can hold something like 100 different maps

Dealt with Dreamscience since their early days in 2007,get on the M62 shoot off to Hull and have a chat with Jared or Carl and see what they can do for you to improve the FRS even more,i would say get an intercooler put on first before any other mods.

You could fix the pogo effect with the suspension with mountune lowering springs or coilovers.

ok so I bought one of these for the S550 Mustang GT - it was easy to use and the customer service was great- however the remap /tune was not nice- the gears changes were horrible and it kept either going into 1st gear or making the brakes really push on when coming to a stop every time. Especially in sport mode when down shifting the gears are no where near as nice- I found it undriveable with the braking / gear change when braking every time- I've now reverted back to stock and it feels so much better - feel for £400 on sale from £500 I would have rather gone for a dyno remap that would be better - the plug and play really doesn't work for Mustang GT's. I will sell it now on eBay and try to recoup some money- having done superchargers / Cam & Headers on my other muscle car I do know my stuff - I just wanted an easy tune for my daily.

I run ultima 2+ and the difference is brilliant im going to get a decat pipe and intercooler then run the v3

Needs an intercooler and exhaust system and then you can run the 420bhp map. I would buy one of these dreamscience handsets but as I have the mountune fpm375 already it seems a lot of money for not much eztra ooomph.

nice one lads, you'll get at least 380bhp on the lowest map, but 400bhp on the top one, just use 99 octane fuel for best results!

What supporting mods do you need for this lads? my rs currently has the fpm375 map on it so I have the upgraded air filter and pipe work but that’s it.

Ultima 2 is better for a standard car. Ultima2+ can induce a flat-spot as its calibrated more towards having a sports cat and hence holds turbo back a touch.
