Don't work on you legs every day, can almost promise that you'll be suffering from overuse and might be why your not progressing. Go whatch professional dunkers and how they train as well, people like isaiah rivera are good
I'm 5'10 and can grip rim. It's not about how strong your legs are, but technique. Just practice your technique of jumping and watch RU-vid videos on it. Depends whether u jump off one foot or two
I feel like it is definitely possible and would be easier to do if you caught it from a bounce lob. That way you could get a full strength running jump without having to hold the ball in your hands.

I’ve done it,just have to start to put the ball through your legs as soon as you leave the ground. But make sure your chest is up an head back. You can’t really be parallel to the grown but try to be. It takes focus ,it’s different
